Taste Compounds of Fresh Water Fishes 3. Sensory Evaluation of Taste Components in the Extract of Wild Common Carp and Korean Snakehead Meat (담수어의 정미성분에 관한 연구 5. 천연산 잉어 및 가물치 합성 엑스분의 관능검사)

  • Sensory evaluations of synthetic extracts prepared on the analytical data in the previous papers (Yang and Lee, 1979, 1930-a, 1980-b, 1982) were undertaken to determine the origin of the taste of wild common carp, Cyprinus carpio, and Korean snakehead: Channa argus. Taste panel assessments of synthetic extracts prepared with each extractive component omitted were carried out by a triangle difference test, and changes in taste profile were assessed. The synthetic extracts, prepared with about 40 pure chemicals based on the analytical data from the species satisfactorily revealed the natural taste of the original extracts except slight difference in meaty taste and mildness. From the results of omission test the major components which contribute to produce the taste of the species were assessed as follows: glycine, glutamic acid, arginine, lysine, threonine, alanine, IMP, inosine, hypoxanthine, glucose, succinic acid, $Na^{+},\;Cl^{-}\;and\;PO_{4}^{3-}$ in common carp: glycine, alanine, glutamic acid, IMP, Na+ and $PO_{4}^{3-}$ in Korean snakehead.

Modeling for Memristor and Design of Content Addressable Memory Using Memristor (멤리스터의 모델링과 연상메모리(M_CAM) 회로 설계)

  • Memristor is a portmanteau of "memory resistor". The resistance of memristor is changed depends on the history of electric charge that passed through the device and it is able to memorize the last resistance after turning off the power supply. This paper presents this device that has a high chance to be the next generation of commercial non-volatile memory and its behavior modeling using SPICE simulation. The memristor MOS content addressable memory (M_CAM) is also designed and simulated using the proposed behavioral model. The proposed M_CAM unit cell area and power consumption show an improvement around 40% and 96%, respectively, compare to the conventional SRAM based CAMs. The M_CAM layout is also implemented using 0.13${\mu}m$ mixed-signal CMOS process under 1.2 V supply voltage.

  • With the popularization of smartphones and the development of digital technologies, new concepts that maximize interactive communication have begun to appear in marketing strategies. One of them is the gamification marketing strategy that combines games with marketing that induces customer interest and voluntary participation. Gamification is a compound word of 'game' and '-fication', and marketing cases using game formats are being implemented in various fields. Therefore, this study will identify the implications of the usage of gamification that has become a trend, and analyze the gamification techniques and factors shown in various cases to suggest the direction of gamification as an effective marketing strategy. Companies are actively using gamification in their marketing strategies in a variety of forms and apply gamification techniques such as challenge, competition, accomplishment, reward, and relationship. As a result of the case analysis, important factors commonly identified in the gamification techniques used in marketing are 'Accomplishment' and 'Rreward'. Using various products and benefits obtained through solving a given mission or task as game elements, it was found to be an effective strategy to induce consumers' interest and participation and to promote consumption by encouraging consumers' immersion.

  • A technology in development called CACD (Computer Aided Clothing Design) can reproduce fashion shows by utilizing computers, and is of particular interest. Considering the growth potential of this area, the purpose of this study is to present the development potentials that CACD technology will bring to the fashion area and to promote the diversity of the fashion industry. This will be realized by identifying the current status of CACD and its reach in the field of Fashion, followed by an in-depth analysis of its application. The methodologies employed in this study are as follows; in-depth study of related literature, field research of business firms, and investigation on Internet data. For the systematic advance of CACD, the development of user-friendly programs for 3D clothing design is of the utmost priority. The four technologies that should be intensively developed to enhance the development of the clothing industry through the utilization and commercialization of CACD are as follows; First, technology capable of performing accurate three-dimension measurement of the human body is needed. Second, technology which realizes automatic pattern formation is needed. Third, the nature physical properties of the material and textile design when applied to pre-formed patterns must be expressed similarly to the real thing. Last of all, an integrative technology which can conduct fast and accurate clothing simulations must be developed.

A Study on the MARC Format for Classification Data (분류용 MARC 포맷에 관한 연구)

  • This article investigates the functions, needs, and developments of the MARC format for classification data. and recommends the development for the KORMARC format for classification data. It ae analyzes the record structure, content designation and the content of it mainly based on USMARC format. Structure and content designation are almost same with those of the bibliographic and authority formats. The data fields divided into functional blocks based on their functions. Record contents of the data in the fixed-length fields include more elements on the classification numbers, including type of number, classification validity, standard or optional number, synthesized number. Variable fields can be grouped into several blocks, inducing those for numbers and codes: for classification numbers and terms; for references and tracings; for notes fields: for index terms fields, and for number building fields. Data in each fields of this format have the same contents with those in other related fields as soon as possible. This article analyzes the content in each data fields in detail.

  • Since Google's AlphaGo defeated a world champion of Go players in 2016, there have been many interests in the deep learning. In the financial sector, a Robo-Advisor using deep learning gains a significant attention, which builds and manages portfolios of financial instruments for investors.In this paper, we have proposed the a deep learning algorithm geared toward identification and forecast of the KOSPI index direction,and we also have compared the accuracy of the prediction.In an application of forecasting the financial market index direction, we have shown that the Robo-Advisor using deep learning has a significant effect on finance industry. The Robo-Advisor collects a massive data such as earnings statements, news reports and regulatory filings, analyzes those and recommends investors how to view market trends and identify the best time to purchase financial assets. On the other hand, the Robo-Advisor allows businesses to learn more about their customers, develop better marketing strategies, increase sales and decrease costs.

Antioxidant and Cytotoxic Effects of Coenzyme Q10 Derivatives (Coenzyme Q10 유도체들의 항산화 및 세포독성 효과)

  • Coenzyme $Q_{10}$ and six derivatives of coenzyme $Q_n$ were synthesized and tested for their antioxidative effects occurred in proximal tubular epithelial cell (LLC-PK1 cell) and cytotoxicities using in NIH/3T3 cell. As the result, synthetic coenzyme $Q_n$ derivatives showed a potent antioxidative effect compared to coenzyme $Q_{10}$. Among these synthetic compounds, coenzyme $Q_3$-C at ranged 0.04 to 0.4 mmol showed the $107.7{\sim}135.9%$ of cell viability in LLC-PK1 cell. In the test of NIH/3T3, all synthesized coenzyme $Q_n$ derivatives showed the similar effect compared with coenzyme $Q_{10}$. A correlation between isoprene unit number of coenzyme $Q_n$ derivatives and its biological effects, we suggest reduction of isoprene unit number of $Q_n$ derivatives may be related to the increase of antioxidants effects and the reduction of cytotoxicities.

  • In the recent, the communication market increased every year. Because of the user's demands and exhaustion of wireless resource, we needs a new technology of the communication system. The femtocell is one of the new technology of the communication system. 'Femto' means very small. By using the femtocell that made up the very small cell, the frequency efficiency increase. The femtocell has different cell environments. The Power Control is important for femtocell to avoid interference and unnecessary handover. In this paper, we propose a new femtocell power control that is improvement of handover probability and throughput. And we simulate and check the result.

  • In this paper, VR game was produced to inform the danger of using smartphone while walking and to raise awareness. In this VR games, you can experience Smombie (smart phone and zombie compound word) like a real situation by using Google card board and Bluetooth controller. Designed as a directions game of everyday material, the user indirectly experiences the dangerous situations that may actually occur in everyday life. In the virtual space, you can see the map on the smartphone, navigate the route, and send text messages using the controller during the game. We will explain how to implement smartphone map and send text message using controller which are the main functions of VR game.

  • Metaverse is a compound word of 'meta' and 'universe', which means transcendence and the world. It is a digital world where daily life and economic activities are possible. While the Metaverse is being actively used as an alternative space to enjoy leisure life since COVID-19, not much academic research on Metaverse in Korea has been done yet. Based on the previous research on Metaverse in Korea and overseas we conducted a typology analysis on cultural leisure-based Metaverse and a study on its key features. Considering the current situation in which the Metaverse era is blooming we also investigated the development trends of the Metaverse and related technologies at home and abroad. We also presented the direction of advancement of the cultural leisure-based Metaverse. This study differentiates itself from previous domestic and foreign studies by discovering and analyzing theoretical models, frameworks and features in terms of society, collaboration, and leisure use through case studies. It is meaningful that this research presents directions on further Metaverse research that reflect the current information technology (IT) and changes in life.
