  • NAC(Network Access Control) has been developed as a solution for the security of end-point user, to be a target computer of worm attack which does not use security patch of OS and install Anti-Virus, which spreads the viruses in the Intra-net. Currently the NAC products in market have a sufficient technology of pre-connect, but insufficient one of post-connect which detects the threats after the connect through regular authentication. Therefore NAC users have been suffered from Zero-day attacks and malware infection. In this paper, to solve the problems in the post-connect step we generate the normal behavior profiles using the traffic information of each host, host information through agent, information of open port and network configuration modification through network scanner addition to authentication of host and inspection of policy violation used before. Based on these we propose the system to detect the hosts infected malware.

  • Recently, there is much abnormal traffic driven by several worms, such as Nimda, Code Red, SQL Stammer, and so on, making badly severe damage to networks. Meanwhile, diverse prevention schemes for defeating abnormal traffic have been studied in the academic and commercial worlds. In this paper, we present the structure of a stepwise intrusion prevention system that is designed with the feature of putting limitation on the network bandwidth of each network traffic and dropping abnormal traffic, and then compare the proposed scheme with a pre-existing scheme, which is a True/False based an anomaly prevention scheme for several worm-patterns. There are two criteria for comparison of the schemes, which are Normal Traffic Rate (NTR) and False Positive Rate (FPR). Assuming that the abnormal traffic rate of a specific network is $\beta$ during a predefined time window, it is known that the average NTR of our stepwise intrusion prevention scheme increases by the factor of (1+$\beta$)/2 than that of True/False based anomaly prevention scheme and the average FPR of our scheme decrease by the factor of (1+$\beta$)/2.

  • Nowadays, intelligent Android malware applies anti-analysis techniques to hide malicious behaviors and make it difficult for anti-virus vendors to detect its presence. Malware can use background components to hide harmful operations, use activity-alias to get around with automation script, or wipe the logcat to avoid forensics. During our study, several static analysis tools can not extract these hidden components like main activity, and dynamic analysis tools also have problem with code coverage due to partial execution of android malware. In this paper, we design and implement a system to analyze intelligent malware that uses anti-analysis techniques to improve detection rate of evasive malware. It extracts the hidden components of malware, runs background components like service, and generates all the intent events defined in the app. We also implemented a real-time logging system that uses modified logcat to block deleting logs from malware. As a result, we improve detection rate from 70.9% to 89.6% comparing other container based dynamic analysis platform with proposed system.

  • This paper presents an efficient object selection algorithm by analyzing and detecting of human activity. Generally, when people point any something, they will put a face on the target direction. Therefore, the direction of the face and fingers and was ordered to be connected to a straight line. At first, in order to detect the moving objects from the input frames, we extract the interesting objects in real time using background subtraction. And the judgment of movement is determined by Principal Component Analysis and a designated time period. When user is motionless, we estimate the user's indication by estimation in relation to vector from the head to the hand. Through experiments using the multiple views, we confirm that the proposed algorithm can estimate the movement and indication of user more efficiently.

  • QR Code has been used in various forms such as simple business cards and URLs. Recently, the influence of Corona 19 Fundemik has led to the use of QR Codes to track travel routes through visits and entry / exit records, and QR Code usage has skyrocketed. In this way, most people have come to use it in the masses and are constantly under threat. In the case of QR Code, you do not know what you are doing until you execute it. Therefore, if you undoubtedly execute a QR Code with a malicious URL inserted, you will be directly exposed to security threats. Therefore, this paper provides a cloud-based malware QR Code detection system that can make a normal connection only when there is no abnormality after determining whether it is a malicious QR Code when scanning the QR Code.

  • The social consciousness on fake reviews has triggered researchers to suggest ways to cope with them by analyzing contents of fake reviews or finding ways to discover them by means of structural characteristics of them. This research tried to collect data from blog posts in Naver and detect habitual patterns users use unconsciously by variables extracted from blogs and blog posts by a machine learning model and wanted to use the technique in predicting fake reviews. Data analysis showed that there was a very high relationship between the number of all the posts registered in the blog of the writer of the related writing and the date when it was registered. And, it was found that, as model to detect advertising reviews, Random Forest is the most suitable. If a review is predicted to be an advertising one by the model suggested in this research, it is very likely that it is fake review, and that it violates the guidelines on investigation into markings and advertising regarding recommendation and guarantee in the Law of Marking and Advertising. The fact that, instead of using analysis of morphemes in contents of writings, this research adopts behavior analysis of the writer, and, based on such an approach, collects characteristic data of blogs and blog posts not by manual works, but by automated system, and discerns whether a certain writing is advertising or not is expected to have positive effects on improving efficiency and effectiveness in detecting fake reviews.

  • After the financial crisis in 2008, the financial market still seems to be unstable with expanding the insolvency of the financial companies' real estate project financing loan in the aftermath of the lasted real estate recession. Especially after the illegal actions of people's financial institutions disclosed, while increased the anxiety of economic subjects about financial markets and weighted in the confusion of financial markets, the potential risk for the overall national economy is increasing. Thus as economic recession prolongs, the people's financial institutions having a weak profit structure and financing ability commit illegal acts in a variety of ways in order to conceal insolvent assets. Especially it is hard to find the loans of shareholder and the same borrower sharing credit risk in advance because most of them usually use a third-party's name bank account. Therefore, in order to effectively detect the fraud under other's name, it is necessary to analyze by clustering the borrowers high-related to a particular borrower through an analysis of association between the whole borrowers. In this paper, we introduce Analysis Techniques for detecting financial loan frauds in advance through an analysis of association between the whole borrowers by extending SNA(social network analysis) which is being studied by focused on sociology recently to the forensic accounting field of the financial frauds. Also this technique introduced in this pager will be very useful to regulatory authorities or law enforcement agencies at the field inspection or investigation.

  • This paper deals with complexity theory to describe amphibious warfare situation using EINSTein (Enhanced ISAAC Neural Simulation Tool) simulation model. EINSTein model is an agent-based artificial "laboratory" for exploring self-organized emergent behavior in land combat. Many studies have shown that existing Lanchester equations used in most war simulation models does not describe changes of combat. Future warfare will be information warfare with various weapon system and complex combat units. We have compared and tested combat results with Lanchester models and EINSTein model. Furthermore, the EINSTein model has been applied and analyzed to amphibious warfare model such as amphibious assault and amphibious sudden attack. The results show that the EINSTein model has a possibility to apply and analyze amphibious warfare more properly than Lanchester models.
