Implementation and Verification of Channel Adaptive Private Broadcasting System Based on USRP (USRP기반 채널 적응형 개인방송시스템 구현 및 검증)

  • This paper shows a small and low-powered wireless communication system based on the ATSC broadcasting system using the ISM frequency band that can be used as a PBS(Personal Broadcasting System). It is designed to demonstrate a channel-adaptive CR(Cognitive Radio) system to provide a better service quality in the unlicensed band where co-channel interference exists. And it achieved very reliable communications by a closed-loop active phased array antenna. This ATSC-based personal broadcasting platform can be modified easily with given flexibility by using GNU Radio as an open-source signal processing platform based on USRP and implementing additional functions in FPGA. In addition, the chosen communication frequency resource can be managed and controlled by the return channel that transmits the channel status and communication parameters between transmission and reception in real-time.

  • This paper presents the design method and electrical characteristics of a high-efficiency power amplifier for a 50 Watts class repeater applied to a 5G system and used in in-building, subway, and tunnel. GaN was used for the termination transistor of the power amplifier designed here, and intermodulation signals were removed using DPD to satisfy linearity. In addition, in order to handle various requirements such as amplifier gain control and alarm processing required in the 5G system, the microprocessor is designed to exist inside the power amplifier. The amplifier manufactured to confirm the electrical performance of the power amplifier satisfying these conditions satisfied 46.5 dBm and the overall efficiency of the amplifier was 37%, and it was confirmed that it satisfied various alarm conditions and electrical characteristics required by telecommunication companies.

  • Recently the globalization of the media content industry, various activities have been made in the field of art and the speaker system is very important in the sound industry which is one of the arts. The directional characteristics of a loudspeaker refer to the radiation of sound in certain directions and are among the most important features of a loudspeaker. Designing a loudspeaker that can keep all of its constant directivity at all frequencies is difficult due to the wavelengths of audio frequencies and the size of horns and transducers. This study proposed gradient array methods to improve low frequency pattern control of full-range speakers to maximize Direct to Reverberant Ratios at the listeners.

  • 본 논문에서는 3차원 feed horn 안테나를 볼로미터에 결합함으로써 감지도(Detectivity)를 향상시킨 비가시광 영상 감지 소자를 제안하였다. Feed horn 안테나의 우수한 지향성(Directivity)를 통해서 주위의 잡음 성분을 제거함으로써 감지도의 향상을 확인할 수 있었다. 안테나와 볼로미터와의 결합 손실을 줄이기 위해서 볼로미터의 흡수층의 모양을 원형의 형태로 하였으며 크기도 안테나 폭과 일치를 시켰다. 또한 열적 고립 구조를 만들기 위한 지지 다리의 모양도 원형의 형태로 하여서 전체 길이를 증가 시켰으며 이로 인해 열전도도(Thermal conductance)를 $4.65{\times}10^{-8}$[W/K]까지 낮출 수 있었 다. 설계된 소자의 감지도는 $2.37{\times}10^{9}$[$cm\sqrt{Hz}/W$]을 나타내었으며 안테나 결합을 통한 감지도의 향상을 확인 할 수 있었다. 볼로미터의 제작은 MEMS 기술을 이용한 표면미세가공(Surface micromachining)법으로 열적 고립 구조체를 제작할 수 있으며 3차원 feed horn안테나는 SU-8이라는 음성 감광제를 경사회전노광시켜서 제작할 수 있다.

A Horn of Half-Wave Design for Ultrasonic Metal Welding (초음파 금속 용착용 반파장 혼의 설계)

  • Ultrasonic metal welding is one of the welding methods which welds metal by applying high frequency vibrational energy into specific area at constant pressure, avaliable in room temperature and low temperature. Ultrasonic metal welder is consisted of power supply, transducer, booster, and horn. Precise designing is required since each parts' shape, length and mass can affect driving frequency and vibration mode. This paper focused to horn design, its length L was set to 62mm by calculating vibration equation. By performing modal analysis with various shape variable b times integer, when length of b is 30mm the output was 39,599Hz at 10th mode. Also by performing harmonic response analysis, the frequency response result was 39,533Hz, which was similar to modal analysis result. In order to observe the designed horn's performance, about 4,000 voltage data was obtained from a light sensor and was analyzed by FFT analysis using Origin Tool. The result RMS amplitude was approximately 8.5${\mu}m$ at 40,000Hz, and maximum amplitude was 12.3${\mu}m$. Therefore, it was verified that the ultrasonic metal welding horn was optimally designed.

Design of a Ultrasonic Cutting-tool Utilizing Resonance Condition of Transverse Vibration of Beam Type Structure (보의 횡진동 공진특성을 이용한 초음파 진동절삭공구 설계)

  • Most ultrasonic vibration cutting tools are operated at the resonance condition of the longitudinal vibration of the structure consisting of booster, horn and bite. In this study, a transverse vibration tool with beam shape is designed to utilize the vibration characteristics of the beam. Design point of the transverse vibration tool is to match the resonance frequency of the bite to the frequency of the signal to excite the piezoelectric element in the booster. The design process to match the natural frequency of the longitudinal vibration mode of the horn and that of the transverse vibration mode of the bite is presented. Dimensions of the horn and bite are searched by trend analysis through which the standard shapes of the horn and bite are determined. After the dimensions of each component of the cutting tool consisting of booster, horn and bite are determined, the assembled structure was experimentally tested to verify that true resonant condition is achieved and proper vibrational displacement are obtained to ensure that enough cutting force is generated.

  • A linear power amplifier is particularly emphasized on the CDMA system using a linear modulation scheme, because IMD which cause adjacent channel interference and co channel Interference is mostly generated in a nonlinear power amplifier. In this paper, a new type of linearization technique proposed. It is presented that balanced MESFET predistortion linearizer added. Experimental result are present for Korea PCS frequency band. The implemented linearizer is applied to a 30dBm class. A power amplifier for simulation performance. Two-tone signals at 1850 MHz and 1851.23 MHz are injected into the main power amplifier. The main power amplifier with a 12.1dB gain and a P1dB of 30 dBm(two-tone) was utlized. The reduction of IMD is around 22dB.

  • This paper proposes a design and fabrication of the test equipment that is implemented as a part of the airborne tracking radar inspection under the environment of indoor simulation. This test equipment provides controlling the operation status of airborne tracking radar and replicating the velocity and range information of target by generating a variety of target signal. This is mainly composed of radar operation controller, target signal generator, horn antenna driving devices. Radar operation controller is able to perform the controlling of radar operation mode and monitoring in real time by serial communication. Target signal generator is generated doppler signal and range delayed signal using virtual target of RF-band. Horn antenna driving devices perform a role of target simulating exercise. In the end, the performance is demonstrated using experiment results of test equipment for airborne tracking radar.

무선 홈 네트워킹 기술 표준화 동향 및 발전 전망

  • 홈 네트워킹은 다양한 유ㆍ무선 네트워킹 기술을 적용하여 개개인의 생활을 더 윤택하게 해 주는 서비스를 제공하고 이를 통해 커다란 시장을 형성할 수 있는 미래의 신 성장 동력 산업이다. 이를 위해 PLC, IEEE 1394, HomePNA와 같은 유선 홈 네트워킹 기술은 물론 WLAN, WPAN, UWB 등과 같은 무선 네트워킹 기술이 여러 가지의 응용 분야를 무기로 자신의 영역을 차지하려 하고 있다. 따라서 댁내의 기기는 이와 같은 네트워킹 기술을 지원하도록 설계되어야 하지만, 그 위에 UPnP나 HAVi, Jini, HNCP 등과 같은 미들웨어가 탑재되어야 상호 호환성이 지원된다. 그리고 하나의 표준화된 H/W나 S/W 플랫폼 위에 혼 게이트웨이가 동작하면 집 외부에서 원격으로 새로운 서비스를 지원할 수 있게 되며 응용 분야가 다양하게 확장될 수 있다. 그 위에 유비퀴터스 네트워킹 개념을 도입하여 홈 네트워크가 필요로 하는 서비스를 지원함으로써 커다란 시장을 이끌어 갈 수 있게 된다. 본 논문에서는 홈 네트워킹 기술의 표준화 현황에 대해 정리하고, 차세대 성장 동력으로서의 홈 네트워킹을 위해 반드시 적용해야 할 유비퀴터스 네트워킹 개념과 이로부터 효과를 얻기 위해 집안에 홈 네트워크를 어떻게 수용하게 할 것인지에 대해 논하였다. 끝으로 유비퀴터스 네트리킹을 통한 막대한 시장을 먼저 확보하기 위한 무선 홈 네트워킹 기술의 아키텍처를 정하면서 이를 구현하기 위해 먼저 수행해야 할 Mesh Networking 기술 및 Multi-Hop 네트워킹 기술과 같은 연구분야에 대해 논하였다.(중략)
