Growth Effect of Mixed Organic Fertilizer Blending Poultry Manure Compost in Leaf Vegetables (가공계분 함유 혼합유기질비료의 시비효과)

  • Poultry manure compost (PMC) as the organic fertilizer sources has a high nutrient content such as nitrogen, phosphate and potassium, and its properties been affected by bulking agent. This study was conducted to evaluate properties of mixed organic fertilizer (MOF) containing PMC composting with sawdust and peat moss as bulking agent, and to measure a characteristics of plant growth by their application. The MOF containing 10~30 % PMC had a coincidency with its guideline in Korea. As applied with MOF containing PMC composting with sawdust (PMCS) or MOF containing PMC composting with peat moss (PMCP), dry weight of plant was increased in MOF treatments blending with 10~30 % PMCS or 10~30 % PMCP. In correlation coefficient between blending ratio of PMC in MOFs and plant growth indexes, PMCS was not significantly different, but its PMCP a positive effect (P<0.05). These results indicated that PMC was able to blend about 10~30 % as mixed organic fertilizer source, and its application increased in plant growth.

Time-split Mixing Model for Analysis of 2D Advection-Dispersion in Open Channels (개수로에서 2차원 이송-분산 해석을 위한 시간분리 혼합 모형)

  • This study developed the Time-split Mixing Model (TMM) which can represent the pollutant mixing process on a three-dimensional open channel through constructing the conceptual model based on Taylor's assumption (1954) that the shear flow dispersion is the result of combination of shear advection and diffusion by turbulence. The developed model splits the 2-D mixing process into longitudinal mixing and transverse mixing, and it represents the 2-D advection-dispersion by the repetitive calculation of concentration separation by the vertical non-uniformity of flow velocity and then vertical mixing by turbulent diffusion sequentially. The simulation results indicated that the proposed model explains the effect of concentration overlapping by boundary walls, and the simulated concentration was in good agreement with the analytical solution of the 2-D advection-dispersion equation in Taylor period (Chatwin, 1970). The proposed model could explain the correlation between hydraulic factors and the dispersion coefficient to provide the physical insight about the dispersion behavior. The longitudinal dispersion coefficient calculated by the TMM varied with the mixing time unlike the constant value suggested by Elder (1959), whereas the transverse dispersion coefficient was similar with the coefficient evaluated by experiments of Sayre and Chang (1968), Fischer et al. (1979).

Effect of Metal Ions on Iron Oxidation Rate of Thiobacillus ferrooxidans Used in a Bioleaching Process (Bioleaching에 사용되는 Thiobacillus ferrooxidans의 철산화 속도에 미치는 금속 이온의 영향)

  • The activity of microorganisms is an important factor that determines the efficiency of the bacterial recovery of precious metals from low-grade ore. Metal-leaching microorganisms must have a tolerance, within the concentration levels encountered to leached metals. In this study, the tolerance levels of Thiobacillus ferroxidans to the single and mixed metal ions systems, composed of $Zn^{2+}$, $Cu^{2+}$, $Ni^{2+}$, and $Cd^{2+}$ were investigated. When single metal ions of $Zn^{2+}$ (10~60 g/L), $Cu^{2+}$ (1~6 g/L), $Ni^{2+}$ (1~6 g/L), or $Cd^{2+}$ (1~6 g/L) were added to the growth medium of T. ferrooxidans, the iron oxidation rate of this bacterium was not significantly inhibited. The maximum inhibition percentage observed on the iron oxidation rate of T. ferrooxidans was approximately 50% in the medium supplemented with two or three mixed metal ions of $Cu^{2+}$, $Ni^{2+}$, and $Cd^{2+}$. However, when $Zn^{2+}$ was also added to the medium with the other metal ions, the inhibitory effect on the iron oxidation activity of T. ferroxidans was remarkably increased.

Sruvey of Raw Silk Reeling Water in Korea (우리나라 제사용수의 실태 조사)

  • This investigation was carried cut to obtain the reeling water conditions in Korea. The analyzed items of water were pH, colority, turbidity, acidity, alkalinity, solids electric conductibity hardness and heavy metal ions. About 40% of the reeling water were found to be agreeable, 30% were acceptable provided with some quality control and the others were out of acceptable range mainly based on the M-alkalinity, acidity, pH and total hardness. It was found that there was a following relationship between total hardness and electric conductibity with the relative correlation coefficient r=0.9145. y=15.967+0.22774x Where x, y are electric conductivity and total hardness respectively.

  • Acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive has been made utilizing organic solvents, but nowadays it is made by solvent-free system due to environmental problems. In this study, emulsion polymerization were carried out at $40^{\circ}C$ with methacrylic acid(MAA), n-butyl acrylate(n-BA) and 2-ethylhexyl acrylate(2-EHA) as monomers in the presence of anionic(sodium dodecyl sulfate, SDS) and nonionic(ethylene oxide types) surfactant mixtures. The overall conversion of the polymerization reaction in a mixed surfactant system was found to be higher than that in a single surfactant system. Emulsion stability in mixed or anionic surfactant systems was found to be over 12 week, which was better than that in nonionic surfactant system. Emulsion particle size decreased as surfactant content increased. The Tg and molecular weight of emulsion polymer were inependent of the type, the amount and the mixing ratio of surfactant. Based on the results of stability and peel strength, the optimum nonionic surfactant ratio in total 4 g of surfactant mixture systems is found to be 40~60% by weight where the nonionic surfactant has 50 ethylene oxide groups and 16~18 carbon atoms in hydrophobic alkyl chain.

Effect of Eff Component on Stability of IgY Antibody Acitivity to In Vitro Digestion (In Vitro 소화시 lgy항체 활성의 안정성에 대한 계란 성분의 효과)

  • In vitro 소화시 계란 성분이 anti-Y ruckeri IgY 항세 활성을 안정화시키는데 어떡해 관여하는지를 SDS-PAGE와 ELISA로 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. Anti-Y ruckeris IgY 항체와 난황 및 난백으로 혼합 후 펩신으로소화시킨 후 경우 1시간 후 난황 및 난백이 혼합된 시료에서 모두 anti-Y ruckeri IgY 항체의 heavy chain과 light chain이 분해는 되었지만 어느 정도 밴드를 관찰할 수있었으며, anti-Y, ruckeri IgY 항체 활성 측정한 결과 난황시료는 35%, 난백시료는 61%의 항체 활성을 유지시켰다. Anti-Y ruckeri IgY 항체와 오보알부민, 오보뮤우신, 라이소자임 및 오보뮤코이드를 혼합 한 후 펩신으로 소화시킨 경우 1시간 우에는 anti-Y, ruckeri IgY항체의 heavy chain의 밴드르 fdjsm 정도 볼 수 있는 형태로 나타났으며, anti-Y, ruckeri IgY 항체의 light chain는 오보뮤우신 및 오보뮤코이드가 홉합되어 펩신으로 소화시킨 경우 1시간 후에는 밴드를 거의 볼수 없었으나 오보알부민 오보트란스훼린 및 라이소자임에 혼합된 시료에서 밴드를 관찰할수 있었다. 특히 라이소자임과 오보트란스훼린의 경우 펩신 호화 2시간 우에도 anti-Y, ruckeri IgY 항체의 light 밴드가 관찰되었다. 펩신소화 1시간 후에 난백성분이오보알부민, 오보뮤우신, 라이소자임, 오보트란스웨린 및 오부뮤코이드 중에서 단지 오보트란스훼린만이 38%의 anti-Y, ruckeri IgY 항체 활서을 보인후 2시간 후에도 15% 정동의 활성을 나타내었다. anti-Y, ruckeri IgY항체와 난백 및 전란을 혼합한 다음 무지개송어 위 추출액으로 소화시 2시간 후에 난백은 14%, 전란은 69%로 anti-Y, ruckeri IgY 항체 활성을 유지시킨 것으로 나타났다.X> $e_{I}$ WPi_BE_QE]]]]]로 상징하며 WLWQ에 적용되는 몇 가지 제약을 관찰하고 이를 일반적인 언어원리로 설명한다. 첫째, XP는 주어로만 해석되는데 그 이유는 XP가 목적어 혹은 부가어 등 다른 기능을 할 경우 생략 부위가 생략의 복원 가능선 원리 (the deletion-up-to recoverability principle)를 위배하기 때문이다. 둘째, WLWQ가 내용 의문문으로만 해석되는데 그 이유는 양의 공리(the maxim of quantity: Grice 1975) 때문이다. 평서문으로 해석될 경우 WP에 들어갈 부분이 XP의 자질의 부분집합에 불과하므로 명제가 아무런 정보제공을 하지 못한다. 반면 의문문 자체는 정보제공을 추구하지 않으므로 앞에서 언급한 양의 공리로부터 자유롭다. 셋째, WLWQ의 XP는 주제어 표지 ‘는/-은’을 취하나 주어표지 ‘가/-이’는 취하지 못한다(XP-는/-은 vs. XP-가/-이). 이는 IP내부 에 비공범주의 존재 여부에 따라 C의 음운형태(PF)가 시성이 정해진다는 가설로 설명하고자 했다. WLWQ에 대한 우리의 논의가 옳다면, 본 논문은 다음과 같은 이론적 함의를 기닌다. 첫째, WLWQ의 존재는 생략에 대한 두 이론 즉 LF 복사 이론과 PF 삭제 이론 중 전자의 입장을 지지한다. 둘째, WP를 XP로부터 복원할 때 부분 자질만 복사된다. 이는 어휘가 통사층위로 들어온 이후에도 어휘 자질들이 완전히 동결되는 것이 아니라 계속 지시될 수 있다는 가설을 지지한다.

Cytotoxicity of Hyaluronic Acid Membrane Cross-linked with Lactide (락타이드로 가교시킨 히아루론산 막의 세포독성)

  • The biodegradable hyaluronic acid(HA) membranes cross-linked with lactide using the crosslinking agent, 1-ethyl-3(3-dimethyl aminopropyl) carbodiimide(EDC) were prepared as a potential biocompatible material for tissue engineering. HA membranes having different mechanical properties were synthesised by varying degree of the mole ratio of lactide to HA, EDC concentration, and crosslinking temperature. HA membranes were degradable in water solution and the degradation became slower with the increasing mole ratio of lactide to HA. HA membranes were sterilized using ethylene oxide gas and extracted with cell culture medium for 24 h at $37^{\circ}C$ and 200 rpm. Cytotoxicity of the extract was tested using NIH/3T3 mouse embryo fibroblast as a model cell. Growth inhibition was not observed in the extracts of HA membranes with the mole ratios of lactide to HA, 5 or 10, and 10% EDC concentration, however 11% of growth inhibition was observed in the extract with the mole ratio of 13. Growth inhibition was not observed in the extracts of HA membranes prepared with 5% EDC or 10% EDC and the mole ratio of lactide to HA, 10, however 12% of growth inhibition was observed in the extract with 20% EDC. Cytotoxicity was not observed in the extracts of HA membranes prepared at varying crosslinking temperatures, $15^{\circ}C,\;25^{\circ}C,\;and\;28^{\circ}C$ with the mole ratio of lactide to HA, 10 and 10% EDC.

Fatty Acid Composition, Contents of Tocopherols and Phytosterols, and Oxidative Stability of Mixed Edible Oil of Perilla Seed and Rice Bran Oil (들기름과 미강유 혼합 식용유의 지방산 조성, 토코페롤 및 식물성 스테롤 및 산화안전성 측정)

  • The fatty acid composition, selected minor components, and the oxidative stability of the mixed edible oil (perilla seed oil and rice bran oil, 3:7 (v/v)) were analyzed. The fatty acid composition of the mixed oil was 32.1% of oleic acid, 30.6% of linoleic acid, 21.4% of linolenic acid, 13.0% of palmitic acid, and 1.7% of stearic acid. The mixed oil contained ${\alpha}$, ${\gamma}$ and ${\delta}$-tocopherols and tocotrienols showing the highest contents of ${\alpha}$-tocopherol. Total amount of tocopherols contained in the mixed oil was 46.63 mg/100 g oil. The composition and content of phytosterols were determined by a GC equipped with a flame ionization detector. Total quantity of phytosterols in the mixed oil was 712.80 mg/100 g oil. The most predominant phytosterol in the mixed oil was ${\beta}$-sitosterol, followed by campesterol and stigmasterol, in a decreasing order. The oxidative stability of the mixed oil was much higher than that of perilla oil, and similar to that of soybean oil, indicating the high oxidative stability of the mixed oil.

A Study on Supporting Design Decision Making in Office Building Remodeling Projects by Introducing Mixed Reality (혼합현실 도입 오피스 건물 리모델링 프로젝트 설계 의사결정 지원)

  • In the remodeling projects, clients without architectural expertise have limitations in presenting requirements accurately. In some cases, designers and contractors may not recognize their demands exactly, and deliver final products that are different from the clients' intentions. 3D modeling visualizing final products in previous has been regarded as a solution to enhance understanding and communication. However, this approach has the limitation that the final results are presented as a virtual outputs. In the remodeling project, an alternative, mixed-reality, is likely to reinforce the reality as it enables to present remain structure and the parts to be built together. This paper examines the mixed reality as a solution to support decision making of clients and practitioners in remodeling projects. The examinations is conducted in high-rise office remodeling projects by means of action-research. Clients and practitioners, overview product models presented in the format of 2D drawings, BIM and mixed reality asked to evaluate the effectiveness of each methods in 12 standards. The results have shown that mixed reality has improved the sense of reality, making it easier to predict results, but recognizing patterns is difficult in some areas such as the floor, and it caused dizziness.

Unconfined Compressive Strength of Cemented Sand Reinforced with Short Fibers (단섬유를 사용한 시멘트 혼합토의 일축압축강도 특성)

  • A study on cemented sand reinforced with short fibers was carried out to improve its unconfined compressive strength and brittle behavior. Nak-dong River sand was mixed with Portland cement and polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) fibers. A PVA fiber widely used for concrete reinforcement is randomly distributed into cemented sand. Nak-dong River sand, cement and fibers with optimum water content were compacted in 5 layers and then cured for 7 days. The effect of fiber reinforcement rather than cementation was emphasized by using a small amount of cement. Weakly cemented sand with a cement/sand ratio less than 8% was fiber-reinforced with different fiber ratios and tested for unconfined compression tests. The effect of fiber ratio and cement ratio on unconfined compressive strength was investigated. Fiber-reinforced cemented sand with 2% cement ratio showed up to six times strength to non-reinforced cemented sand. Because of ductile behavior of fiber-reinforced specimens, an axial strain at peak stress of specimens with 2% cement ratio increases up to 7% as a fiber ratio increases. The effect of 1% fiber addition into 2% cemented sand on friction angle and cohesion was analyzed separately. When the fiber reinforcement is related to friction angle increase, the 8% of applied stress transferred to 1% fibers within specimens.
