A Validation Check of Simulation Model with the Model Transformation (모델변환에 의한 시뮬레이션 모델의 타당성 검사)

  • 시뮬레이션(simulation)은 실 시스템(real system)의 효과적이고 효율적인 운영을 도모하기 위하여 실 시스템의 동작을 이해하고 분석, 예측, 평가하는 과학적인 문제해결 접근방법이다. 시뮬레이션 수행단계는 실 시스템의 행위를 정확히 반영하도록 타당한 모델을 구축하는 모델링 단계와 모델에 의도하는 명령어들을 컴퓨터 프로그램으로 작성하는 구현단계로 나누어진다. 시뮬레이션 모델은 시간, 상태, 확률변수, 상호규칙 등의 여러 관점에 따라 다양하게 존재하는데, DEVS(Descrete EVent system Specification) 모델은 연속적인 시간상에서 이산적으로 발생하는 사건에 따라 시스템의 상태를 분석할 수 있고 모델링 및 시뮬레이션 방법론의 형식화를 위한 견고한 이론적 기반을 제공하고 있다. 또한, DEVS 모델은 모듈적, 계층적 특성을 제공하고 집합론에 근거한 수학적 형식구조를 제공하여 실 시스템에 대한 체계적인 분석과정을 수행하게 되어 보다 현실적인 모델링을 가능하게 한다. 그러나 타당하지 못한 DEVS 모델이 구축되면 시뮬레이션을 통한 분석결과의 신뢰성이 떨어져 아무런 효과가 없고 경제적인 손실만이 따른다. DEVS 모델에 대한 기존의 타당성 검사가 많은 시간과 노력이 요구되고, 반복적인 DEVS 모델링 과정으로 인한 전문적이고 경험적인 지식을 요구한다. 또한, 모델설계자에 의해 설정된 실험 프레임하에서 DEVS 모델의 구성요소에 속하는 상태전이함수, 시간진행함수 및 출력함수에 대하여 commutative 성질의 보전성 검사가 어렵다는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이와 같은 문제점을 해결하기 위하여, DEVS 모델에 대한 타당성 검사를 SPN(Stochastic Petri Net) 모델로 변환하여 SPN 모델을 이용하는 간단하고 효과적인 타당성 검사 방법을 제안한다. 먼저, DEVs 모델에 대한 개념과 기존의 DEVS 모델에 대한 타당성 검사 방법을 고찰하고 그 문제점에 대하여 자세히 설명한다. DEVS 모델의 타당성 검사에 이용하는 SPN 모델에 대한 개념과 DEVS 모델과 행위적으로 동등한 SNP 모델로 변환을 위한 관점을 제조명하다. 동일한 관점에서 두 모델의 상태표현이 같도록 DEVS 모델이 SPN 모델로 표현됨을 보이는 변환이론을 제시하고 변환이론을 바탕으로 모델 변환과정을 제시한다. 모델 변환이론과 변환고정을 기본으로 타당성 검사를 위한 새로운 동질함수(homogeneous function)를 정의하고 이와 함께 SPN 모델의 특성을 이용하여 DEVS 모델에 대한 타당성 검사 방법을 새롭게 제안한다.

A Meta-analysis on the Behavioral Intention for Information Technology in Korea (우리나라 정보기술의 행위의도에 관한 메타분석)

  • A Meta-analysis is a statistical literature synthesis method that provides the opportunity to view the research context by combining and analyzing the quantitative results of many empirical studies. We conducted a Meta-analysis research on the behavioral intention of information technology based on the theory of planned behavior. This study was targeted a total of 36 research papers that are setting up the causal relationship in the theory of planned behavior among the research papers published in domestic academic journals before 2013. The result of the Meta-analysis, showed that the effect size was 0.571 in the path from attitude toward behavior to behavioral intention, it showed that the effect size was 0.381 in the path from subjective norm to behavioral intention. And, it showed that the effect size was 0.481 in the path from perceived behavioral control to behavioral Intention. Also, it showed that the effect size was 0.421 in the path from behavioral Intention to behavior.

Is Mr. AI more responsible? The effect of anthropomorphism in the moral judgement toward AI's decision making (AI의 의사결정에 대한 도덕판단에서 의인화가 미치는 영향 - 쌍 도덕 이론을 중심으로 -)

  • As artificial intelligence (AI) technology advances, the number of cases in which AI becomes an object or subject of moral judgment is increasing, and this trend is expected to accelerate. Although the area of AI in human society expands, relatively few studies have been conducted on how people perceive and respond to AI. Three studies examined the effect of the anthropomorphism of AI on its responsibility. We predicted that anthropomorphism would increase the responsibility perception, and perceived agency and perceived patiency for AI would mediate this effect. Although the manipulation was not effective, multiple analyses confirmed the indirect effect of perceived patiency. In contrast, the effect of perceived agency of AI was somewhat mixed, which makes the hypothesis partially supported by the overall result. This result shows that for the moral status of artificial agents, perceived patiency is relatively more critical than perceived agency. These results support the organic perspective on the moral status that argues the importance of patiency, and show that patiency is more important than agency in the anthropomorphism related study of AI and robots.

How to Understand the Digital Photography -A Cooperative Autoethnographic Study (디지털 사진행위를 어떻게 이해할 것인가? -협업적 자기민속지학 연구를 바탕으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the social and cultural implication of the activities of taking 'selfies' and the use of Social Network Service(SNS)s through the personal story of a 20s female researcher. She analyzes her own digital photography activities based on the experience of the use of Cyworld photo albums for three years and the use of pictures in iPhone album for fifteen months. The other researcher(40s male) cooperates to answer the questions about how to understand the digital photography activities. We understand the digital photography activities including digital cameras, social network services and smart phones as acts of personal identity configuration and acts of making the personal documentary. As a result, digital photos are used more for archive purpose rather than for document purpose. Also, we found that the digital photography activities can be understood as the interactions between human and non-human actors in the perspective of Actor-Network Theory (ANT).

Definition and Application of a Layered Avatar Behavior Script Language for Reusability and Simplicity (재사용성 및 용이성을 위한 계층적 아바타 행위 스크립트 언어의 정의)

  • An avatar script language consists of commands set which is used to control avatar behaviors in cyberspace. The script language should be abstract from complex low-level concepts, so that a user can write down a scenario script easily without concerning about physical motion parameters. Also, the script should be defined in a standard format and structure to allow reusing in various implementation tools. In this paper, a layered script language is proposed for avatar behavior representation and control, which consists of task-level behavior, high-level motion and primitive motion script language. The script language of each layer represents behavior elements for a scenario scripting interface, an avatar motion sequence, and geometric information of implementation environment, respectively. Therefore, a user can create a scenario script by abstract behavior interface and a script can be applied to various implementations by the proposed translating process. A presentation domain is chosen for applying the proposed script language and the implementation result shows that the script is flexibly applied in several applications.

A Study on the Antecedents of a Retailer's Ex-post Supply Price Cut (유통업체의 사후 납품가 인하 행위의 선행요인에 관한 연구: 대형마트를 중심으로)

  • This paper intends to examine the antecedents to the ex-post supply price cut which is typical retailer's unfair trade practices from three perspectives such as market power, efficiency, and retailer's tendency. For the empirical research, we analyzed manufacturer's 79 key account managers who have traded with domestic discount stores. As a result, the harder a retailer tries to increase sales and margin simultaneously, the more the retailer tends to use the ex-post supply price cut against manufacturers. In addition, the most frequent pattern of ex-post supply price cut occurs after retailer's discount at discretion. Finally, we suggest this research's implications, limitations of this research with future research directions.

Effects of Five-star Hotel Frontline Employees' Emotional Labor on Physical/Mental Stress and Extra-role Behavior (호텔 직원의 감정노동이 육체적·정신적 스트레스와 역할 외 행동에 미치는 영향: 특1급 호텔 일선 직원을 대상으로)

  • The main purpose of this study was to examine the relationship among hoteliers' emotional labor like surface acting (SA) and deep acting (DA), job stress such as physical stress (PS) and mental stress (MS), and extra-role behavior (EB). Using data from 264 surveys collected from five-star hotels' employees, the author empirically tested the research model. Main results on applying structural equation analysis are as follows. (1) SA had positive impacts on both PS and JS while DA was negatively significant on only MS. (2) ER was influenced by DA while there was no significance on SA. (3) MS was negatively related to ER, and PS was also significantly effective; however, the estimate of PS indicated a positive correlation unlike theoretical prediction. In conclusion, a discussion about the interesting phenomenon was held based on self-rewarding acts.

  • This study was conducted to find out whether information based on norm activation theory affects personal norm and rule-violating behavior in a recreation setting, using the data collected from the Second Campground in Chiri-Mountain National Park in 1994. Of the total 280 questionnaires distributed, 253(90.4%) were usable for data analysis. Results showed that information did not increase awareness of consequences(AC) of their actions or ascription of responsibility(AR) for acts and consequences to themselves, and did not directly decrease the quiet time rule-violating behavior. However, it was found that respondents with high ACR(combination of AC and AR) or personal norms less violated the rule. Management implications of these findings were discussed.

The Actions Used by Children's and Their Underlying Theories whilst Engaged in Balance Tasks (무게중심 찾기 과제 수행과정에서 나타난 아동의 행위와 이론)

  • This study attempted to analyze in detail the actions used by children and to uncover the theories used by those children whilst engaged in solving balance tasks. Sixty children, aged between 3 to 6 from "H" child care center located in Seoul were selected as the subjects. The children were asked to balance 8 different blocks by putting them on a bar one by one. Two of the 8 blocks were balanced by the center of the length of the block, two were unbalanced by the center of the length because another block is glued on the side of the bottom block, three blocks were unbalanced due to the insertion of a piece of metal in the side of the blocks, and one was completely unbalanced because it consisted of three layers of blocks glued obliquely. Fifteen actions undertaken by the children in solving the tasks were analyzed and divided into 6 categories : place, turning, push, press, support, and others. Children used three theories which were 'no theories', 'length centered theory' and 'considered both length and weight theory' whilst engaged in balance tasks.

What Motivates Users to Upgrade the Operating Systems? (운영체제 업그레이드 의도에 관한 연구: 마이크로소프트 윈도우 사용자를 중심으로)

  • This study discusses the operating systems upgrade to motivation of windows users. To discuss this issues, research hypotheses were set based on Unified Theory of Acceptance Use of Technology(UTAUT) and Theory of Reasoned Action(TRA). The data were collected from undergraduate students. Total of 199 data were used for the analysis. The results of the analysis were summarized into two ways. first, performance expectancy and effort expectancy has a positive influence on attitude towards upgrade the operating systems. Second, social influence, facilitating conditions, and attitude had a positive influence on intention towards upgrade the operating systems. Thus, when users perceived a high degree of performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions towards upgrade the operating systems, they evaluated more positively the upgrade the operating systems.
