Development of the technique for prediction of the hub-hole crack with the punching effect (펀칭 효과를 고려한 허브홀의 파단 예측기법 개발)

  • The hub hole is usually formed with a flanging process followed by a blanking process of a ]tole. Since the hole is made by blanking, the blanked surface is so rough that the formability in the region is rather poor. The emerging task is to identify the formability of the blanked region in the forming simulation and to relate the criterion to the real forming process by experiments. In this paper, hole expansion tests are carried out with respect to various hole conditions to verify the hole condition effect on the hole expansion ratio. The hole of specimens is made by machining or punching. In the case of punching, two different punching clearances are used for making the hole. From the results of test, fracture mechanism of the hole expansion is explained.

  • An inverse finite element approach is employed for more capability to design the optimum blank shape from the desired final shape with small amount of computation time and effort. For multi-stage deep-drawing processes with large aspect ratio, numerical analysis is extremely difficult to carry out due to its complexities and convergence problem. as well as tremendous computation time. In this paper, multi-stage finite element inverse analysis is applied to multi-stage rectangular cup drawing processes to calculate intermediate blank shapes and strain distributions in each stages. Deformation history of the previous stage is considered in the computation. Finite element patches are used to describe arbitrary intermediate sliding constraint surfaces.

  • Tube Process(TP) is one of the processes to produce permanent magnets. Advantage claimed for this process is that it can accmplish both densification and anisotropication in one step forming. This process is distinguished from other processes since it uses deformable tube for densification of powder magnets. TP has, however, difficulties in manufacturing permanent magnets from Nd-Fe-B green powder due to folding resulted from large height reduction and localized densification. Therefore, an adequate preform is necessary to reduce folding resulted from large height reduction and localized densification. Therefore, an adequate preform is necessary to reduce folding, lead magnets into almost desired final shape and get uniform densification. In this paper, preform design for TP is carried out without a deformable tube to investigate the behaviour of magnet sinter-forging. Preform design is accomplished to increase the effective magnet area with a near net shape and uniform densification.

  • A finite element inverse method is introduced for direct prediction of blank shapes, strain distributions, and reliable intermediate shapes from desired final shapes in axisymmetric multi-step deep drawing processes. This mothod enables the determination of process disign. The approach deals with the Hencky's deformation theory. Hill's second order yield criterion, simplified boundary conditions, and minimization of plastic work with constraints. The algorithm developed is applied to motor case forming, and cylindrical cup drawing with the large limit drawing ratio so that it confirms its validity by demonstrating resonably accurate numerical results of each problem. Numerical examples reveal the reason of difficulties in motor case forming with corresponding limit diagrams.

  • The Jonhnson-Cook constitutive relation has been used in dynamic plasticities. The constants of the Jonhson-Cook relation of sheet metals for an autobody is not known yet. In this paper, the material properties of SPCEN, SPCC and SPRC in the high strain rate states have been acquired. A new tension split Hopkinson bar was used in high speed tensile tests of sheet metals. The experimental results acquired from the apparatus are used to determine the constants of Johnson-Cook constitutive relation of sheet metals. This results can be used to analysis of crashworthness.

  • Investigation is performed on the stability of general form of dynamic system whose damping and stiffness are varying in irregular manner along time, which is a preliminary result in the course of research on the characteristic and the control of the stochastic system. The governing equation of the 'parametric' system is derived via F-P-K approach in stochastic sense. The influence on the stability due to the magnitude of auto power spectral density and cross power spectral density of random variation of system parameters is studied and the region is surveyed.

  • Recently, dynamic system has been enlarged and is normally exposed to various types of disturbance. Thus designing controller for these dynamic systems under random disturbance is not practically easy. As a result, the exact analysis for the system which is exposed to various irregular disturbance is quite important. In order to perform analysis, conventional BMR(balance model reduction) method is adopted and applied to moment equation in stochastic domain. Reliable reduced order system model has been obtained.

  • Most of the study on system identification has been carried out using input/output relation in physical domain. However identification concept of stochastic system has not been reported up to now. Interest is focused to identify an unknown dynamic system under random external disturbances which is not possible to measure. A concept to identify the system parameters in stochastic domain is proposed and implemented in terms of simulation. Attempt has been made to identify the system parameters in inverse manner in stochastic domain based on system output only. Simulation is conducted to reveal quite noticeable performance of the proposed concept.

  • Two different commercial brand X-ray films are used for examining possible differences caused by different target distances when the patients are examined with highenergy X-rays. 6MV- and 15MV X-rays are tested at four different target distances. The films on which the radiation amounts are gradually increased using H$_2$O phantoms are developed by an automatic developing machine to be analysed in the image densities. Characteristic curves have similar shapes for different conditions but for the 130cm target distance. ${\gamma}$ values and average image densities per the illuminated radiation are used to analyse the differences.

  • 플라티늄포르피린 핵과 주위에 8, 16, 32 그리고 64 개의 벤질 단위를 갖는 새로운 덴드리머를 압력 감지형 페인트에 사용할 발광체로 합성하였다. 플라티늄포르피린 핵을 갖는 제 1 세대의 덴드리머는 Lindsey형 합성법을 이용하여 제조하였으며, 제 2 세대에서 제 4 세대까지의 플라티늄포르피린 핵을 갖는 덴드리머는 플라티늄 테트라키스(3,5-디히드록시페닐)포르피린을 적합한 덴드론 브로마이드와 Williamson 에테르 합성법에 따라 알킬화반응시켜 제조하였다. 이러한 에테르 연결의 생성 반응들은 $K_2$CO$_3$와 18-크라운-6를 사용하여 아세톤 용매에서 질소 기류 하에서 6$0^{\circ}C$에서 수행하였을 때 가장 좋은 결과를 주었다. 그리고 이렇게 합성한 덴드리머들을 $^1$H-NMR, $^{13}$C-NMR, Mass spectrum 이용하여 구조를 확인하고, 그리고 UV-VIS spectroscopy를 이용하여 분광학적인 특성을 조사하였다.
