거대설을 동반한 Angle씨 제3급 부정교합의 치료일례 (A CASE REPORT ON CORRECTION OF ANGLE'S CLASS III MALOCCLUSION WITH MACROGLOSIA)

  • This is case report of true class III malocclusion with macroglossia is corrected by glossectomy in 13 years female patient. After orthodontic treatment, the patient is bound to glossectomy because the corrected condition is relapsed to the previous condition due to relatively enlarged tongue compared with the original dental arch. By the interpretation of the cephalogram and model analysis, it is approved that the growth pattern and direction are normal range and mandible is located anterioly to the cranium. The results are follows: 1. We could treat the true Cl III malocclusion. 2. We could prevent the relapse of the treated condition by the surgical intervention, such as partial glossectomy. 3. Sensory, speech, swallowing and so other functions after the operation have been with in normal limit without any serious complications or seguellae.

  • We have studied contrast ratio of a homogeneously aligned nematic liquid crystal (LC) display as a function of the angle between the polarizer axis and LC director. The results show that a cell configuration in which a polarizer axis facing a light source coincides with a short LC axis has a better process margin in terms of high contrast ratio than that of the cell coinciding with a long LC axis.

  • With the development of high speed railway, traction motors play a critical role in the operation of railway vehicle. This paper describes the use of 1000 pF coupler as a on-line partial discharge (PD) measurement for the assessment of railway traction motor. The PD tests are performed with developed PD analyzer and the 5 model coils such as thermal, electrical, mechanical and environmental aging respectively at various AC voltages. On-line PD tests using 1000 pF couplers show that PD patterns can be detected successfully at 2.3 kV.

  • Facilities of electric railway should be maintained only at night and it is necessary to maintain by human power because facilities are installed at a high place. This paper presents the development and application of a real-time data acquisition system for the characteristics measurement of overhead contact wires in electric railway. The system is designed to perform in the telemetry environments that developed to store data by wireless in a live wire state of 25 kV power source. The field test results show that the proposed technique and the developed system can be practically applied to measure characteristics of temperature, displacement, and strain on overhead contact lines.

  • In this paper, We design the high performance 2D product Iterative decoder using three different external value design. We improved the external value operation in two ways to reduce the delay and speed. In this proposed operation, each design has been simulated on Matlab and MaxPlusII, and implemented on the FPGA to measure their performance.

정신분열병 환자 가족보호자의 주관적 부담과 그 결정요소 (The Subjective Burden of Family Caregivers with Schizophrenics and Its Predictors)

  • Experiences of the subjective burden and its determinants were analyzed in a sample of 110 primary family caregivers of adult schizophrenic patients. The subjects reported varying amount of subjective burden and its mean score was 17.84 that meant considerably high level of subjective burden. Reports of subjective burden were high in the items of 'pity', 'frustration and resentment', 'regret'. The result of factor analysis revealed that subjective burden consisted of four factors such as 'hopelessness', 'frustration and resentment', 'fear', and 'pity and anxiety'. The results about the determining variables of subjective burden indicated that the prognosis of patient, perceived stigma, the number of previous hospitalization, the availability of secondary caregiver, primary caregiver's age, and family income were predictive of primary caregivers' subjective burden. The result examining the multivariate relationship among subjective burden, stressors, social support, family demographic and socioeconomic characteristics revealed that the more important determinants of subjective burden were the prognosis of patient, perceived stigma, and the number of previous hospitalization, Implications for intervention to help with primary caregivers' subjective burden were discussed.

  • In electric railway, image monitoring using high speed camera provides reliable, timely information of wear and geometry status, important in taking decisions for overhead contact wire maintenance. The contribution of this research is the development of a simple real-time monitoring system for use in measurement subsystem of contact wire and geometry of overhead contact wire in electric railway. The system has been consists of a high speed CMOS camera with resolution $1024{\times}1280$ pixels, line type laser source and PC-based image acquisition system with PCI Express slot. Vision acquisition software have been used in application programming interface for image acquisition, display, and storage with a frequency of sampling of 500 acquisitions per second.

게임 공간의 분류와 시나리오의 시간 및 공간 동기화 표현법 (The Classification of Game Spaces and the Notations for Spatio-Temporal Synchronization on a Scenario)

  • Most of the previous game development has proceeded in the approaches of the temporal-oriented synchronization because of producing game objects by using general authoring tools, and ad hoc or trial and error methods has been devised for representation of spatial concept. This paper is a study on the unification notation for spatio-temporal synchronization to conquest this fault. First of all, we classify game space as temporal object, spatial object, absolute/relative spatio-temporal space. The spatio-temporal relationships are divided into temporal extent, temporal location, spatial extent, and spatial location. In the paper the temporal and spatial relationships of game scene are defined to represent the synchronization, and we propose new unification notation by temporal and spatial concept to represent two concepts putting emphasis on space. Their relationships are presented on 3D by creating time axis related with time in scene unit of the two dimensional plane in the pivot on space. The usability of this representation method are shown by applying examples of game scenario.

  • 여수권역 해양교통시설에 해양기상 수집 시스템을 구축하여, AtoN AIS를 이용하여 주변을 항해중인 선박에 해양기상 정보를 직접 제공하고, AIS 기지국을 통해 해양기상 정보를 수집 처리하여 연안여객터미널, 해경 파출장소, 유관기관을 해양기상 정보를 제공함으로서 도서민이나 해양에 종사하는 사람, 레져 인구에게 제공하는 서비스로서 해양교통시설을 활용하여 좀 더 안전한 해양 업무를 수행하고 사고로 인한 인명 및 물적, 환경적인 피해를 줄일 수 있도록 한다. 여수권역 해양교통시설에 6개 국소와 별도의 기상관측 부이를 설치하여 대기기상(풍향/풍속, 기온/습도, 기압, 시정) 과 해양기상(유향/유속, 파향/파고, 수온)을 관측 할 수 있도록 구축하였으며, 기상관측 표준화법에 맞게 센서를 검정하고, 설치하여 관측 자료의 신뢰성을 확보하였다.

  • 초대형 컨테이너선의 출현 이후 각국의 항만들은 메가 허브 포트가 되기 위하여 첨단기술을 컨테이너터미널 업무에 적용하는 등 효율성과 생산성 향상을 위한 노력에 박차를 가하고 있다. 컨테이너터미널에서는 게이트, 야드, 안벽 업무로 나누어져 있으며, 이들 업무간의 효율성 향상을 위해서는 각 업무들 간에 인터페이스가 원활하게 유지되어야 한다. 현재 컨테이너터미널의 야드 업무에서는 외부차량과의 인터페이스를 원활하게 하기 위해서 바코드를 이용한 키오스크 기반 외부트럭 인터페이스를 사용하고 있으나 변화해가는 항만 환경 속에서 좀 더 효율적인 야드 업무 처리를 위해서는 신기술이 적용된 외부트럭 인터페이스가 개발되어야 할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 최근 컨테이너터미널 야드 업무에서 외부트럭과의 인터페이싱 방안으로 활발하게 적용되고 있는 RFID 기반 외부트럭 인터페이스와 기존 사용되고 있는 키오스크 기반 외부트럭 인터페이스를 비교 분석을 통하여 효율성을 평가하고자 한다.
