Autofocusing algorithm for the Video Measuring System (VMS에서의 자동 초점 조절)

  • 고배율 렌즈를 장착한 3차원 비접촉 측정 장비에서 컴퓨터 비전을 이용한 정밀도 높은 형상의 측정을 위해서는 선명한 영상 획득을 위한 정확한 초점 위치 결정이 선행되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 정초점 위치를 찾기 위하여 수동형 초점 조절 방법을 사용한다. 각각의 렌즈 위치에서의 입력 영상에 대해 초점 위치 추적의 척도가 되는 초점값을 변형된 LoG 방법을 이용하여 측정하고, 측정된 초점값들의 렌즈 위치에 따른 분포 곡선에 대한 가우시안 정합을 적용한 정초점 위치 검색을 통해 최적의 초점 위치를 결정하는 기법을 제안한다.

  • 본 연구에서는 컴퓨터 상에 제어기와 구동부 등으로 구성된 가상제조시스템(Virtual Manufacturing System)을 구축하고 시뮬레이션하는 방법론을 다룬다. 특히 설비들간의 이동시 발생할 수 있는 3차원 공간상의 충돌을 검출하는 이산사건 및 연속상태 혼합 시뮬레이션 방법론을 소개한다. 시뮬레이션 모델은 DEVS(discrete event system specification) 형식론(formalsim)에 기초한 형상기구학 정보를 갖는 이른바 GKDEVS(Geometrical Kinematic DEVS)을 이용하였고, 시뮬레이션 방법론은 DEVS의 추상화 시뮬레이션(abstract simulation)방법을 확장하였다.

  • 용접과정에 필요한 데이타를 신속하게 얻을 수 잇는 용접데이타 시스템(1)을 개발하였다. 용접데이타 시스템은 철강재료의 용접에 적용할 수 있고 관계형 데이타베이스 시스템을 채택하고 있으며 용접 데이타베이스, dBASE 3 PLUS 및 응용 프로그램으로 구성되어 있다. 용접데이타는 용접법, 모재, 용접재료, 이음부 형상, 용접시공 데이타를 수록하고 있으며, 응용프로그램은 데이타의 신규입력, 수정, 삭제, 검색의 4부분으로 구성되어 있고 사용자의 편의를 위해 I/O format program과 graphic 처리를 위한 BASIC 프로그램이 포함되어 있다. 프린터로의 출력은 현장에서 이용 가능한 PQR의 형태를 취하고 있다.

  • In the stereo vision system, information about an object could be gained by searching through images. Edges which are based on the information about an object are used to find the position of the object and send a message of its position coordinate to a unmanned crain. This thesis proposes an algorithm to find the center point of the object's surface which is connected to the unmanned crain's arm, and to recognize the shape of the object by using two CCD cameras. At first, getting information about the edges, and distinguishing each edge's characteristics depend on user's option, and then find the location information by a set of positions that are proposed. This thesis is expected to be devoted to the development of an automation system of unmanned moving equipment.

  • As factory automation is getting popular, there has been a lot of research concerned with stereo vision systems as a part of an automation system with unmanned moving equipment. In the stereo vision system, information about an object could be gained by searching through images. Edges which are based on the information about an object are used to find the position of the object and send a message of its position coordinate to a unmanned crain. The Study of the Geometric Structure Optimization for the Stereo X-ray Inspection System Using the Calibration (Calibration을 통한 스테레오 X-ray 검색장치의 기하구조 최적화 연구)

  • In this paper, we presents a sensor calibration technique using stereo X-ray images to provide efficient inspection of fast moving cargo objects. Stereo X-ray scanned images are acquired from a specially designed equipment which consists of a X-ray source, dual-linear array detector, and a conveyor system. Dual detector is installed so that rectified stereo X-ray images of objects are acquired. Using the stereo X-ray images, we carry out a sensor calibration to find the correspondences between the images and reconstruct 3-D shapes of real objects. Using the Image acquired from the stereo detectors with varying distances, we calculated the GCP(ground control point)of the image. And we figure out the error by comparing calculated GCP and GCP of the real object. The experimental results show the proposed technique can enhance the accuracy of stereo matching and give more efficient visualization for cargo inspection image.

  • Due to the digital technology, the TV broadcasting platform is evolving to the digital-TV, which is supporting data broadcasting service. Although the data broadcasting services (i.e., games, wether information, stock trading service) provide rich entertainment to viewers, they make the operation manners of digital-TV so complex that some viewers feel difficulty in using their TV sets. Several researches have been performed to address the problem by improving the functions of EPG such as searching and reserving programs, applying gesture and voice recognition technologies to operating EPG, guiding the design of the EPG's user interface, and developing agents helping EPG to behave intelligently. A research, however, that tries to address the problem that viewers have different familiarities with IT services has not been performed yet. The paper tackles the problem by letting a viewer to choose an EPG configuration (among the several EPG configurations provided by a broadcasting network) and designing an EPG that implements an EPG configuration based on the choice.

  • A robot assembly method which uses configuration and force/torque information of tactile sensor system and performs chamferless peg-in-hole tasks is suggested and experimentally studied. When the robot gripes the peg with random orientation, the realignment of the peg to the hole center line is successfully performed with the gripping configuration information of the tactile sensor and the inverse kinematics of the robot. The force/torque information of the tactile sensor makes it possible to control the contacting force between mating parts during hole search stage. The suggested algorithm employs a hybrid position/force control and the experiments show that the algorithm accomplishes well peg-in-hole tasks with permissible small contacting force. The chamferless peg-in-hole tasks with smaller clearance than the robot repeatibility can be excuted without any loss or deformation of mating parts. This study the possibility of precise and chamferless parts mating by robot and tactile sensor system.

The Development of a System for Product Search Using a Sensibility and Configuration Database on Designing Men's Jackets (신사복 재킷디자인의 감성 및 형상 데이터베이스를 이용한 제품검색 시스템 개발에 관한 연구)

  • The contemporary period is called "the age of sensibility" in which each individual consumer seeks to have her or his own products. Businesses are in need of design developments with an emphasis on customer sensitivity, and at the same time consumers must understand their own sensitivity to acquire information on designs that suit them. This research established a sensitivity and configuration database on designing men's jackets using the sensitivity engineering approach to clothing design information. The user interface was created on the Internet. Sixty-seven sensitivity terms of vocabulary appropriate for the assessment of men's jacket design were selected, and the different designs were classified into six items and 24 categories. Thirty men's jackets with different designs were produced for sensory testing and the results were analyzed in accordance with general linear I statistics. A sensitivity database was established for each category. My-sql, PHP, Java Script, and Html were used for the configuration database work. The configuration of items/categories, with the most appropriate sensitivity database information assigned to the selected sensitivity vocabulary, was programmed for display on the computer screen. The sensitivity vocabulary of a customer's choice for each factor was selected for the program to run, while the category and product configuration of the men's jacket most suitable for the search was displayed based on the user interface.

  • Recently, the facility extension construction and maintenance market portion has increased instead of decreased the newly facility construction. In this context, it is important to examine the reverse engineering of MEP (Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing) facilities, which have the high operation and management cost in the architecture domains. The purpose of this study was to suggest the Large Point Cloud-based Pipe Shape Reverse Engineering Method. To conduct the study, the related researches were surveyed and the reverse engineering automation method of the pipe shapes considering large point cloud was proposed. Based on the method, the prototype was developed and the results were validated. The proposed method is suitable for large data processing considering the validation results because the rendering performance standard deviation related to the 3D point cloud massive data searching was 0.004 seconds.
