Development of a Far Field type Megasonic for Nano Particle Removing (나노입자 제거용 Far Field 메가소닉 개발)

  • Improved far field type(improved type) megasonic applicable to the cleaning equipment of single wafer processing type has been developed. In this study, to improve the uniformity of acoustic pressure distribution(APD), we utilize far field with relatively uniform APD, piezoelectric ceramic with a triangle hole in its center to prevent standing wave resulted from radial mode, and reflected wave from the wall of waveguide. On the basis of these methods, two analysis models of improved type were designed to which piezoelectric ceramic of different shape of electrode attached, and APD were analyzed by means of finite element method, and then one of them was selected by analysis results, finally, the selected model was fabricated. Test results show that the fabricated is better in the uniformity of APD than the imported and the conventional, also the fabricated shows high particle removal efficiency of 92.3% using DI water alone as a cleaning solution.

  • This study analyzed characteristics of computer education from the perspective of $21^{st}$ Century Skills and Computational thinking. $21^{st}$ Century Skills are essential skills for success in today's world. They include critical thinking, problem solving, communication and collaboration. Computational thinking is a necessary ability in the age of convergence and a core concept of computer science education. This study first examined characteristics of $21^{st}$ Century Skills and Computational thinking. Then, it analyzed the relationship between these two skills and 'Informatics' curriculum. 'Informatics' is an elective course in K-12. The results of this study emphasized the importance and the necessity of computer education in the K-12 level.

Methemoglobinemia development after ingestion of a chinese herbal medicine: A case report (한약 복용 후 발생한 메트헤모글로빈혈증 1예)

  • An 8-year-old girl visited the emergency room with perioral cyanosis and dyspnea, which had developed 20 hrs prior to the hospital visit. She had taken a Chinese herbal medication for 3 days prior to the onset of the symptoms. A co-oximeter examination revealed a methemoglobin level of 23.7%. An intravenous infusion of methylene blue was administered. Chemical analysis of the herbal medication revealed an ammonia (NH$_{3}$) level of 239.41 mg/L. More studies are needed on the correlation between methemoglobinemia and the components of Chinese herbal medicines.

  • In the loess-paleosol sequences from central Great Plains, U.S.A., variation in magnetic susceptibility, FD, NRM have been proven to be excellent proxy for paleoclimate, and the standard interpretation is that climatic processes have enhanced the rock magnetic intensities. By using mineral magnetic properties, we show the magnetic signal is due to pedogenesis during the warm and possibly wet interglacials and interstadials. Other proxy records, such as stable carbon isotope and phytolith, are in good agreements with the magnetic records.

  • A study on the mineralogy and internal features have been carried out on a sample of ferromanganese crust from a Central Pacific seamout. The distribution of manganese mineral vernadite($\delta$-MnO$\sub$2/)in the different layers indicates typical hydrogenous origin under a continuous change of growth conditions during crustal firmation. Various internal structures are discerned within the crust which may be attributed to different growth conditions. The growth structure changes and the distinct break in the formation of the crust at about 2 depth are assumed to be the results of Miocene to mid-Pleistocene global palaeoceanographic events.

A Study on the Weight Loss of Island-in-a Sea Fabrics by Ultrasonic (초음파를 이용한 해도직물의 감량 가공에 관한 연구)

  • Alkaline treatment gives Sea-Island type yam to produce microfiber and silk-like touch. But this treatment have some problems in dyeing and finishing process. To solve some problem occurred in dyeing and finishing of polyester fabric, the ultrasonic treatment technique was used recently. This study was carried out to confirm the effect of the ultrasonic treatment on alkaline weight loss finishing of polyester fiber under general alkaline treatment conditions; NaOH concentration 2, 3, 4, and 5%, treatment time 5, 10, 15, and 20 minutes, treatment temperature 70, 80, 90, and 99'E, respectively. On the other hand, the three way lay out method was used to test of significant obtained data from alkaline treatment. It was found that weight loss increased with increasing the NaOH concentration, temperature, and time. Also, in case of PET/Co-PET fabrics by ultrasonic, weight loss and dissolution of microfiber were superior to PET/Co-PET fabrics without ultrasonic. Tensile strength and modulus decreased with increasing NaOH concentrations and hydrolysis time. Therefore, the effect of alkali hydrolysis by ultrasonic application was better than that of the conventional method.

  • One Source Multi-Use(원 소스 멀티 유스)'란 하나의 소재를 서로 다른 장르에 적용해 파급효과를 노리는 마케팅 전략을 말한다. 이 같은 '원 소스 멀티 유스'의 대표적인 소재가 바로 만화다. 그러나 근래에 들어서는 만화를 비롯하여 소설, 게임, 애니메이션, 영화 등을 원천소스로 하여 다양한 장르로 변형되고 있다. 그중 대표적인 것이 '공포의 외인구단'과 '바람의 나라'를 들 수 있다. '공포의 외인구단'은 이현세의 원작이고(1982-1983)이고 '바람의 나라'는 김진의 만화가 원전이다(1992-2008현재). '공포의 외인구단은 곧바로 영화화 됐으며 20년 후인 2009년에 드라마로 만들어 졌다. '바람의 나라는' 1997년 국내 최초의 온라인게임으로 만들어져 현재까지 많은 사랑을 받으며 서비스되는 게임이며 또한 2006년과 2007년에는 뮤지컬로도 만들어졌고 최근에는 TV드라마로 만들어져 많은 인기를 얻고 있다. 또 다른 예로는 '툼레이더'를 들 수 있는데 이는 게임이 원작이고 게임의 인기를 업고 영화로 만들어졌으며 세계적인 흥행성공에 힘입어 속편까지 제작된 상태이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 '원 소스 멀티 유스'의 대표적인 성공사례인 '바람의 나라'와 '툼 레이더'의 여러 요소 중 시각적인 요소인 캐릭터와 영상이미지의 분석을 통해 흥행요인을 도출하고자 한다.

Mechanical Properties of Woven Fabrics Made from Thick & Thin Yarn (태세사(Thick & Thin Yarn)로 제작된 직물의 역학적 특성)

  • The aim of this work is to develop sense-differentiated textiles using Thick-Thin polyester yarn(T-T yarn) with finer than 1 denier mono filament. The ITY(Interlace Textured Yarn) using T-T yarn with various over feed ratios of PET filament was manufactured with different shrinking percentage of core yarn and then the fabrics were woven on the same weaving 100m using ITY produced. The mechanical properties and the handles of the fabrics were examined with KES-FB system suggested by Kawabata. The shrinkage of ITY was increased with decreasing over feed ratio and increased with increasing heat treatment temperature of T-T yarn. The initial elasticity modulus of ITY was decreased with increasing over feed ratio and heat treatment temperature of T-T yarn. The tensile energy of fabrics was decreased with increasing of over feed ratio, but bending rigidity and shear rigidity of fabrics were increased with increasing of over feed ratio of PET filament. The results indicate that the fabric using T-T yarn with finer than I denier mono filament can be used for the purpose of sense-differentiated textile.

Note on Newly Isolated Yeasts from Wild Flowers in Daejeon City, Korea (대전지역 야생화에서 분리한 미기록 효모 균주들의 보고)

  • We report morphological and physiological characteristics of newly isolated six kinds of yeasts which are new in Korean mycoflora. The yeasts were isolated from wild flowers in Daejeon city, Korea and identified by molecular analysis of the amplified internal transcribed space rDNA sequence or partial 18S rDNA sequence. Species of isolates were identified as Kuraishia capsulate, Lodderomyces elongisporus, Pseudozyma antarctica, Starmerella bombicola.

  • 한국서남해안에 위치한 해남만의 조수 퇴적층(체)에 관한 층서 설정이 제4기후기 (late Quaternary)의 시간범위로 가능하였다. 즉 현재의 해남만에 분포하고 있는 조간대층은 지난 중기와 후기 현세(middle to late Holocene)동안에 형성된 퇴적지층단위(depositional sequence unit)이며 이 지층단위는 선현세(late Pleistocene)조간대 퇴적지층단위 disconformity 의 부정합 관계로 피복하고 있다 본연구에서는 전자를 Unit I(8-10m 내외의 두께)이라 칭하고 후자를 Unit II(10m 내외의 두께)라고 구분 명명하였다, 그런데 Unit II는 암상(lithofacies)의 특징에 근거하여 상부(upper part)와 하부(lower part)로 나누어진다. 상 부는 약 3-4m 의 두께를 가지고 있으며 황갈색을 분명히 나타내며 게 구멍 화석과 동토구 조(cryogenic structure)그리고 매우 높은 값의 전단응력을 나타낸다, 그러나 하부는 회색을 띄며 낮은 전단응력 값을 나타내 상부와 뚜렷이 구분된다 이러한 Unit II의 상부가 나타내 는 암상적 특징은 지난 간빙하기(Eemian interglacial time)에 형성된 오늘과 같은 조간대층 이 18,000년 전후의 최대 빙하기(last glacial maximum : LGM) 동안의 지배하에 노출되었 고 오랜동안 토양형성 과정이 풍화작용을 받은 증거를 나타내고 있다, 따라서 이지층의 층 서학적 단위 설정과 부정합 (disconformity) 적인 경계의미는 우리나라 제4기 층서(late Quaternary stratigraphy)를 규정하는데 매우 중요하다고 제안하는 바이다.
