Suggesting the Curriculum Contents of Clothing and Textiles by Understanding Jobs related to Global Sourcing (글로벌 소싱 관련 직무 이해를 통한 의류학 교과내용 제안)

  • Global sourcing refers to activities performed to acquire materials, finished products and apparel production all around the world. The purposes of the study were to examine basic job requirements and primary skills of sales team and supporting team in global sourcing companies, to investigate educational programs provided by the companies or other educational institutions, and to examine courses to be newly established in the curriculum of clothing and textile majors. The results of the study found that the ability to use English and communication skills were important to perform their tasks (sales and supporting teams). The results revealed that fabric and textile, sewing, and apparel production process were the most frequently taken educational programs provided by global sourcing companies and English classes were the most frequently taken educational programs in the other educational institutions. The results also found that the clothing and textile curriculum need to add classes that help sales and supporting teams perform global sourcing tasks, such as fashion practical English, fabric and textile, apparel production processes, textile and apparel trades, fiber and fabric testing, and presentation skills. The study suggested educational directions for developing curriculum contents of clothing and textiles and cultivating professionals in the global sourcing industries.

An Empirical Study on Evaluation of Agricultural Machinery Expo Using IPA Analysis (IPA 분석을 통한 농기계박람회 평가에 관한 실증연구)

  • This empirical study evaluated the 2016 Cheonan KIEMSTA(Korea International Exhibition of Machinery, Equipment, Science and Technology for Agriculture) based on an exhibitor's view. A total of 15 items of importance and performance were selected and 4 quadrants were analyzed for further analysis. The results revealed the following significant factors:concentration region with generating sales, exploring market opportunities in a new region, and meeting key decision makers; the Overkill region with collecting information regarding thecompetitor's product, demonstrating thecompany's capability, increasing staff's trade show experience, and training the sales teams; Low priority region with discovering new products, exploring export opportunities in a foreign market, and gaining an edge over competitors who are not exhibiting; and Keep up the work region bymaintaining relationships with existing customers, collecting market information, benchmarking competitor's position, introducing new product, and motivating sales people.

An Analysis of Concentrate Competency in Bidding Process for Overseas Project of Domestic Construction Companies (국내건설기업의 해외 프로젝트 입찰단계 우선집중역량 분석)

  • Overseas construction orders of domestic companies had been increased significantly in a short period from $10.9 billion in 2005 to $64.9 billion in 2012. However experts are concerned that quality of growth will not support quantitative growth. This study suggest concentrate competencies for not only winning in bid but also successful execution of domestic companies. 4 Steps which are Pre-Marketing, Bid-Preparation, Bidding, Contract Phase are defined for competency assessment. After drawing specific tasks by phase, survey asking importance and capability of the tasks to the person in charge of bidding and site was conducted by utilizing Likert 7 point scale. According to the result of IPA analysis, domestic construction companies need to ensure internal competencies; Project risk review, Bid team organization, and external competencies; Client needs grasp, Localization strategy, Cooperation establishment. Hearafter domestic construction companies will be able to utilize the result of the study for setting bidding strategy for winning in bid and improving earning rate.

  • The number of drones used in various fields expected to 50,000 commercial drones by 2026. is to purchase business liability insurance only for commercial drones, as the scope of use of drones expands, it necessary to improve the drone insurance system, which imposes legal obligations aircraft duties. In particular, due to the diversification of aircraft characteristics of drones, an insurance system according to the degree of risk is required. To this end, a survey on the current status of drone operation in Korea, a review of documents related to drone insurance at home and abroad, collection and analysis of drone-related data, insurance systems for each transportation method, and analysis of data on overseas drone insurance products. o derive an improvement plan for the drone insurance system for drone insurance by aircraft characteristics and operation missions, and establish insurance standards by aircraft characteristics and operation missions, derive implications through required insurance surveys by sector such as users, users, and insurance companies. Detailed insurance standards were established by calculating the degree of risk according to the physical characteristics of the aircraft, and the liability for damage according to the operation mission was specified.
