  • Recently the departments of aviation-related in the college are increased as the aviation industry is rapidly expanded. To enhance their competitiveness and have differentiation, it is emphasized for each department to manage and teach their students well. Therefore this study aims to examine self-efficacy and academic adjustment of aviation-related college students and investigate the relationship between self-efficacy and academic adjustment. To achieve the objectives, it conducted a survey of aviation-related college students in C university from Apr. 27th. 2015 to May. 22th. 2015. A total of 225 questionnaires were analyzed using SPSS 18.0 statistical package program and frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, multiple regression analysis, correlation analysis and one-way ANOVA were conducted. The result released that general self-efficacy was recognized higher at the department of aviation operation than aviation maintenance and aviation service and social self-efficacy was recognized higher at the department of aviation service than aviation maintenance and aviation operation. Also general self-efficacy had an influence on the motivation, application and performance and social self-efficacy affected motivation, performance and academic environment. The implication of these findings would help to manage aviation-related college students, develop their departments and provide the directions for future research.

  • In this study, based on actual data for the past 20 years, the factors affecting aviation trade were identified by classifying the countries that concluded FTAs with Korea and those that did not, through panel analysis. The amount was analyzed by dividing it into exports and imports, and differences between countries with FTAs and non-FTAs were also derived. As a result of the analysis, both exports and imports showed a positive(+) direction for the counterpart country's GDP per capita and Korea's GDP, and a negative(-) direction for the counterpart country's GDP and Korea's per capita GDP in the case of a country that signed an FTA. On the other hand, in the case of non-FTA countries, the GDP of both countries showed a positive(+) direction and per capita GDP showed a negative(-) direction. International oil prices did not show any significant results. As such, the results of the analysis of exports and imports are similar, but the difference is that the GDP variable acts in different directions between countries with and without FTAs.

  • The aircraft noise analysis area in this study is a training airfield where various kinds of aircraft are operated. It is difficult to identify the noise analysis as a real measurement in a training airfield. In order to overcome these practical limitations and to establish appropriate noise countermeasures, a noise map is prepared using the Integrated Noise Model Version 7.0 of the aircraft noise prediction program used by the FAA. The noise of C90GT aircraft was measured while flying the takeoff route, landing route, and long route. We want to identify areas where noise damage is more than 70 WECPNL. No area exceeding the legal standard of 70 WECPNL was found in all routes.

  • The paste-type adhesive can be stored for a certain period of time and can be cured at room temperature. So it is mainly used for crack patching repair of aircraft airframe structures. This study analysed the influence of environmental factors and evaluated the adherence strength characteristics according to the adherence delay time of the paste-type adhesive. The test specimens were made of aluminum alloy(AL 2024-T3) with reference to ASTM D1002 which is generally performed to measure the adherence strength of the adhesive used for metal bonding. As a result of analysing the influence of temperature and humidity, it was found that the optimal temperature range is $24.5{\pm}0.5^{\circ}C$ and the optimal humidity range is $71{\pm}1%$ for maintenance work of the aircraft using EA-9320 adhesive. In addition, the adherence strength did not decrease with the inherent application time of the EA-9320, but it was found that the adherence strength dropped rapidly when the applied time exceeded the inherent application time of it.

  • A PSU (passenger service unit) is mounted on passenger seats in a cabin on an aircraft and consists of a crew call lamp, a reading lights, an information display lamp, an emergency oxygen generator, and an emergency oxygen mask. It is a safety device for providing convenience to passengers and providing oxygen to passengers in an emergency. This paper is a study on emergency oxygen supply systems and light systems of aircraft PSUs and a control device was developed to operate the system by analyzing the B767-300 aircraft's PSU circuit diagram. And the temperature generated by the B777-200ER aircraft's emergency oxygen generator was also measured by operating it directly. Through this, precautions for explaining the operation of an oxygen mask in an emergency were described and improvements were presented. Data acquired in these research processes can be used in the future to develop aircraft PSU (passenger service unit) and emergency oxygen generators.

  • Modern state-of-the-art military aviation assets are operated with independent embedded real-time operating systems(RTOS). These embedded systems are made with a high level of information assurance. However, once the systems are introduced and installed on individual platforms for sustaining operational employment, the systems are not actively managed and as a result the platforms become exposed to serious threats. In this paper, we analyzed vulnerability factors in the processing of mission planning data and maintenance-related data for fighter aircraft. We defined the method and form of cyber attacks that modulate air data using these vulnerabilities. We then proposed a detection module for integrity detection. The designed module can preemptively respond to potential cyber threats targeting high - value aviation assets by checking and preemptively responding to malware infection during flight data processing of fighter aircraft.

  • The development trend of jet fighter's avionics system architecture is the digitization of subsystem component functions, increased RF sensor sharing, fiber optic channel networks, and modularized integrated structures. The avionics system architecture of the fifth generation jet fighters (F-22, F-35) has evolved into an integrated modular avionics system based on computing function integration and RF integrated sensor systems. The integrated modular avionics system of jet fighters should provide improved combat power, fault tolerance, and ease of jet fighter control. To this aim, this paper presents the direction and requirements of the next-generation jet fighter's avionics system architecture through analysis of the fifth generation jet fighter's avionics system architecture. The core challenge of the integrated modularized avionic system architecture requirements for next-generation fighters is to build a platform that integrates major components and sensors into aircraft. In other words, the architecture of the next-generation fighters is standardization of systems, sensor integration of each subsystem through open interfaces, integration of functional elements, network integration, and integration of pilots and fighters to improve their ability to respond and control.

  • Pilots have used checklist as a valuable tool to improve aviation safety and to reduce human error. A checklist however is too complex for a student pilot to use with less flight experience or time than a commercial pilot. It is agreed upon such complex checklist be a factor to threaten aviation safety for student pilots. This paper has focused on a checklist by dividing it into a couple of basic three flight procedures. Making exploratory case study of student pilots, researchers could analyze the correlation between checklist factors and those of human errors. First of all, it was necessary for student pilots to be educated professional knowledge regarding aircraft structures and engines to perform preflight inspection reducing human errors. Moreover it was recommended student pilots as well as maintenance crew confirm checklist together to enhance aviation safety.
