The purpose of this study is to analyze middle-aged female householders' reasons behind becoming female householders, process of adapting to female householders' life, and experiences in preparation for old age using Colaizzi's phenomenological method. The participants were 9 middle-aged women (aged from 40-59) having professions. We interviewed each participants twice, for 60 to 90 minutes at a time from September to December of 2014. The result of this study showed following 6 emergent themes: , , , , and . Regarding the result we suggest the necessity of political support such as providing information and education for female householders' successful old age.

Local area festivals have grown on a scale for the past 20 years, but have suffered ups and downs. Through the trial and error of the festival operation, problems such as prediction of the number of visitors, planning of event scale, calculation and expansion of sales volume, and management of various participants in the duration were highlighted. To solve, this study designed and developed a mobile payment system and festival operation management system for local scale festivals as a platform operating system of web and app combined. The results of this study presents four basic functions. It includes ticketing management, attendance identification and entrance control, charge of festival currency and use of payments, real-time provision and management of related information, and performance reporting for each role. It was applied to local festivals in practice as to enable local shop owners to participate in advertisements or sponsorships and confirmed their contribution to local commercial market and the revitalization of festivals through this system.

The sinking of the Sewol ferry has not only induced an intense conflict in Korean society but also been developed into a sociopolitical issue. This paper divides this accident into five stages and examines the records produced at each stage. The Sewolho Citizen Archive Network and the Ansan Citizen Record Committee began the archiving of Sewol and created the 416 Archives. The records of Sewol are social and political records that hold envidencial and historical value. They can be used to rebuild and recover the wounded community as well as to investigate the truth behind the case. Accident archiving collects materials different to the ones which public archiving does, allowing people to view the incident from a different standpoint. It is also characterized as an archiving of the current issue, social movement and regional community. Accident archiving is a method which ensures credibility and impartiality in memory. In light of Sewol archives, accident archiving can contribute to form mature democracy.

As society develops, the dissemination of microdata has increased to respond to diverse analytical needs of users. Analysis of microdata for policy making, academic purposes, etc. is highly desirable in terms of value creation. However, the provision of microdata, whose usefulness is guaranteed, has a risk of exposure of personal information. Several methods have been considered to ensure the protection of personal information while ensuring the usefulness of the data. One of these methods has been studied to generate and utilize synthetic data. This paper aims to understand the synthetic data by exploring methodologies and precautions related to synthetic data. To this end, we first explain muptiple imputation, Bayesian predictive model, and Bayesian bootstrap, which are basic foundations for synthetic data. And then, we link these concepts to the construction of fully/partially synthetic data. To understand the creation of synthetic data, we review a real longitudinal synthetic data example which is based on sequential regression multivariate imputation.

This study shows that reality in interactive documentaries can be distinguished between narrative reality and visual reality, which can be defined as a feature of reality-based interactive documentaries. This study reveals the visual reality in that all audiences who visually watched "The Maribor Uprisings" were immersed in the movie presented by the producer, and thus sympathized with the problems of non-violent protests and social conflicts through two-way communication between the audience and the actors. This study also confirms that epic reality in that it can selectively participate in the narrative of movies through questions about democracy in action. Besides, this study finds that the reality expressed in the interactive documentary deepens the audience's 'immersion', showing that the direction of the narrative can be determined by reflecting the opinions of the audience on an event or narrative of the movie. In this process, the audience was found to have the characteristics of being able to recognize and rediscover events in the movie as if they were close to them.

trans-Cinnamaldehyde (TCA), as one of the active ingredients in cinnamon, has been reported to have antiviral, antibacterial and antifungal effects as well as anti-cancer effects in several cancer cell lines. However, reports of TCA in gastric cancer are rare, and its mechanism is unclear. In this study, we investigated the anti-proliferative effect of TCA and its mechanism in gastric cancer AGS cells. TCA dose-dependently inhibited the cell viability of AGS cells. Our results suggested that TCA induces apoptosis through changes in cell morphology. To elucidate its mechanism, we investigated the expression level of apoptosis-related proteins. TCA induced the expression of p53 and Bax proteins, and then increased the cleaved caspase 9 and cleaved PARP. These results indicated that TCA triggers apoptosis via p53 pathway in AGS cells. Our results suggested that TCA might be a new anticancer drug candidate for gastric cancer.

The ground shear force at the expected failure surface and resistance force due to reinforced anchor can act as important factors according to a failure type from the stability viewpoint at a slope. Furthermore, the anchor's axial force may vary at an anchor-reinforced slope due to ground weathering, settlement, and corrosion in the incompletely anti-corrosion treated steel wire strand at a ground where the bearing plate is installed. However, in case that the resistance force of the anchor is locally lost due to the variation of the anchor's axial force, the resistance force may not play the role so that the external force tends to be transferred to the surrounding anchors, causing an increase in the tensile force in the surrounding anchors. Accordingly, a stability problem at the entire slope may occur, which requires much attention. Thus, this study proposed a method to monitor a variation trend of the tensile force of anchors installed at a slope and infer the external stability at the entire slope considering the monitoring result.

This study was focused on social stigma in utilizing community child centers which are selective child welfare institutions. The study model derived from the stress process model. The purpose of this research was to investigate the effects of stigma on happiness among children in community child centers and mediating effects of empowerment and community social capital as coping resources. The data were collected from 5, 6th grade students who are attending community child centers located in Daegu and Gyeongsan city. Data of 175 were analyzed and SPSS Process Macro and bootstrapping method were used. The results of the study were follows. First, stigma among children in community child centers showed significant direct effects on happiness. Second, empowerment and community social capital had significant mediating effects on the relationship between stigma and happiness. Based on the results, the policy and practice implications to improve happiness of children in community child centers were suggested.

The purpose of this study is to research and develop the concepts and functions of the Metabus dog fashion show. Currently, as the pet-related industry grows rapidly, the pet fashion industry is also naturally growing. However, unlike the fast-growing fashion industry, it was not enough to meet the needs of dog owners. Therefore, this study attempted to develop a metaverse dog fashion show by supplementing the problems that arise when purchasing existing pet clothes through metaverse. As a research method, first, a survey was conducted on the rise in the actual pet-related industry and the social trends of metaverse and virtual fashion shows. Second, the existing dog clothing purchase characteristics were examined through user demand analysis, and user needs were derived. Third, the appropriate form of content was established, and a new content consumption environment called metaverse was analyzed and derived. Finally, functions were derived and developed to give users satisfaction. In the future, it is necessary to study a clear payment system in connection with the actual dog clothing business based on this.

Purpose: Metal fires occur in metal handling, processing, waste storage plants, etc. It is difficult for firefighters to extinguish metal fires, and it takes a long time, so caution is needed in fire suppression. Method: In this study, current statistics and problems of metal fires were introduced, and then the effectiveness was verified by experiments with using fire extinguishing agents used in Korea. Comparative suppression experiments of 5 different fire extinguishing agents for burning powders of 99.9% magnesium over 150 ㎛ were performed following the metal powder type test method of Class D fire in ISO 7165. Result: 5 fire extinguishing agents are the power types of dry sands and expanded vermiculites most commonly used in Korea, the certified class D fire extinguisher used abroad, and ochers requiring verification, and the liquid silica gel. Conclusion: The results of experiments showed expanded vermiculites were the best metal fire extinguishing agent considering effectiveness, convenience of use, and economical feasibility.
