Computer security is considered important due to tile side effect generated from the expansion of computer network and rapid increase of the use of computers. Intrusion Detection System(IDS) has been an active research area to reduce the risk from intruders. This paper discusses IDS of detecting anomaly behaviors and proposes a new intelligent IDS model, which consists of several computers with intelligent IDS, based on computer immune system. The intelligent IDSs are distributed and if any of distributed IDSs detect anomaly system call among system call sequences generated by a privilege process, the anomaly system call can be dynamically shared with other IDSs. This makes the intelligent IDSs improve the ability of immunity for new intruders.

In the recent years, malicious codes called malware are having shown significant increase due to the code obfuscation to evade detection mechanisms. When the code obfuscation technique is applied to malwares, they can change their instruction sequence and also even their signature. These malwares which have same functionality and different appearance are able to evade signature-based AV products. Thus, AV venders paid large amount of cost to analyze and classify malware for generating the new signature. In this paper, we propose a novel approach for detecting metamorphic malwares. The proposed mechanism first converts malware's API call sequences to call graph through dynamic analysis. After that, the callgraph is converted to semantic signature using 128 abstract nodes. Finally, we extract all subgraphs and analyze how similar two malware's behaviors are through subgraph similarity. To validate proposed mechanism, we use 273 real-world malwares include obfuscated malware and analyze 10,100 comparison results. In the evaluation, all metamorphic malwares are classified correctly, and similar module behaviors among different malwares are also discovered.

Blacklist-based tools are most commonly used to effectively detect suspected malicious processes. The blacklist-based tool compares the malicious code extracted from the existing malicious code with the malicious code. Therefore, it is most effective to detect known malicious codes, but there is a limit to detecting malicious code variants. In order to solve this problem, the necessity of a white list-based tool, which is the opposite of black list, has emerged. Whitelist-based tools do not extract features of malicious code processes, but rather collect reliable processes and verify that the process that checks them is a trusted process. In other words, if malicious code is created using a new vulnerability or if variant malicious code appears, it is not in the list of trusted processes, so it can effectively detect malicious code. In this paper, we propose a method for effectively building a whitelist through research that collects reliable processes in the macOS operating system.

Recently $Pok\acute{e}mon$ GO implements an online game with location-based real time augmented reality on mobile. The correct play of this game should be based on collecting the $Pok\acute{e}mon$ that appears as the user moves around by foot, but as the popularity increases, it appears an abuse to play easily. Many people have used an application that provides a mock location service such as Fake GPS, and these applications can be judged to be cheating in online games because they can play games in the house without moving. Detection of such cheating from a client point of view (mobile device) can consume a large amount of resources, which can reduce the speed of the game. It is difficult for developers to apply detection methods that negatively affect game usage and user's satisfaction. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a method to detect users abusing mock location service in online game by route analysis using GPS location record from the server point of view.

Among the various security threats in online games, the use of game bots is the most serious problem. In this paper, we propose a framework for user behavior analysis for bot detection in online games. Specifically, we focus on party play that reflects the social activities of gamers: In a Massively Multi-user Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG), party play log includes a distinguished information that can classify game users under normal-user and abnormal-user. That is because the bot users' main activities target on the acquisition of cyber assets. Through a statistical analysis of user behaviors in game activity logs, we establish the threshold levels of the activities that allow us to identify game bots. Also, we build a knowledge base of detection rules based on this statistical analysis. We apply these rule reasoner to the sixth most popular online game in the world. As a result, we can detect game bot users with a high accuracy rate of 95.92%.

In order to recognize intelligent threats quickly and detect and respond to them actively, major public bodies and private institutions operate and administer an Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), which plays a very important role in finding and detecting attacks. However, most IDS alerts have a problem that they generate false positives. In addition, in order to detect unknown malicious codes and recognize and respond to their threats in advance, APT response solutions or actions based systems are introduced and operated. These execute malicious codes directly using virtual technology and detect abnormal activities in virtual environments or unknown attacks with other methods. However, these, too, have weaknesses such as the avoidance of the virtual environments, the problem of performance about total inspection of traffic and errors in policy. Accordingly, for the effective detection of intrusion, it is very important to enhance security monitoring, consequentially. This study discusses a plan for the reduction of false positives as a plan for the enhancement of security monitoring. As a result of an experiment based on the empirical data of G, rules were drawn in three types and 11 kinds. As a result of a test following these rules, it was verified that the overall detection rate decreased by 30% to 50%, and the performance was improved by over 30%.
This paper describes intrusion detection rule management using mobile agents. Intrusion detection can be divided into anomaly detection and misuse detection. Misuse detection is best suited for reliably detecting known use patterns. Misuse detection systems can detect many or all known attack patterns, but they are of little use for as yet unknown attack methods. Therefore, the introduction of mobile agents to provide computational security by constantly moving around the Internet and propagating rules is presented as a solution to misuse detection. This work presents a new approach for detecting intrusions, in which mobile agent mechanisms are used for security rules propagation. To evaluate the proposed approach, we compared the workload data between a rules propagation method using a mobile agent and a conventional method. Also, we simulated a rules management using NS-2 (Network Simulator) with respect to time.

In MANET(Mobile Ad-Hoc Network), providing security to routing has been a significant issue recently. Existing studies, however, focused on either of secure routing or packet itself where malicious operations occur. In this paper, we propose SRPPnT(A Secure Routing Protocol in MANET based on Malicious Pattern of Node and Trust Level) that consider both malicious behavior on packet and secure routing. SRPPnT is identify the node where malicious activities occur for a specific time to compose trust levels for each node, and then to set up a routing path according to the trust level obtained. Therefore, SRPPnT is able to make efficient countermeasures against malicious operations. SRPPnT is based on AODV(Ad-Hoc On-Demand Distance Vector Routing). The proposed SRPPnT, from results of the NS-2 network simulation. shows a more prompt and accurate finding of malicious nodes than previous protocols did, under the condition of decreased load of networks and route more securely.
A safe Linux system for security enhancement should have an audit ability that prohibits an illegal access and alternation of data as well as trace ability of illegal activities. In addition, construction of the log management and monitoring system is a necessity to clearly categorize the responsibility of the system manager or administrator and the users' activities. In this paper, the Linux system's Security Log is analyzed to utilize it on prohibition and detection of an illegal protrusion converting the analyzed security log into a database. The proposed analysis allows a safe management of the security log. This system will contribute to the enhancement of the system reliability by allowing quick response to the system malfunctions.

With the development of IT technology, cybercrime is becoming sophisticated and intelligent. In particular, in the case of BackDoor, which is used in the APT attack (intelligent continuous attack), it is very important to detect malicious behavior and respond to infringement because it is often unaware that it has been damaged by an attacker. This paper aims to build an EDR platform that can monitor, analyze, and respond to malicious behavior in real time by collecting, storing, analyzing, and visualizing logs in an endpoint environment in real time using open source-based analysis solutions ELK Stack and Sysmon.
