The Interest of Activity and Learning Contents in SW Education Using Robot: Focused on Hamster Robot (로봇 활용 SW 교육에서 활동 및 학습 내용에 따른 학습자 흥미: 햄스터 로봇을 중심으로)

  • In this paper, we investigated the learners' interest of activity and learning contents in elementary school SW education using robot. In order to achieve the purpose of this paper, SW education using Entry and Hamster robot was conducted to 15 students who was participated in educational program in Youth training center. In addition, we examined mean difference using descriptive statistics. Our results show that students were generally interested in activities related to hamster robots. Further, interest was associated with gender. Specifically, boys were more interested in activities related to axis acceleration sensor and light sensor and girls were more interested in activities related to sound and movement. This paper was investigated students' interest and identify differences depending on gender, and supposed the concrete data that can be used in the school field.

  • 텍스트 기반 언어 스몰베이직은 적은 수의 언어 특징을 가지고 있어 배우기 쉽고 이후에 C/C++/Java로 빠르게 전환할 수 있기 때문에 청소년 코딩 교육용 언어로 적합하다. 코딩 교육에 흥미를 높이기 위해 다양한 라이브러리가 필요한데 마이크로소프트에서 개발한 스몰베이직 환경에서는 로봇 프로그래밍을 위한 라이브러리를 지원하지 않는다. 이 논문에서 오픈소스 소프트웨어 스몰베이직 환경하에 동작하는 햄스터 로봇 라이브러리를 설계 및 구현하였다. 교육용 언어 스크래치와 파이썬에서 유사한 로봇 프로그래밍 라이브러리를 지원하지만 스크래치는 그림 기반 언어이기 때문에 이후 C/C++/Java로 전환하기 어렵고, 파이썬은 객체와 클래스 개념을 포함하고 잇어서 초보자가 배우기 어렵다. 이 논문에서 개발한 라이브러리를 활용하여 데모 프로그램을 작성함으로써 쉽게 스몰베이직 기반 로봇 프로그래밍을 할 수 있을을 확인하였다.

The Effects of SW Education Using Robot on Flow (로봇 활용 SW 교육이 초등학생의 몰입에 미치는 효과)

  • In this study, we examine the effects of SW education using robot on flow in elementary school. Our results show that SW education using robot significantly improved flow. Further, flow was not associated with gender. This study was investigated effects of the SW education using robot and identify differences depending on gender, and expanded the understanding of the SW education using robot.

  • 제4차 산업혁명시대에서 강조하는 SW교육은 컴퓨팅 관련 교과 뿐만 아니라 타 교과에서도 그 중요성이 대두되고 있으며, 따라서 정보과 교사가 아닌 비 정보과 교사들에게도 SW 교사 연수의 필요성이 높아지고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 선행 연구들의 고찰을 통하여 비 정보과 교사를 위한 햄스터로봇을 활용한 SW 교사 연수 프로그램을 개발하였다.

The Difference of Computational Thinking and Attitudes toward Robots according to Assistant Teacher in SW Education Using Robot (로봇 활용 SW 교육에서 보조 교사 유무에 따른 컴퓨팅사고력, 로봇에 대한 태도의 차이)

  • In this study, we conduct SW education using robot in elementary school, to examine the effects of SW education using robot and identify differences dependeing on the presence of assistance teacher. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, SW education using robot was conducted to 29 students. After collecting data, we examined mean difference using matched pair t-test and ANCOVA. Our results show that SW education using robot significantly improved CT and attitudes toward robots. CT, however, was not significantly improved in control group. Further, although improvement in attitudes toward robots was not associated with presence of assistance teacher, presence of assistance teacher did play a role in improvement of CT. This study was investigated effects of the SW education using robot and identify differences depending on the presence of assistant teacher, and expanded the understanding of the SW education using robot.

  • In this study, we conduct SW education using robot in elementary school, to examine the effects of SW education using robot on CT and gender differences. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, SW education using robot was conducted to 143 students in 5, 6 grade in GyeongGi. After collecting data, we examined mean difference using matched pair t-test and ANCOVA. The results of this study were as follows: The SW education using robot is associated with significant improvements in CT, however, computational concepts is not associated with significant improvement in high initial score sub sample. And CT is not associated with gender. This study was investigated effects of the SW education using robot and identify gender differences. And expanded the understanding of the SW education using robot.
