Determinants of U.S. Buyer Loyalty toward Gobizkorea.com: A Study Focused on Country Image, E-Service Quality, and Satisfaction (미국 바이어의 고비즈코리아에 대한 충성도 결정요인: 국가이미지, 서비스 품질 및 만족도를 중심으로)

  • Gobizkorea is an online B2B matching platform operated by the Small & Medium Business Corporation. Gobizkorea provides an opportunity for resource-poor SMEs to promote their products and exploit new market opportunities at low cost. The successful operation of Gobizkorea will contribute to the increased exports of Korean SMEs. Accordingly, the present study examined determinants of foreign buyer loyalty toward Gobizkorea.com focusing on country image, e-service quality, and satisfaction. One hundred two survey questionnaires were collected from U.S. buyers registered with Gobizkorea.com. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis confirmed three dimensions of e-service quality including information & efficiency, reliability & privacy, and prompt communication & delivery. The path analysis results showed that the country image of Korea significantly and positively affected these three dimensions of e-service quality. Information & efficiency and reliability & privacy positively influenced buyer satisfaction. Reliability & privacy and satisfaction had a positive impact on buyer loyalty. This study enhances the understanding of the foreign buyers use of the domestic e-market platform by examining of determinants of U.S. buyer loyalty toward Gobizkorea.

Sourcing in Korea - Lessons from an International Textile and Apparel Trade Show in Seoul - (한국에서의 소싱 - 서울 국제 섬유/의류 무역전에 참여한 바이어 분석을 대상으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study was to suggest future marketing strategy for Korean textile and apparel industry so that they could find a way to maintain a major sourcing site in the global market place. This study identified international buyers' visiting purposes and the items they were most interested in sourcing from Korea according to their firm types and home country regions. This study analyzed the survey results obtained fiom international buyers who visited the international textile and apparel trade show in Seoul, Korea. The data was analyzed using frequency and ${\chi}^2$-test analysis. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between buyers' country regions and their interests. There was also a significant relationship between buyers' firm types and their visiting purposes. The results indicated that decision making for what Korean industry should focus their marketing efforts on should be different according to the buyers' country regions and firm types. This study was conducted to present an effective marketing strategy for how Korean textile and apparel industries could survive in the competitive global marketplace.

  • 대한인쇄문화협회(회장 조정석) 국제교류위원회(위원장 박제덕)는 지난 7월 2일부터 4일까지 일본 오사카로 해외시장개척단을 파견했다. 5개 업체가 참가한 시장개척단은 지난 7월 3일 그린플라자오사카 호텔 8층 상담회장에서 이뤄진 바이어 업체와의 1:1 상담을 통해 총 1억7000만 엔 규모의 상담실적을 올렸다. 한편, 7월 2일에는 동경 빅사이트 전시장에서 개최된 '2014도쿄국제도서전'을 방문, 우리나라 참가업체들을 격려했다.

'대한민국 에너지대전' 글로벌 행사로 우뚝

  • '2007 대한민국 에너지대전'이 성공적으로 개최됐다. '에너지전시회'에서'대한민국 에너지대전'으로 명칭을 바꾼 이후 처음 열린 이번 행사는 지난 2일부터 5일까지 4일간 서울 삼성동 코엑스(COEX) 태평양홀에서 열렸고 방문객만 2만3000명을 넘어선 것으로 집계되고 있다. 지난 1975년 시작해 올해로 27회를 맞는 이번 행사는 일본.중국.영국.독일.네덜란드.오스트리아 등 총 17개국 192업체가 참가했고 코트라와 업무 협약을 맺어 다양한 해외 바이어들이 직접 참여하는 등 명실상부한 국제 에너지 이벤트 브랜드로 거듭나는 계기가 됐다는 평가를 받고 있다. 특히 이번 전시회에서는 신재생에너지와 기후대책, 에너지효율, 에너지기술 등 4개 분야에서 87개 주제로 약 90회에 걸친 세미나가 열려 새로운 정보에 대한 관람객들의 수요를 충족시켰다. 원스톱 서비스와 고객맞춤형 서비스 제공을 위한 전시회 통합 운영시스템(ExpoOffice)도입을 통해 출품 업체들이 온라인상에서 모든 업무과정을 간소화해 처리할 수 있었던 점도 참여 기업들의 편의 향상에 큰 도움이 됐다. 산업자원부가 주최하고 에너지관리공단이 주관하는 대한민국 유일의 에너지 종합 무역전시회인'2007 대한민국 에너지대전'의 현장을 스케치해본다.

A Study on the Determinants of Demand for Visiting Department Stores Using Big Data (POS) (빅데이터(POS)를 활용한 백화점 방문수요 결정요인에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, the domestic department store industry is growing into a complex shopping cultural space, which is advanced and differentiated by changes in consumption patterns. In addition, competition is intensifying across 70 places operated by five large companies. This study investigates the determinants of the visits to department stores using the big data concept's automatic vehicle access system (pos) and proposes how to strengthen the competitiveness of the department store industry. We use a negative binomial regression test to predict the frequency of visits to 67 branches, except for three branches whose annual sales were incomplete due to the new opening in 2021. The results show that the demand for visiting department stores is positively associated with airport, terminal, and train stations, land areas, parking lots, VIP lounge numbers, luxury store ratio, F&B store numbers, non-commercial areas, and hotels. We suggest four strategies to enhance the competitiveness of domestic department stores. First, department store consumers have a high preference for luxury brands. Therefore, department stores need to form their own overseas buyer teams to discover and attract new luxury brands and attract customers who have a high demand for luxury brands. In addition, to attract consumers with high purchasing power and loyalty, it is necessary to provide more differentiated products and services for VIP customers than before. Second, it is desirable to focus on transportation hub areas such as train stations, airports, and terminals in Gyeonggi and Incheon. Third, department stores should attract tenants who can satisfy customers, given that key tenants are an important component of advanced shopping centers for department stores. Finally, the department store, a top-end shopping center, should be developed as a space with differentiated shopping, culture, dining out, and leisure services, such as "The Hyundai", which opened in 2021, to ensure future growth potential.
