An Extension of LL($textsc{k}$) Covering Grammers (LL($textsc{k}$) 커버링 문법의 확장)

  • 본 논문에선 LR 문법의 부분 클래스를 동치인 LL 문법으로 변환하는 방법을 제시한다. 이 변환이 적용 가능한 문법을 확장된k`-transformable 문법이라 정의한다. 변환된 문법은 left-to-right 커버의 성질을 만족한다. 기존 연구에서 제시한 변환 방법은 LR 문법의 부분 클래스인 {{{{k`-transformable 클래스와 PLR 클래스를 LL 문법으로 바꾼다. 이 논문에서 제시하는 새로운 변환 방법의 적용 가능한 문법의 범위는 k`-transformable 클래스와 PLR 클래스를 포함한다. 기존의 커버링 성질을 만족하는 LL로의 문법 변환은 보편적인 LR 파서의 행동을 시뮬레이션하여 얻어진다. 이 과정에서 쉬프트, 리듀스 행동 이외에 무한의 가능성을 가진 스택 스트링의 유한 표현을 위해 리덕션 심볼에 대한 예상 행동이 추가된다. 본 논문에서는 파싱 문맥을 나타내는 LR 아이템들을 기존의 스택 스트링 표현 형태에 추가하여 스택 스트링 표현법을 정제하고, 리덕션 심볼에 대한 예상 방법을 확장하는 정형식을 제시한다. 이에 근거하여 LL 커버링 문법이 존재하는 클래스를 확장된 {{{{k`-transformable 문법으로 확장시킨다.Abstract A new transformation of a subclass of LR(k`) grammars into equivalent LL(k`) grammars is studied. The subclass of LR(k`) grammars is called extended k`-transformable. The transformed LL(k`) grammars left-to-right cover the original LR(k`) grammars. Previous transformations transform k`-transformable and PLR(k`) into LL(k`). The new transformation is more powerful in that it handles the extended k`-transformable subclass of LR(k`), which strictly includes k`-transformable and PLR(k`) classes. The previous covering transformations into LL grammars are obtained by simulating the actions of the conventional LR parser. Specially, a predict action of reduction goals is added to the action set in order to finitely represent stack string. In this paper, the stack string representation is refined by adding LR items to represent a parsing context, and the prediction of reduction goal is extended by generalizing the prediction formalism. Based on them, the previous grammar classes with LL({{{{k`) covering grammars are extended to extended k`-transformable grammars.

  • A new era has come where high quality educational materials can be acquired easily through the World Wide Web. These materials, however, need to be refined and streamlined to maximize their effect on education. In order to provide such a streamlined flow, we need to be able to re-organize documents, which exist independent of each other on the Web, in a way that maintains their appropriate order in the right context to satisfy educational purposes. In addition, we should be able to provide supplementary explanations or missing information to the organized materials for smooth connections among them. In order to meet the requirements, we employed the virtual document concept that allows us to reuse existing documents for educational purposes. By providing a retrieval engine for virtual documents, we attempt to induce self-directed learning based on document retrieval, suitable for the level and purpose of students.

Product Evaluation Summarization Through Linguistic Analysis of Product Reviews (상품평의 언어적 분석을 통한 상품 평가 요약 시스템)

  • In this paper, we introduce a system that summarizes product evaluation through linguistic analysis to effectively utilize explosively increasing product reviews. Our system analyzes polarities of product reviews by product features, based on which customers evaluate each product like 'design' and 'material' for a skirt product category. The system shows to customers a graph as a review summary that represents percentages of positive and negative reviews. We build an opinion word dictionary for each product feature through context based automatic expansion with small seed words, and judge polarity of reviews by product features with the extracted dictionary. In experiment using product reviews from online shopping malls, our system shows average accuracy of 69.8% in extracting judgemental word dictionary and 81.8% in polarity resolution for each sentence.

  • This paper proposes the design and implementation of HTML-based Intelligent help system for application developers and users. In existing help systems, developers had to write topics, index, and contents of whole document by themselves. Furthermore those files are linked to one project file, which is in previously compiled form, and user can't modify topics and index information of their help documents. Especially in RAD environments, even though new features or packages are additionally announced, still users should be able to access and replace new help documents with existing ones. But these procedures are very complex in real world. The proposed help system is designed to analyze existing HTML documents, extract help data with regard to user's interest and is facilitated to authorize help contents with the user interface. Removing inconvenience in implementing context-sensitive help contents with the user interface. Removing inconvenience in implementing context-sensitive help system is also considered. In conclusion the proposed system in this paper can be actually useful when adopted into any typical Java RAD such as Bluette for its help system.

Logic Analyzer of Composite Hangul Units for Implementation of Input Methods (한글 입력 방식의 구현을 위한 범용적인 복합 낱자 분석 시스템)

  • A Hangul input method consists of two core components: key layout for primitive units (Natja), and binding rules to form more complex, composite units from primitive ones. However, careless design and implementation of an input method may result in ambiguity and inability of contiguous typing, when it comes to handle composite Hangul units. This is due to the collective nature of Hangul, namely, existence of implicit boundaries between units and syllables. This issue gets more challenging for the context-dependent 2-beolsik method, mobile environment having significantly fewer keys, and yet addition of the support for Old Hangul. For the sake of the management of complexity, we devised a system in which the binding rule is divided into two layers rather than one. Based on this concept, we implemented a tool program that, given the primitive units and their binding rules, generates input details of every composite unit and detects any potential ambiguity and conflicts. We presented the actual analysis result for Samsung Cheonji-in and KT Naratgeul, two of the most popular mobile Hangul input methods used in Korea.

Morpheme Recovery Based on Naïve Bayes Model (NB 모델을 이용한 형태소 복원)

  • In Korean, spelling change in various forms must be recovered into base forms in morphological analysis as well as part-of-speech (POS) tagging is difficult without morphological analysis because Korean is agglutinative. This is one of notorious problems in Korean morphological analysis and has been solved by morpheme recovery rules, which generate morphological ambiguity resolved by POS tagging. In this paper, we propose a morpheme recovery scheme based on machine learning methods like Na$\ddot{i}$ve Bayes models. Input features of the models are the surrounding context of the syllable which the spelling change is occurred and categories of the models are the recovered syllables. The POS tagging system with the proposed model has demonstrated the $F_1$-score of 97.5% for the ETRI tree-tagged corpus. Thus it can be decided that the proposed model is very useful to handle morpheme recovery in Korean.

  • In computer graphics, fluid dynamics are used for animating and expressing the various special effects of water. Although the algorithms that were impossible through the hardware at that time become to be possible in real time, it still requires a lot of time to achieve the realistic and detailed expressions. Therefore, there are many researches on the techniques of balancing between performance and quality. Specially in environments with the game context which express the interaction between water surface and 3D objects in the wide area such as sea or lake according to user's request, it must give priority to the executive performance preserving the visual reality even though physical reality is sacrificed. In this paper, we propose a method for the realtime animation of interaction between water surface and 3D objects using the linear convolution of height fields and the bounding spheres of objects.

An Abstract Grammar for XML Document Editing (XML 문서 편집을 위한 추상문법)

  • A document type definition(DTD) which defines tags for a document is a XML document grammar that defines syntactic structure of a document. An XML document keeps the rules and must be parsed to check validation. To parse XML document, the deterministic parsing method of programming language is irrelevant because it does not satisfy the definition of deterministic content model in element declaration. In this paper, we consider editing of a valid XML document in syntax-directed editing environment, and we suggest the internal storage representations of syntax in DTD and theirs algorithms. The consequence is that a syntactic structure of textual DTD is transformed into graph and table structures. The table structure of DTD is interpreted the context free grammar which has attribute values and is used in syntax-directed editor for XML. We called this the XML abstract grammar and showed generated results and examples.

  • In the contemporary modern society, information and knowledge generate a set of new social values. These changes demand a transformation not only in socio-cultural and educational spheres, but also, specifically, in the field of culture and art education. Culture and Art education emphasizes the integration and cross-discipline of other related fields which have great impact on culture and arts. This study applies theoretical analysis of Animation education in the context of culture and art education. Animation education takes an interdisciplinary approach to integrate various subjects in the field of culture and art education. Animation, as a form of culture and art education, plays an educational role in the social classroom. Animation education should be developed and expanded to become a regular classroom course. The goal of Animation education is to pursue and develop a connection with other educational courses of study. In order to strengthen the role of Animation education, we should first re-structure the pedagogical role of Animation education. Secondly, Animation education needs to become a diversified and popularized education. Third, the cultivation of creative human resources is considered of vital importance to Animation education. Finally, the expansion of infrastructure and the establishment of a comprehensive support system for Animation education has to be established.
