기습이란 공격개념이 전쟁의 역사를 장식해 왔으며 현대전에서는 공중공격이 가장 효과적인 기습수단으로 사용되고 있다. 공중 공격에 대한 구체적 방어수단은 조기경보망과 각종 대공방어무기 체계이다. 레이다는 방공망과 방공무기의 '전천후 원거리 눈'의 역할을 기대하는 목적으로 출발하고 발달하여 왔다. 레이다 기술은 그시대의 최신 첨단기술을 가장 먼저 수용하고 또 자극하는 다양한 모습 으로 나타나 보인다. 레이다는 가장 막강한 정보수집수단으로 성장하여 군사용뿐만이 아니라 민수응용 으로 그 많은 역할을 해 왓으며 앞으로도 계속될 전망이다. 레이다의 발달에는 항공기 및 공중공격진술 의 발전과 밀접한 관계를 가지고 있다. 공간을 날아다니는 것은 무엇이든 레이다의 대상표적이고 위협 상황이기 때문이다. 이러한 관점에서 레이다 발달배경, 레이다의 과거와 현재, 그리고 앞으로의 발전방 향을 조명해 보기로 한다.

본 논문은 현대의 테크놀로지를 적극 수용하여 도시 공간 속 공공예술, 대중예술에서 좀 더 열린 체계의 예술작품에 가까이 다가가는 작업 형태를 지향하기 위한 기초 연구과정을 서술한다. 3차원의 입체적 오브젝트에 3차원 영상을 투사하는 프로젝션 매핑 기법을 활용한 작업을 시도하였으며, 그 작업을 소셜 네트워크와 연계하여 소셜 미디어를 활용한 인터랙티브 미디어파사드로 확장하고자 한다. 미디어아트의 작업 특성, 관람 체계 그리고 그 의미를 새로운 시각에서 바라보고자 한다.

근래 한국에서도 대표적 공공공간인 공원의 조성 및 관리와 관련하여 파트너십에 대한 관심이 일고 있다. 주민들이 만들어가는 공원, 다양한 힘의 역학구조 속에서 공공성 유지, 지속 가능한 사회 구현에 도움이 될 것이라는 전망 때문이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 추후 한국에서의 실천과 제도정비에 도움이 될 수 있도록, 영국에서는 어떻게 정책적으로 파트너쉽을 유도하는지 그리고 커뮤니티는 이를 어떻게 수용하여 자신들의 사례를 만들어 가는가를 살펴보았다. 사례연구에 있어서는 질적 연구방법을 택했으며, 분석보다는 사례가 갖는 내러티브(narratives)를 다층적으로 서술하는데 초점을 두었다. 이것은 거대 내러티브가 사라지고 있는 현대 사회에서 일반적 원칙보다는 개별 사례의 구체성을 밝히는 것이 보다 중요하다는 일부 사회학 연구자들의 견해를 수용한 것이다. 더욱이, 주민참여 관련 사례는 지역특성과 주민의 영향을 많이 받기 때문에 이러한 연구방법이 유용할 것이다. 더불어, 이러한 방식은 자못 추상적 이해에 그칠 외국 사례를 보다 구체적으로 이해하는데 적합할 것이다. 연구결과에 있어, 먼저 영국에서는 지방의제21(LA21)이 지방정부의 서비스에 대한 근본적 태도와 체계를 바꾸는데 기여했다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 일례로, 뉴캐슬(Newcastle upon Tyne)시는 직접 서비스를 제공하기 보다는 주민들의 참여를 촉진하고 도와주는 방향으로 역할을 전환하고 있었다. 그리고 다양한 자금지원체계는 직접적으로 파트너십을 독려하고 있었다. 영국 뉴캐슬(Newcastle upon Tyne) 웨이브리 파크(Waverley Park) 사례를 살펴본 바에 따르면, 파트너십에 대한 지방정부의 태도가 성공적 파트너십에 있어 중요한 요소임을 확인할 수 있었다. 이 사례에서는 프렌즈그룹 이외, 커뮤니티 외부의 비영리 단체가 참여하지 않았는데, 이는 지방정부가 적극적으로 주민들의 참여를 촉구하고 도왔기 때문이다. 이외, 커뮤니티의 구성원과 공무원들의 개인적 역할도 중요하다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 중앙정부는 단지 자금뿐만이 아니라 다양한 사례에서 축적한 정보를 커뮤니티에 지원하고 전 과정을 모니터링 하고 있었는데, 간접적 참여라고 할 수 있다. 앞에서 언급했듯이, 본 연구는 영국에서의 파트너십과 관련된 제도, 그리고 제도가 구체적 현실에서 작동되면서 나타나는 특수성을 살펴보는 데 주력했다. 그런데 사례 연구에서 발견한 특수성을 한국에서의 시사점으로 명시하는 것은 한계가 있을 수 있다. 그래서 시사점은, 제도적 차원에서 한국과 영국을 비교하여 간략하게 제시했다. 첫째, 지방의제 21의 수용 방식이다. 한국의 지방정부 또한 지방의제 21을 실천하기 위해 협의회 등을 설치하였지만 행정 시스템을 전반적으로 변화시키고 있는 영국과는 차이점이 있다. 둘째, 공원과 녹지에 대한 지원금이 제공될 때, 지역주민의 동의를 요구하는 것은 커뮤니티의 참여를 독려하고 주인의식을 갖도록 하는데 효과적이라는 것도 시사점이 될 수 있다. 한국에서도 녹색복권 등 세원 이외의 자금이 공원 및 녹지 공간에 투입되고 있으나 주민들이 직접 이를 이용하도록 되어 있지는 않다. 즉, 커뮤니티의 참여와 관련되어 쓰이고 있지는 않다. 세 번째는, 커뮤니티와 공원과의 관계로 공원 설계와 관리에 있어서 영국에서는 커뮤니티가 직접 고객(client)으로서 역할을 하고 있었다. 한국에서도 계획 및 설계 과정에 주민을 참여시키는 경우가 있으나 의견청취 정도에 머물고 있고, 몇몇 시민단체를 중심으로 시민들이 직접 공원 관리에 참여하는 경우도 있으나 운동(movement)차원에 머물고 있을 뿐 이를 위한 제도적, 법적 토대가 구축되어 있지는 않다.

'Hoon's family story' is worth analysing because it is appreciated one of excellent advertising campaigns made success of gaining social sympathy and inducing interaction on media. And advertisements expressions have been regarded as the tort that we should analyze by semiotic methods. This paper provides possibilities of the advertisement analysis matrix for analysing significations of this campaign based on theories of Roland Barthes and Roman Jakobson for advertising planners and designers.

Modern society is an age of vagueness and confusion. In addition, vagueness, complexity and variety are seen throughout art including modern philosophy, literature, and environmental design. A phenomenon like this shows that modern society has integrated different components as an organic relationship frequently crossing the boundary of fields. This feature can be regarded as hybrid related with accepting contradictory components and binding them into one under relationship between part and whole. As new design concept, presented are attitude to accept the two instead of attitude to select one of the alternatives, abundance instead of dearness, and ambiguity instead of simplicity. This principle has a crucial influence on creative design providing opposing contradiction and several alternative plans as non-deterministic form not completed one and, above all, useful information in mutual dependence and mutual relationship. When it comes to hybrid, therefore, a strategy is needed to consider layer of several fields getting out of standardizing space into a single space. As an event of this situation and concept, space experience means behaving freely based on experience of users' body. It can be known that this experience brings about users' more dynamic experience in comparison with the experience of seeing environmental design from a viewpoint of visual ism on the existing simplicity. Such a practical experience is subjective, synesthetic, and non-observational one. Therefore, hybrid has brought active users to the stage, which is distinguished from synesthesia felt through body's experience, not through observational attitude and visual space which achieve former balance and harmony with non-determination. That's because hybrid creatures are turning to a product resulted from creative imagination instead of from reappearance which makes text visualized. Such experience performed by user's active participation collapses the boundary between special elite-centered art and daily life and it is the present progressive form showing creation process of future events and new esthetic experience.

As we enter an era of emotional and endlessly competitive society, there has been a lot of changes happening to the styles and images of men, traditionally associated with strength and power. Today, the media is giving information on today's trendy men's styles and images to meet the growing demand by consumers, and giving appropriate gains in the process to all - both information providers and consumers. Generally speaking, the cover of a magazine represents the concept and image of the magazine. The cover model is closely tied with the symbolic image of the magazine, the current times, and what the general public wants. Therefore, research on the cover models of a lifestyle magazine has significance in that the current style trends will be able to be understood directly. The present research investigated the sexual images of men's magazine cover models. In carrying out the research, the sexual images were classified into the following: homosexual, cross sexual, metro sexual, and uber sexual. The research findings showed that uber sexual is the dominant sexual image in men's magazines in Korea, followed by metro sexual. In conclusion, the findings suggest an expansion of the traditional image of men, happening with the changes in traditional sex roles.

This study analyzed how the literary works embodying nurses accommodate various discourses about nurses and reproduce them in literature. The subject of analysis is a Korean modern novel featuring a nurse, and 29 works were selected from 1927 to 2016. The analysis method is the content analysis of the novel among the qualitative research methods. The unit of analysis adopts a narrative or dialogue that deals with the image of a nurse in a novel as a unit of analysis, The image determining factors of previous studies were integrated and categorized into 4 types and considered. As a result of analyzing the image of a nurse in the novel, First, traditional image types include Lee Kwang-soo 『Love』, Kim Eui-jung 『Doctor Han』, Jo Jung-rae 『Han River』, Gong Ji-young's 「Field of Stars」, Baek Min-seok 「Poor Little Hans」 Second, social image types include Kang Kyung-ae 「Dark」, Kim Kyung-wook 「Heaven's Gate」, Choi Jeong-hee 「Cheonmaek」 Third, professional image types include Lee Cheong-jun 「Mr. Jo Man-deuk」, 「Discharge」, Choi In-hoon 『The Square』, Kim Yeon-soo 「The Night in the Tunnel Where I Listened to Jusaeng Tudipini」, Jeong Se-lang 『Public health teacher Ahn Eun-young』and Fourth, personal image types include Choi In-ho 「Apprentice Patient」, Kim Jeong-han 「The Third Ward」, Eun Hee-kyung 『Minor League』, Hoon Kim 「Hwajang」, Ha Seong-ran 「The Joy of Eating」, Kim Ji-yeon 「Hippocrates Love Song」, Park Kyung-ri 「Era of Distrust」, Jeong Mi-kyung 「The Lady of Arsenal」 typed as. Through the image of the nurse in the novel, the implications of the novel for human care were discussed.

Globalization and multi-culturalizm have put light on the importance of cultural identity. To find or establish cultural identity designers have made their effort in their practice. Understanding possible expressional method for cultural identity in this context koreanity, can be a basis to promote such activities. The propose of this study is to investigate expressional method of koreanity in interior design cases appeared which were introduced in major domestic periodical publications since 1995. 43 cases were analyzed by using the analysis frame of 4 expressional method , such as an indicative imitation method, a partial invoked method, a partial transformation method and a conceptual reception method. As result 47％ of total cases were used the partial transformation method. 16％ by the indicative imitation method, 7％ by the partial invoked method and 30％ by the conceptual reception method. This result indicated designers have had more active attitude in expressing koreanity with interpretation of traditional concept in a contemporary way, rather than simply introducing and immitating traditional object. Design examples were organized and explained according to expressional method types.

Cancer is now the leading fatal disease in every developed country. Due to very low efficiency of conventional cancer therapeutics and important aspect of quality of life (QOL), complementary/alternative medicine (CAM) has been accepted worldwide, especially by late-staged cancer patients. Oriental medicine traditionally has stressed not only the tumor itself but the body having cancer, improving cancer-related immunity and extending survival period. Herein, we report one case of a terminal staged rectal cancer patient having spread-metastasis but showing a meaningful clinical course of around four years with Oriental medicine therapies. This study aimed to report the clinical capacity of Oriental medicine for patients with cancerous disease, to help development of Oriental medicine-derived anticancer treatments.

Although the study of citation patterns is an important theme within the sociology of science, due to the fact that it is intimately related to the production, reproduction, and evaluation of knowledge, only sustained theoretical research outlining the differences of citation patterns between the hard and soft sciences has been conducted, and empirical studies nevertheless remain few and far between. The perspectives of institutionalism and constructivism have to attempted to explain different citation patterns between the hard and soft sciences as a contrast between 'what one says' and 'who one is'. Therefore, against this background this study examines the 'theoretical' controversy empirically by comparing the contrasting citation patterns of physics, as a representative of hard science, and sociology, as a representative of soft science. The results, in brief, are as follows: the citaton patterns in physics, as in sociology, vary according to the author's status within the hierarchical employment structure, i. e. whether s/he is a full-time lecturer or not, but diversity of citation patterns according to Ph. D. diploma area is unique to sociology. These results would suggest that the explanation of constructivism is more relevant in explaining variance according to the author's status in the employment hierarchy, but the approach of institutionalism is more appropriate to understanding variance due to Ph. D. diploma area. Furthermore, this implies the complex diversity of the citation patterns between the hard and soft sciences, pointing us to the more qualified conclusion that rather than having to choose between institutionalism and constructivism according to a mutually exclusive either/or logic, these two approaches can in fact be mutually complementary, and these approaches should also be applied piecemeal to different levels of phenomena. In conclusion, this comparative research enables us to assert the following two claims: firstly that physics, as a 'science in society', produces knowledge dependent on social context, and secondly that it also possesses a characteristic that transcends locality from the view of a sociology of knowledge.
