Two-zone Modeling for Combustion Processes of HCCI Engine (균일 예혼합 압축착화 엔진 연소과정의 Two-Zone 모델링)

  • The Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition(HCCI) combustion is currently under intensive investigation because of its potential to increase thermal efficiency while greatly decreasing NOx and p.M. In order to account for the thermal boundary layer effects, the two-zone model has been developed to analyze the combustion characteristics of HCCI engine. The detailed chemistry are represented by the GRI mechanism 3.0 involving 53 species and 325reactions. The present combustion model has been validated against the experimental results. Computations are also made for the wide-range operating conditions of HCCI engine.

Turbulent Heat Transfer with Mixing Vane in Nuclear Fuel Assembly (핵연료 봉다발내 혼합날개에 의한 난류열전달 해석)

  • The purpose of present work is to analyze the convective heat transfer downstream of mixing vane in subchannel of nuclear reactor with three-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations. SST model is selected as a turbulence closure by comparing the performances of two different turbulent closures. Three different shapes of mixing vane are tested. And, thermal-hydraulic performances of these vanes are discussed. The results show that twist of the vane improves the heat transfer performance far downstream of the vane.

  • 최근 연료 가격의 상승으로 자동차용 연료에 벤젠, 톨루엔 등을 혼합한 가짜휘발유가 많이 유통되고 있다. 가짜휘발유는 벤젠, 톨루엔 등의 방향족물질을 혼합하거나 경유, 등유 등을 혼합하여 사용한다. 방향족 화합물이 많이 함유된 휘발유를 장기간 사용할 경우 차량의 고무부품을 팽윤시켜 연료의 누출 등에 따른 화재 발생의 가능성이 높으며, 톨루엔은 열함량이 작기 때문에 연소효율 저하로 연비를 악화시킨다. 또한 자동차 연료의 조성은 배출가스에도 많은 영향을 주는 것으로 알려져 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 가짜휘발유 사용에 따른 배출가스 영향을 정확히 파악하기 위해 휘발유 중 방향족 함량이 다른 세종류의 연료를 사용하여 배출가스 및 연비에 대한 영향을 조사하였다.   • Nocolok 브레이징을 이용할 경우 저농도 플럭스와는 달리 고농도 플러스를 이용해 필요한 부분만 도포해야 한다. 일반적으로 고농도 플럭스 도포의 경우 인력을 이용한 수작업을 실시하므로 작업이 비효율적일 뿐만 아니라 플럭스 분진 날림 몇 열 등으로 인해 기피하고 있는 실정이다. 그러므로 경제적이며 효율적인 고농도 플럭스 자동 도포 장치의 개발을 통한 품질 향상 및 생산 단가 저감 등이 절실한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 고농도 플럭스 자동 도포 시스템을 제작을 위해 수치해석을 이용한 고농도 플럭스 혼합 탱크의 혼합 효율성 및 정수압력을 이용한 유량 분배 해석을 실시하였다.

Condensation Heat Transfer Coefficients of Binary Refrigerant Mixtures on a Horizontal Smooth Tube (수평관에서 이원 혼합냉매의 응축 열전달계수)

  • In this study, condensation heat transfer coefficients(HTCs) of 2 nonazeotropic refrigerant mixtures of HFC32/HFC134a and HFC134a/HCFC123 at various compositions were measured on a horizontal smooth tube. All data were taken at the vapor temperature of 39$^{\circ}C$ with a wall subcooling of 3~8K. Test results showed that HTCs of tested mixtures were 11.0~85.0% lower than the ideal values calculated by the mass fraction weighting of the pure components HTCs. Thermal resistance due to the diffusion vapor film was partly responsible for the significant reduction of HTCs with these nonazeotropic mixtures. The measured data were compared against the predicted ones by Colburn and Drew\`s film model and a good agreement was observed.

Analysis Study on the use of Frequency and the Cooking Method of Leaf and Stem Vegetables in High School Foodservice (고등학교 급식식단의 엽경채류 식재료 사용 빈도 및 조리방법 분석 연구)

  • This study was conducted to extract the factors affecting the microbial safety of leaf and stem vegetables in the high school foodservice and to provide information for supplying the safe foodservice menu. The lunch and dinner menu (1,945 data) of the total 6 high schools at the Central and the South Region in March, June, September, and December were collected. The frequency analysis and the multiple correspondence analysis (MCA) based on the 3 factors (potentially hazardous food (PHF), leafy and stem vegetables in the menu, the cooking methods) were conducted. The most frequent PHF was the menu of blanched vegetables, salads, seaweeds and fried chicken. The most frequent consumed leaf and stem vegetables were spinach, chive, lettuce, Western cabbage, perilla leaf, iceberg lettuce, chicory, leek and broccoli. MCA based on the leaf and stem vegetables, the region, and the cooking method (cooked/non-cooked) showed that garlic stem and spinach were more used in the Central Region, while water drop-wort were more used in the South Region. Iceberg lettuce, Bok choy and leek were included frequently in the PHF menu. Plant products frequently used in PHF menu requires the food safety system such as Good Agricultural Practice (GAP) to reduce the microbial risk. The menu database according to raw materials based on cooking methods (heating or mixing) as well as the development and verification of menu based on the microbial safety will be contributed to provide the safer foodservice menu.

Horizontal 2-D Finite Element Model for Analysis of Mixing Transport of Heat Pollutant (열오염 혼합 거동 해석을 위한 수평 2차원 유한요소모형)

  • A numerical model has been developed by employing a finite element method to simulate the depth-averaged 2-D dispersion of the heat pollutant, which is an important pollutant material in natural streams. Among the finite element methods, the Streamline Upwind/Petrov Galerkin (SUPG) method was applied. Also both linear and quadratic elements can be applied so that irregular river boundaries can be easily represented. To show the movement of heat pollutants, the reaction term describing heat transfer was represented as an equation in which sink/source term is proportional to the difference between the equilibrium temperature and water surface temperature. The equation was expressed so that the water surface temperature changes according to the temperature transfer coefficient and the equilibrium temperature. For the calibration of the model developed, analytic and numerical results from a case of rectangular channel with full width continuous injection have been compared in a steady state. The comparisons showed that the numerical results were in good agreement with analytical solutions. The application site was selected from the downstream of Paldang dam to Jamsil submerged weir, and overall length of this site is about 22.5 km. The change of water temperature caused by the discharge from the Guri sewage treatment plant has been simulated, and results were similar to the observed data. Overall it is concluded that the developed model can represent the water temperature changes due to heat transport accurately. But the verification using observed data will further enhance the validity of the model.
