  • The purposes of this study were to concretely reveal the effect of the parents' child-rearing attitude perceived by adolescents and the school life adaptation on the problem behavior, and to verify the moderating effect of the ego-resilience on the relationship between the parents' child-rearing attitude and the school life adaptation and the adolescent problem behavior. This study analyzed a total of 2,107 students in the first year of high school, which was the 4th year data(2013) of Korea Children Youth Panel Survey(KCYPS) 2010. The reliability, descriptive statistics, t-test, and hierarchical regression analysis were conducted using SPSS WIN 22.0. The results were as follows. First, the effect of the parents' child-rearing attitude(supervision, affection, reasonable explanation, excessive interference, excessive expectation, and inconsistency), school life adaptation(relationship with teacher, relationship with friend, school regulation, and learning activity), and ego-resilience on the adolescent problem behavior was analyzed. As a result, the relationship with friend(-) had the highest influence on the adolescent problem behavior, followed by learning activity(-), inconsistency(+), ego-resilience(-), excessive interference(+), and supervision(-). However, the remaining sub-variables did not have any significant influence on the adolescent problem behavior. Second, the moderating effect of the ego-resilience on the relationship among the parents' child-rearing attitude, adaptation to school life, and adolescent problem behavior. The ego-resilience was found to moderate the effects of parents' positive child-rearing attitude, interpersonal relationships, and school adaptation on the adolescent problem behavior. However, the moderating effect was not significant for the effect of negative child-rearing attitude on the adolescent problem behavior. Therefore, various ego-resilience enhancement programs need to be developed and researched as a part of the safety education through the home economics class.

  • Nudge, which is recently in the spotlight again, refers to inducing a person's behavior change naturally rather than forcibly in behavioral economics. It is used not only in behavioral economics, but also in various fields such as design and communication, and is continuously expanding. Furthermore, it is used for entrepreneurship education as well as solving social problems in the public sector that are easily encountered in the surroundings. Given this aspect, it would be very meaningful to understand and analyze Nudge from the perspective of problem solving. Therefore, this study analyzed the usefulness and utility of Nudge from the perspective of problem solving. The usefulness of Nudge was confirmed through TRIZ technique, which is a representative technique for problem solving, and conversely, the utility of Nudge in TRIZ technique was also analyzed. The results of this study are expected to provide useful theoretical and practical implications for researchers and managers interested in knowledge management for problem solving.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine whether adolescents' parental rule obedience moderates the relationship between maternalmonitoring and problem behavior (drinking and vandalism). Participants were 398 adolescents attending a middle school (6th through 8th grades) in a semi-rural mid-Atlantic community in the USA. Data were collected by questionnaires including items regarding relationships with parents, problem behavior, and peer relationships. Hierarchical multiple regression was usedto analyze the data. Results indicate that maternal monitoring is negatively related with adolescent drinking and vandalism. However, the negative relationship varies as a function of adolescents' parental rule obedience. The relationship was stronger among adolescents with lower level of parental rule obedience than among adolescents with higher level of parental rule obedience. Findings from this study suggest that research on maternal monitoring during adolescence needs to take adolescents' personal characteristics into account to better understand the process. They also suggest that parents could lower the possibility that their children's will be involved in drinking and vandalism by maintaining quality relationships with their children because children are more likely to internalize their parents' rules and standards when they have positive relationships with parents.

There were significant relationships among dwelling areas, gambling behaviors, and beliefs. Especially, adolescents in Jeongseon have more likely gambling behaviors, and the gambling beliefs were more dysfunction than ones in Gwhachoen and Whachoen. And adolescents in Whachoen had the lowest gambling motivation. Also, the correlation between the impulsivity and gambling-related behaviors was significant. The implication of this study was as fellow. When planing the politic intervention for preventing the problem gambling in the future it was necessary to consider the distance from the gambling facilities as environmental component and impulsivity as personal component.

  • This study was conducted in order to explain the effect of driving behavior determinants such as drivers' personality and attitude that may induce risky driving behavior and to develop a valid method for discriminating risky drivers using the determinants. In the results of surveying 534 adult drivers, 5 driving behavior determinants (avoidance of problems, benefit/stimulus seeking, interpersonal anxiety, interpersonal anger, and aggression) were found to have a statistically significant effect on drivers' various risky driving behaviors. Using these factors, drivers were grouped according to risk levels (normal drivers, unintentionally risky drivers, and intentionally risky drivers). This result suggests that drivers' dangerous behavior level can be predicted using psychological factors such as their personality and attitude. Accordingly, if the driving behavior determinant model and the base score system used in this study are improved through further research, they are expected to be useful in predicting drivers' recklessness in advance, identifying problems, and providing differentiated safe driving education services based on the results.

  • This study tried to confirm the effective intervention to reduce drinking frequency and problem behaviors among the three interventions; school based, feedback, and behavior change. Meta-analysis was conducted targeting at 16 studies of randomized controlled trial in which alcohol intervention has been applied to adolescent. The drinking frequency and problem behaviors were analyzed by follow up period. There was a significant difference in the feedback intervention to reduce the frequency of drinking under 3 months of follow up period. Also, there was a significant difference in the feedback intervention to reduce the problematic behaviors of drinking between 4 and 12 months of follow up period(p<.05). The study confirmed that feedback intervention is effective in reducing the frequency of drinking during the follow up period under 3 months, and it is effective in reducing the problem behaviors of drinking during the 4~12 months of follow up period. Also, the study confirmed that school-based intervention and feedback intervention were useful in reducing and preventing harmful effects of drinking by adolescents.
