  • The current road traffic signal controller developed in the 1990s has limitations in flexibility and scalability due to power supply problems, various communication methods, and hierarchical black box structures for various equipment and devices installed to improve traffic safety for road users and autonomous cooperative driving. In this paper, we designed a road traffic safety facilities equipment and devices integrated management system that can cope with the rapidly changing future traffic environment by solving the using direct current(DC) and power supply problem through the power over ethernet(PoE) technology and centralized data-driven control through message broker technology. In addition, a data-driven real-time control method for road traffic safety facilities equipment and devices operating based on time series data was implemented and verified.

  • In 2015, the paradigm of hazardous chemical substance management in Korea shifted from the workplace to the regional level due to the complete revision of the Chemicals Control Act. Although regional chemical accident response plans were established in 2020, there were slight differences in the scope and criteria of each local government. Therefore, this study compared and analyzed chemical accident response plans established in four different regions to provide insights into effective chemical accident response plans. Based on publicly available information, the current status of accident preparedness, chemical accident response systems, and resident evacuation response and education/training were compared and analyzed. The results showed that there were not significant differences in the accident preparedness and response systems between the regions. However, there was a lack of discussion on the preparedness system linked to the characteristics of each workplace in each region. Additionally, there were differences in education and training for residents between regions. In the future, each local government needs to establish a response organization that fits the characteristics of their region and develop strategies for agile and effective accident response through cooperation with relevant agencies.

  • Indonesia's Keplauan Liau region is facing limitations in the development of connected transportation infrastructure due to its archipelago nature, budget constraints, and lack of land. Transportation demand is increasing due to its strategic location in the Malacca Strait Business Triangle and many tourist visits from Singapore and Malaysia. However, due to the nature of connecting many islands, the establishment of transportation infrastructure has not been achieved. This paper aims to predict the innovations that can be brought about by the introduction of advanced air mobility (AAM) with an electric vertical take-off and landing (e-VTOL) system through analysis and application consideration of the actual situation in Indonesia's Kepulauan Liau region. In addition, it intends to contribute to national-level review and policy establishment on the establishment of innovative transportation infrastructure using AAM, reflection in infrastructure construction plans, and active global cooperation.

  • Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) are typically described as a two-player game between a generator and a discriminator, where the generator aims to produce realistic data, and the discriminator tries to distinguish between real and generated data. However, this setup often leads to mode collapse, where the generator produces limited variations in the data, failing to capture the full range of the target data distribution. This paper proposes a new training system to mitigate the mode collapse problem. Specifically, it extends the traditional two-player game of GANs into a multi-player game and introduces a peer-evaluation method to effectively train multiple GANs. In the peer-evaluation process, the generated samples from each GANs are evaluated by the other players. This provides external feedback, serving as an additional standard that helps GANs recognize mode failure. This cooperative yet competitive training method encourages the generators to explore and capture a broader range of the data distribution, mitigating mode collapse problem. This paper explains the detailed algorithm for peer-evaluation based multi-GANs training and validates the performance through experiments.

  • In recent years, the aircraft interior industry has been rapidly evolving, incorporating advanced information technology (IT) elements as competition in the aviation industry intensifies. In Korea, a display system for aircraft, called cabin display system (CDS), is being developed in collaboration with Boeing. This paper discusses the design and implementation of cabin display system remote control software (CDS RCS), a remote control software for the CDS. CDS RCS was developed by applying the aircraft data load process developed in-house using the ARINC-615A standard, and the communication protocol between devices applies the MQTT protocol. Unlike existing CDS control software, CDS RCS is designed as an MQTT client and can operate independently of other MQTT clients. It is also developed for android-based devices, which can be easily installed on personal terminals, and is expected to greatly enhance the convenience of flight attendants.
