Implementation of the Alert System for Safety of Workers (근로자의 안전을 위한 경보시스템 구현)

  • This paper proposes the Alert System, the purpose of which is to detect an accident and to take care of it quickly in a working place. In the previous studies, a wireless network system was suggested using 'Star Topology'. However, this study constructs the wireless network system of Peer-to-Peer Topology, which allows to build more efficient network for communication. Also, with this system it is possible to check other the worker's situation through double sensing with Temperature/Gas sensor and Inclination sensor. In order to take action quickly, the Alert System is using a monitoring program which visualizes a worker's situation and the area where an accident occurs.

  • '09. 12. 4 인천항 갑문 앞 충돌사건 이후 유사사고 발생 재발 방지를 위하여 여러 가지 대책을 수립하여 시행해오고 있다. 그 중에서도 관제사의 동시다발적 관제에 따른 관제공백 발생 최소화를 위한 방안 모색이 중심과제라 할 것이다. 현장 실사를 통해서 인천항 이용 선박의 항해통신 장비 현황과 항행정보 요구 수준을 먼저 알아보았다. 본 연구에서는 AIS의 TEXT MESSAGE를 기반으로 한 자동정보시스템을 이용하여 VTS가 선박운항자에게 적시적소에 항만운영정보 및 항행안전정보를 제공하는 방안을 검토하였다.

  • Recently lots of problems are emerged on the conventional surveillance systems at several areas. Many research activities have been processing on those problems. Therefore, in this paper, it is helpful to all sorts of accident prevention and safe driving, and risks linked to the outside or the administrator tells, that intelligent video surveillance system which can be real-time analysis and monitoring configuration, technical elements, required features, application and its applies.

  • This paper aims to establish a reconfigurable flight simulation environment to conduct safety evaluation of various electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. Since the inceptor, aircraft dynamics model, and controller applied to each eVTOL aircraft are different, it was configured to be variable so that a simulation can be executed for each eVTOL aircraft. Test elements and performance indicators were set to perform safety evaluation of eVTOL aircraft. Ground auxiliary equipments were designed and implemented in a simulation environment according to test procedures for each test element. In addition, to analyze safety performance, a simulation flight data collection environment based on MATLAB/Simulink and a tool for safety performance analysis were implemented. Test flight and analysis were conducted in the implemented simulation environment in this paper. Finally, this study shows the environment was verified by confirming that it was performed normally.

  • As the technology of Speech Recognition(SR) and Text-To-Speech(TTS) develops rapidly, voice control and guidance system is thought to be very helpful for safe navigation. But Voice Control and Guidance System(VCGS) is not yet so popularly included in Navigation Supporting System(NSS). The main reason of this is that VCGS is so complicated and user-unfriendly that navigation officers hesitate to use VCGS. Frequent errors in operating VCGS due to low rate of SR are another reason. To make VCGS more practicable for safe navigation, we design the user-friendly VCGS. Firstly, by using interviews we survey functions and procedures that navigation officers want to be included in VCGS. Secondly, to raise the rate of SR, we tun the environmental noise in bridge and to reduce the errors due to low rate of SR in operating VCGS, we design the functions of self-correction. Also we apply a user-independent SR engine so that procedures of teaming of speakers is basically not necessary. Using simulator experiments the functions and procedures of the user-friendly YCGS for safe navigation are evaluated and the results of evaluation are fed back to the design. As a result, we can design the VCGS more helpful for safe navigation. In this paper, we describe the features of the user-friendly VCGS for safe navigation and discuss the results of simulator experiments.

  • 해양사고 예방에 대해 연안 해역이 취약함에 착안하여 서남해안을 중심으로 연안 해상교통관제서비스(연안VTS) 시스템이 설치되고 있다. 인천, 평택, 대산항이 밀집되어 있는 경인 지역은 복잡한 해안 구조와 교통량이 많아 허베이스피리트호 사건과 같이 대형 해양사고에 취약한 지역으로서 안전관리를 위해 경인 연안VTS가 2017년 개국될 예정이다. 관제서비스 제공의 품질을 향상하기 위하여, 경인 연안VTS 관제구역을 설정해 보고, 교통여건, 해상교통량, 해상교통흐름 및 해양사고 현황을 조사하여 항행 위해 요소를 분석해 보았다.

  • IMO MSC 에서 제안된 E-Navigation 개념은 전자정보통신기술에 기반한 선박과 육상간 해양정보의 수집, 통합, 교환, 표현, 분석 풍을 통해서 항행 안전과 효율을 높이고, 해양환경을 보호하는 항행서비스를 개선하는 것이다. E-Navigation 전략을 개발하고 E-Navigation 환경을 구축하는 과정에서 해상교통환경의 주체가 되는 관제센터와 운항 선박의 정보교환 연동 시뮬레이션은 E-Navigation 환경 구축에서 중요한 의의가 있다. 육상-선박간 연동 시뮬레이션을 통해서 E-Navigation의 다양한 정보 교환의 기술적 가치와 새로운 교통환경의 안전성과 효율성을 평가할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 항만 관제 모의를 수행하는 VTS 시뮬레이터와 선박운항을 모의하는 선박운항 시뮬레이터를 통합 운영하여 고급의 교통 정보를 양방향으로 교환하고, 각 선박마다 차별화된 교통 정보를 제공받을 수 있는 방안을 마련하기 위한 E-Navigation 환경을 시뮬레이션하는 시스템을 연구하였다.

Case Study for Functional Hazard Assessment of A-SMGCS (A-SMGCS 기능 위험 평가 사례 연구)

  • Safety assessment is necessary to develop safety related CNS/ATM system. It includes functional hazard assessment (FHA), effects eliciting system safety requirement that mitigates system's hazardous event. This paper performs a case study for functional hazard assessment of A-SMGCS. To do this, related A-SMGCS studies from Eurocontrol and EMMA are surveyed, and assessment schemes of functional hazard from Eurocontrol and EMMA are combined. Not only FHA scope but also several assumptions for FHA are defined for Incheon airport. 29 hazards are identified and their severities are assessed. And exposures and safety objectives from hazards are analyzed using event tree analysis method. Differences between result of this study and result of EMMA are analysed, and assessment results in this study are also reviewed.

  • A concept of the "e-Navigation" was introduced in 2005 and implementation strategies are under way by IMO/IALA in the maritime safety area. Specially VTS is an important maritime traffic monitoring and aids to navigation system which is aims to improve safety, navigation efficiency and protect the marine environment. The demand of the inter-VTS networking has been increased and standardization is underway for realization of shore side collaboration for maritime safety in IALA. But there may be security problems in the inter-VTS networks if they have not proper security mechanism. The hacking of realtime ship position and sensitive maritime surveillance information caused a critical accident of vessel, human life and environment by terrorist. This paper aims to design of a secure inter-VTS network structure and related security protocol for secure sharing of sensitive maritime data.

  • With the recent development of defense technology, various aircraft armaments/equipments are being developed. Among them, cruise guided weapons(missile) for launching aircraft can be installed on aircraft aftersecuring reliability and safety through varioustests. In order to avoid collision with aircraft, missile separated from aircraft must release restraint of wing at the specified time, control wing in the specified direction. In order to confirm this, a test system that can control MIL-STD-1760 according to safety separation procedure and verify release performance is required. test system needs a function to check circuit for release of restraints and a function to check driving performance by controlling MIL-STD-1760. In addition, test system should be simulate environment separated from aircraft. This paper presented a testsystemthat can verify circuit and driving performance mounted on missile according to the safety separation procedure, and it was confirmed that it was normally separated from aircraft through flight tests.
