Big data-based Local Store Information Providing Service (빅데이터에 기반한 지역 상점 관련 정보제공 서비스)

  • Location information service using big data is continuously developing. In terms of navigation, the range of services from map API service to ship navigation information has been expanded, and system application information has been extended to SNS and blog search records for each location. Recently, it is being used as a new industry such as location-based search and advertisement, driverless cars, Internet of Things (IoT) and online to offline (O2O) services. In this study, we propose an information system that enables users to receive information about nearby stores more effectively by using big data when a user moves a specific route. In addition, we have designed this system so that local stores can use this system to effectively promote it at low cost. In particular, we analyzed web-based information in real time to improve the accuracy of information provided to users by complementing the data. Through this system, system users will be able to utilize the information more effectively. Also, from a system perspective, it can be used to create new services by integrating with various web services.

  • Numerous maritime safety technologies and systems are being developed to support safe navigation at Sea. e-Navigation is a representative system for maritime safety. It is being developed to maximize the ships safety by applying most maritime safety technologies. The e-Navigation system is being developed by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) with the aim of introducing it by 2019. South Korea has already recognized the importance of maritime safety support technology and is actively introducing e-Navigation. Korean e-Navigation is being designed to provide diverse functions for maritime safety, such as providing an optimal safe route, risk analysis, and weather information. Service modules that provide e-Navigation's each function use different types of data that are difficult to configure as a single database. In this paper, we analyze the data needed for Korean e-Navigation, the data service system structure and types that can effectively support it.

  • The method on reconfiguring job priority in service queue has been developed to provide seamless service and to enhance operability of Data Service Platform(DSP) in Korean e-Navigation project that performed by Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries(MOF) since 2016. It plays a critical role for providing seamless services of DSP to expect which services ships request to DSP and how much time it costs to make services for responding them to ships in advance. Therefore, as developing a method on reconfiguring jobs in service queue of DSP with a noble algorithm to analyse priority index in parallel, DSP can provide seamless services to ships regardless of data volume and the number of requests that stacked in service queue.

  • Recently, one of the major issues of shipbuilding and marine is the reduction of air and marine pollution emission to ships. In response, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) has concluded an international convention (MARPOL) to prevent pollution from ships. A Annex Six of The Convention restricts and regulates air and marine pollution of ship from exhausting gases. To this end, it is required to apply EEDI (Energy Efficiency Design Indicators) to the construction of new ships, and to minimize the emission of environmental pollutants by recommending the application of EEOI (Energy Efficiency Operation Indicators) to operational ships. Therefore, in this study, we propose to calculate the grade of operating efficiency (EG) of ships based on actual operational data for transport ships and to provide energy-efficient optimal path search information through analysis of marine environment data.

  • A framework for semantic annotation oi human motion sequences is proposed in this paper. Motion capture technology is widely used for manuiacturing animation since it produces high qualify character motion similar to the actual motion of the human body. However, motion capture has a significant weakness due to the lack of an industry wide standard for archiving and retrieving motion capture data. It is difficult for animators to retrieve the desired motion sequences from motion capture files as there is no semantic annotation on already captured motion data. Our goal is to improve the reusability of motion capture data. To archive our goal first, we propose a standard format for integrating different motion capture file formals. Our standard format is called MCML (Motion Capture Markup Language). It is a markup language based on XML (extensible Markup Language). The purpose of MCML is not only to facilitate the conversion or integration of different formats, but also to allow for greater reusability of motion capture data, through the construction of a motion database storing the MCML documents Second, we define motion ontologies that are used to annotate and semantically organize human motion sequences. This ontology-based approach provides the means for discovering and exploiting the information and knowledge surrounding motion capture data.

  • There are Marine equipment, electronic chart display and information system(ECDIS) which can make a voyage using sounding machine in vessel. ECDIS current systems do not have a unified protocol between devices installed in the sea. But protocols between devices are not unified in this system. When the devices installed on the sea are replaced, communication environment should be changed. It is costly to dismantle and withdraw them so they are used without change. Due to these problems, a system being sold in the market consists of ENC system and another system receiving data seperately. In this paper, to solve these problems, it is designed to integrate and support various protocols within a system using data transmission and receiving function and streaming so that ENC can be seen via mobile as well.

A Study on Water Depth Measurement Rate Improvement using Echosounder (음향 측심기 수심인식률 향상 기법 연구)

  • Nowadays, echosouder has been widely used in sea survey and ship navigation. By utilizing echosounder, we can measure the depth of water reliability. However, the problem is that depth update rate drops remarkably when sea bottom is shallow or steep/rugged. Therefore, we have developed an optimized algorithm to process tranducer's soundwave signals at high-speed and minimize error. Processing algorithm is implemented by the latest DSP processor (TMS320F2812), consequently, high-speed data processing can be achieved. Performance of the proposed algorithm is verified by experiments and compared with existing algorithms. It has shown that our method results in higher precision in water depth measurement than other methods.

  • Because voyages of large ship applies electronic chart, electronic chart standardization takes a peak importance in navigation safety. Currently the standard electronic chart follows the form S-57 but is currently establishing S-100 as the new Transfer Standard for Digital Hydrographic Data. S-100 was determined by IHO about Transfer Standard for Digital Hydrographic Data in 2010 years. Hence as S-100 takes place as the new standard for the safety of ocean vessel activities, the electronic chart, which was previously based on S-57, would be in avail only after it follows the new S-100 form. This paper discusses analyzations of metadata thorugh S-57 record and field, and study a system which creates S-100 Metadata.

  • The main memory database systems (MMDBMS) efficiently supports various database applications that require high performance since it employs main memory rather than disk as a primary storage. Recently, it has been increased needs that have the fast data processing as well as the efficient modeling of application requiring for a complicated structure, and conformity to applications that need the strict dta consistency. In MMDBMS, because all the data is located in the main memory, it can support the usable expression methods of data satisfying their needs without performance overhead. The method has the operation to manipulate the data and the constraint such as referential integrity in more detail. The data model consists of this methods is an essential component to decide the expression power of DBMS. In this paper, we discuss about various requests to provide the communication services and propose the data model that support it. The mainly discussed issues are 1) definition of the relationship between tables using the pointer, 2) navigation of the data using the relationship, 3) support of the referential integrity for pointer, 4) support of the uniform processing time for the join, 5) support of the object-oriented concepts, and 6) sharing of an index on multi-tables. We discuss the pointer-based data model that designed to include these issues to efficiently support complication environments.

  • 자율무인잠수정은 자율운항을 위해서 자동화된 제어시스템이 필요하다. 제어시스템은 기능적 측면에서 임무계획단계(mission planning level), 임무제어단계(mission control level), 선체제어단계(vehicle control level)로 구분한다. 자율무인잠수정의 효과적인 임무 수행을 위해서는 임무제어단계의 운행 경로 설정과 제어가 중요하다. 자율무인잠수정은 잠수정의 주변환경을 추상화한 후 탐색기법을 이용하여 경로를 설정한다. 이때 검색기법의 효율적 적용을 위해서는 효과적으로 추상화된 탐색모형이 필요하다. 대표적인 탐색모형으로는 3차원 격자절대좌표 모형(3-dimensional grid unit coordinate model)(1)을 들 수 있다. 그러나 이 모형은 불필요한 동작의 반복, 이동 격자에 따른 비일관성과 같은 취약점이 존재한다. 본 연구에서는 이 모형의 취약점을 개선하기 위해서 자율무인잠수정의 위치 기반 상대적 격자좌표 모형(relative grid unit coordinate model based on AUV state)을 제안한다.
