  • At a turning point of new paradigm, each countries in the world are try to search solutions to a current problems of the times in maritime than land. In special, as a maritime power that KOREA is surrounded by the sea on three sides, our country place more weight on maritime. To accomplish a powerful maritime power, it is necessary to create a digital marine spatial on the basis of Marine and Coastal GIS. This planning is establishing that our country, to construct a systematic, efficient Marine and Coastal GIS Infrastructures, is to analyze the present state of internal & external, law and planning related in Marine and Coastal GIS, and establish vision, mission, core values, goals, strategies by setting a basic concept of Marine GIS

  • 2020년 AIS 자료와 해양용도구역 정보를 종합해 월별/해역별 주요 선박 통항로를 분석하고 우리나라 연안의 주요 선박 통항로 영역을 유효·비유효 구역으로 구분하여 향후 빅데이터 기반의 통합 항로 예측에 적용하는데 활용하고자 한다. 이 결과를 선박 해양사고정보, 해양에너지, 수산 등의 해양공간계획(MSP) 정보를 추가·분석할 예정이다. 나아가 국가어항을 중심으로 항만별 분석, 화물선·여객선·어선 중심의 선종별 분석 정보로 확대하여 빅데이터 기반의 항로 예측 기술의 입력자료로 활용할 예정이다.

  • In order to improve user accessibility and interactivity, system scalability, service speed, and a non-standard internet web environment, we developed a Web-based geovisualization system of oceanographic information using HTML5 and dynamic particles. In particular, oceanographic and meteorological data generated from a satellite remote sensing and radar measurement and a 3-dimensioanl numerical model, has the characteristics of a heterogeneous large-capacity multi-dimensional continuous spatial and temporal variability, based on geographic information. Considering those attributes, we applied dynamic particles represent the spatial and temporal variations of vector type oceanographic data. HTML5, WebGL, Canvas, D3, and Leaflet map libraries were also applied to handle various multimedia data, graphics, map services, and location-based service as well as to implement multidimensional spatial and statistical analyses such as a UV chart.

선박 안전 입출항 지원을 위한 해양환경정보 제공기술 개발

  • 선박의 안전한 입출항 지원을 위한 항만항행 환경정보로서 해양환경정보 제공기술을 개발하였다. 선박 안전 입출항을 위한 해양환경정보로는 바람, 조류, 조위, 수심 등의 정보를 고려하였으며, 각각 해역 전체의 공간분포와 항로상 변동을 제공할 수 있도록 정보를 생산하였다. 바람은 기상청의 예보자료를 활용하여 항만 공간 규모에 적합하도록 상세 공간 간격으로 최적화하여 생산하였으며, 조류와 조류는 자체적으로 개발한 조석조류 수치모델 결과에 기반한 실시간 예측 기법을 적용하여 생산하였다. 수심은 해도에 제시된 약최저저조면의 수심에 실시간 조위 변동을 적용하여 선박에서 만나게 될 실제 수심을 생산하였다. 제공 정보 중 공간 분포는 사용자가 원하신 시간에 대해 해역 전체의 정보를 제공하며, 항로상 정보는 선박이 운항하게 될 항적 계획에 따라 공간적으로 시간적으로 변동하는 정보를 제공한다. 본 연구의 결과는 항만 입출항 선박의 안전운항에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

  • For a long time, the ocean was regarded as unknown area ruled by god, consequently, not so much things were developed in scientific methods and activities. Despite a rapid development of geographic information systems(GIS) marine and ocean fields still remained in the scope of traditional tools and intuitive experiences by the late of 1990. However, land based concepts and technology models require additional customization to apply GIS effectively in marine domains, which are resulted from her dynamic, complex and seamless massive nature. This paper gives a brief review of marine spatial data characteristics and also presents strategic approaches to meet the unique marine GIS requirements.

  • Until now, most of the Web GIS system has been developed with one-sided service type that provides pre-built spatial information to users. Recently, however, interactive web system is getting attention because users can create directly spatial information contents that meet their needs. In line with this trend, this study had a aim to develop a UGC(User Generated Contents) support system for marine science researchers who can generate spatial data by themselves on the web. The main advantage of this system is that it provides marine survey data and marine spatial information that needed to work for marine science research. Furthermore, it provides the functions of extracting of coastline as point data for their marine study area, and making of the spatial planning map for marine field survey work and marine science thematic maps for exploratory analysis after research survey. Such kinds of interactive UGC support system gives researchers a chance for utilizing marine spatial information more easily. Therefore, it is expected that the improving of the efficiency of research works, as well as increasing of the utilization of marine spatial data.

  • With a rapid growing of information networks and development achievements in mobile technology the spatial information is one of the most important resources for modern daily life. But the speed of spatial information technology trends are far from the real service demands as compared to the other relevant fields, and it would be natural that this unbalanced gap between the supply and demand of spatial information technology is being resulted from the absence of appropriate modeling concepts at some extents. In this paper there would be shown a new approaching model for the spatial information system based on agent concepts, which is able to perform some spatial tasks if properly implemented afterward. And to give resonable background of the new modeling framework here also some known critics for the commonly used modeling approaches when they applied to spatial information modeling followed by several alternative requirements for a good spatial modeling framework. And also there would be some considerations for applying this approach to the marine geographic information communities.

  • This paper will specify geo-objects and geo-fields of the geo-ecological contamination source and implement the system for evaluating an ocean Environmental contamination based on the spatial statistical analysis. In order to produce the grade of fishery that can evaluate the ocean effect, we will analysis the degree of the spatial correlation by semi-veriogram and predicate the elevation raster of spatial data using ordinary kriging method. This paper is to estimate the grade of fishery contamination region and produce the ratio of the area according to the fishery grade. Therefore, we can contribute to produce fishery grade that evaluates the ocean effect by means of deciding an efficient fishery environment.

  • This study is to develop the direction of the development of the next-generation mapping of marine information required to develop a base of the utilization localization of maritime production tools. The GIS data-processing products and technologies currently used in the Korea's marine sector depend on external applications which is renewal costs, technical updates, and unreflected characteristics. Meanwhile, the S-100 standard, the next generation hydrographic data model that complements S-57's problems in marine GIS data processing, was adopted as a new marine data standard. This study aims to present the current status and problems of marine GIS technology in Korea and to suggest the development direction of GIS software based on the next generation hydrogrphic data model S-100 standard of IHO(International Hydrographic Organization). S-100-based marine GIS localization technology development and industrial ecosystem development research is expected to scientific decision-making on policy issues that occur with other countries such as marine territory management and development and use of marine resources.

  • It's important to develop Metadata standard to manage a large of marine geospatial data such as observation, ocean survey, satellite image more effectively. If we use metadata in Marine GIS we can make sense marine geospatial data, make the most of marine dataset. International standard organization's work and NGIS's standard are a good example to illustrate metadata standard's importance.
