Content Analyses of Green life-Education in Korean and Japanese Secondary School Home Economics Curricula (한국과 일본의 중등 가정 교육과정에 명시된 녹색생활교육)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the elements of green life education reflected in the Korean and Japanese secondary school Home Economics curricula. Although sustainable living at home has been emphasized as one of the main issues of Home Economics since the first curriculum period, green growth education has more reinforced in recent revised Home Economics Curricula of both countries. Thus the 2007 revised secondary school Home Economics Curriculum of Korea and 2008 revised middle school and 2009 revised high school Home Economics Curriculum of Japan were analyzed. The content analyses were done to examine the elements of green life education reflected in 'Characteristics and Objectives', 'Contents', and 'Teaching learning/Contents dealing Strategies' parts of the curriculum through two checking steps. The elements of green life education were included in all parts of the Home Economics Curricula of both countries except the 'Characteristics and Objectives' part of Japanese Curriculum. In both the Korean and Japanese Curricula, the element of green life was the most frequently and concretely reflected in the 'Contents' part, contrary to the 'Characteristics and Objectives' part where the element was the most rarely and abstractly reflected. The practical aspects of the green life education were more emphasized than the theoretical ones in both countries' curricula. The green life educational elements need to be included in all parts of Home Economics curriculum with concrete manner to ensure these elements to be reflected in Home Economics textbooks and to be actively implemented in classroom.

Classification System Model Design for Algorithm Education for Elementary and Secondary Students (초중등학생 대상 알고리즘 교육을 위한 분류체계 모형 설계)

  • The purpose of this study is to propose algorithm classification system for algorithm education for Elementary and Secondary Students. We defines the components of the algorithm and expresses the algorithm classification system by the analysis synthesis method. The contents of the study are as follows. First, we conducted a theoretical search on the classification purpose and classification. Second, the contents and limitations of the classification system for the proposed algorithm contents were examined. In addition, we examined the contents and selection criteria of algorithms used in algorithm education research. Third, the algorithm components were redefined using the core idea and crosscutting concept proposed by the NRC. And the crosscutting concept of algorithm is subdivided into algorithm data structure and algorithm design strategy, and its contents are presented using analytic synthesis classification scheme. Finally, the validity of the proposed contents was verified by the review of the expert group. It is expected that the study on the algorithm classification system will provide many implications for the contents selection and training method in the algorithm education.

The Development of a Career-Anchor Based on Career Education Model for Elementary Schools (커리어 앵커 활용 초등학생 진로교육모형 구안)

  • The purpose of this study is to discern elementary students' career education model based on career anchor. For this purpose, we have researched literatures and case studies related to career anchor and developed a draft of the career education model. Afterwards, through expert formative evaluation of the draft, we have developed the final model. Specific model's processes include 'finding yourself' - 'selecting learning contents based on career anchor'- 'studying based on career'- 'over coming things lacking in your career' - 'assessment'. These steps include activity content and supporting elements for learners. This study is different from precedent career education related studies because through career anchor the learner can find his true self, teachers can able to teach flexibly while adjusting to diverse environment changes, also this program can be utilized within the class setting immediately, and it is developed to help learners and teachers to utilize the program with ease and systematically.

  • Breaking down the boundaries between recent study has emerged as a key issue of convergence education to create new knowledge. The core of IT Convergence Education is being made through educational SW, SW purpose of education has been focused on improving the CT(: Computational Thinking). The purpose of this paper is to design a CT teaching model for activating IT Convergence Education. In this study, we designed a CT Curriculum focusing on algorithm and program for the purpose of enhancing non-majors learner's CT ability and software adaptability and being utilized in the majors. It is expected to be utilized to design a CT teaching methods and curriculum in University.

  • 최근 국내외에서 소프트웨어 교육의 중요성이 강조되고 있다. 2015년 개정 교육과정에서도 초 중등생들의 컴퓨팅사고력 계발에 관심이 집중되면서 초 중등학생들을 대상으로 코딩교육이 진행되고 있다. 컴퓨팅사고력 증진을 위해 그 핵심요소인 추상화와 자동화 능력을 신장시킬 여러 방법들이 연구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 추상화 능력에 대해 교육심리 측면에서 학생들의 프로그래밍 능력 특성을 파악한 후, 컴퓨팅 사고력 계발에 도움을 주고자 한다. 이를 위해 일반계 고등학생들을 대상으로 파이썬 프로그래밍 교육을 보다 용이하게 진행하기 위하여 러플(RUR-PLE) 프로그래밍을 한 학기동안 학습한 후, 학생들의 추상적 사고수준이 프로그램을 이해하는데 어떻게 영향을 미치며 성별 간에 어떤 차이를 가지는지를 분석한다.

A Study on the Instructional Design of Software Education Based on Backward Design Model (백워드 설계 모형을 적용한 소프트웨어 교과의 교수설계에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is derived implications at software curriculum development utilizing the backward design model. In this study, we developed 'Algorithms and Programming' unit teaching plan based on backward design template. First, we have derived enduring understandings, essential questions, specific knowledge and skill on 'Algorithms and Programming' unit by considering the goal, content, achievement standard of Software education operating instructions. Second, we developed authentic tasks using GRASPS technic and holistic scoring rubrics. Third, we developed 7 lesson 14 WHERETO element for effective teaching in 'Algorithms and Programming' unit. Fourth, we investigated about the effectiveness of the development unit based on backward design. Backward design could be useful of developing curriculum unit and lesson plan at software education.

Development of Game Programming Education Model 4E for Pre-Service Teachers (예비교사를 위한 게임 프로그래밍 교육모델 4E 개발)

  • Programming education generally includes problem analysis process, automation through algorithms and programming, and generalization process. It is a good software education method for students in improving computing thinking. However, it was found that beginners had difficulties in understanding instruction usage, writing algorithms, and implementing programming. In this study, we developed a game programming education model and curriculum for programming education of pre-service teachers. The 4E model consisted of empathy, exploration, engagement and evaluation. In addition, it is configured to learn game core elements and core command blocks by each stage. To help the pre-service teachers understand the use of various programming blocks, a three-step teaching and learning method was presented, consisting of example learning, self-game creation, and team-based projects. As a result of applying and verifying the curriculum for 15 weeks, it showed significant results in the 4E model and pre-service teachers' perception of block programming competence and the level of computational thinking on the submitted game project results was also high.

  • 이 연구의 목적은 거시적인 관점에서 NOS의 중요한 요소들을 강조한 Flow map(oh, 2011)를 이용한 명시적이고 암시적인 교육의 본성교육이 얼마나 이루어졌는가를 알아본다. 과학의 본성은 지식의 내용뿐만 아니라 지식이 어떻게 형성되었는가에 있다. 이러한 과학의 본성을 이해한다는 것이 현대의 과학의 중요한 목적중의 하나인 과학적 소양을 얻는 것이다. 이를 구체적으로 실현하는 교수 모형으로 가장 중요한 이론의 생성과 실험에 의한 확증과 이론의 확증을 미시적인 관점으로 연구를 전개하였다. 따라서 먼저 Kuhn(1996)의 과학철학 이론과 NOS를 통한 Flow map 개발에 이론적 배경이 된 과학의 본성의 정의, 과학의 본성에 대해 합의된 핵심 요소들, Kuhn(1996)의 과학철학 이론을 바탕으로 한 Oh(2011)가 제안한 Flow map의 구조를 알아본다. 연구방법은 귀추(abduction)를 통한 가설의 생성과정과 확증을 보여주는 Oh(2012)의 자연과학의 추리과정을 이용하여 충북대학교 천문우주학과에서 자연과학캠프에 참여한 고등학생들을 대상으로, "Galileo의 흑점발견과정"으로부터 현대의 태양의 흑점 모형을 이해하도록 한다.

Analysing data literacy levels in DigComp (DigComp의 데이터 리터러시 수준 분석)

  • 본 논문에서는 DigComp를 분석하여 데이터 리터러시 수준을 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 DigComp의 구성요소인 데이터 리터러시, 소통 및 협업, 디지털 콘텐츠 제작, 보안, 문제해결 중 데이터 리러터시 영역의 세부 요소를 살펴보았다. 데이터 리터러시는 탐색·검색·필터링, 평가, 관리 3가지로 세분되어 있었고, 각각은 수준에 따라 기초, 중급, 고급, 전문가의 4단계로 구분되어 있었다. 그리고 3가지 영역의 수준을 분석하여 각 수준을 대표하는 핵심 단어를 추출하였다. 향후 이를 바탕으로 한 구체적 적용방안에 관한 연구가 이뤄지길 기대한다.

A Study on Teaching-learning for Enhancing Computational Thinking Skill in terms of Problem Solving (문제해결의 관점에서 컴퓨팅 사고력 증진을 위한 교수학습에 대한 연구)

  • This study aims to suggest an instructional design to improve CT(Computational Thinking) skills in terms of problem solving. CT can be defined as a thought processes for computer-based problem solving. Examining the related CT concepts in the general problem solving process can be helpful for learners to understand CT. For this, this study selects the key elements of CT through literature review, describes how the elements are related to each phrase of the problem solving process, and explores cognitive aspects of the CT elements. In addition, this study describes learning activities and learning assessments of the CT elements according to each phrase of problem solving process and suggests a basic instructional design framework for CT in view of problem solving.
