Bayesian parameter estimation of Clark unit hydrograph using multiple rainfall-runoff data (다중 강우유출자료를 이용한 Clark 단위도의 Bayesian 매개변수 추정)

  • The main objective of this study is to provide a robust model for estimating parameters of the Clark unit hydrograph (UH) using the observed rainfall-runoff data in the Soyangang dam basin. In general, HEC-1 and HEC-HMS models, developed by the Hydrologic Engineering Center, have been widely used to optimize the parameters in Korea. However, these models are heavily reliant on the objective function and sample size during the optimization process. Moreover, the optimization process is carried out on the basis of single rainfall-runoff data, and the process is repeated for other events. Their averaged values over different parameter sets are usually used for practical purposes, leading to difficulties in the accurate simulation of discharge. In this sense, this paper proposed a hierarchical Bayesian model for estimating parameters of the Clark UH model. The proposed model clearly showed better performance in terms of Bayesian inference criterion (BIC). Furthermore, the result of this study reveals that the proposed model can also be applied to different hydrologic fields such as dam design and design flood estimation, including parameter estimation for the probable maximum flood (PMF).

Movie Box-office Prediction using Deep Learning and Feature Selection : Focusing on Multivariate Time Series

  • Box-office prediction is important to movie stakeholders. It is necessary to accurately predict box-office and select important variables. In this paper, we propose a multivariate time series classification and important variable selection method to improve accuracy of predicting the box-office. As a research method, we collected daily data from KOBIS and NAVER for South Korean movies, selected important variables using Random Forest and predicted multivariate time series using Deep Learning. Based on the Korean screen quota system, Deep Learning was used to compare the accuracy of box-office predictions on the 73rd day from movie release with the important variables and entire variables, and the results was tested whether they are statistically significant. As a Deep Learning model, Multi-Layer Perceptron, Fully Convolutional Neural Networks, and Residual Network were used. Among the Deep Learning models, the model using important variables and Residual Network had the highest prediction accuracy at 93%.

  • This paper is a pilot study regarding an experimental and parametric study to investigate the structural behavior of slimfloor beam(ASB) in fire. The objective of this research is to obtain the rational fire resistance design method through understanding the structural behavior of composite members in fire. The flexural capacity of slimfloor section under various thermal conditions is examined on a basis of the strength retention of the materials at elevated temperatures and full bonding assumption. The effect of web thickness and ASB depth to the moment capacity in fire is also examined.

  • 그래핀은 우수한 전기적, 기계적, 광학적 특성들로 인하여 전자소자, 센서, 에너지 재료 등으로의 응용이 가능하다고 알려진 단 원자층의 탄소나노재료이다. 특히 그래핀을 전자소자로 응용하기 위해서는 캐리어 농도, 전하 이동도, 밴드갭 등의 전기적 특성을 향상시키거나 제어하는 것이 요구되며, 에너지 소재로의 응용을 위해서는 높은 전기전도도와 함께 기능화를 통한 촉매작용을 부여하여 효율을 향상시키는 것이 요구된다. 일반적으로 화학적 도핑은 그래핀의 전기적 특성을 제어하는 효율적인 방법으로 알려져 있다. 화학적 도핑의 방법으로 질소, 수소, 산소 등 다양한 이종원소를 열처리 또는 플라즈마 처리함으로써 그래핀을 구성하는 탄소원자를 이종원자로 치환하거나 흡착시켜 기능화 처리된 그래핀을 얻는 방법들이 제시되었다. 이중 플라즈마를 이용한 도핑방법은 저온에서 처리가 가능하고, 처리시간, 공정압력, 인가전압 등 플라즈마 변수를 변경하여 도핑정도를 비교적 수월하게 제어할 수 있다는 장점을 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 열화학기상증착법으로 합성된 그래핀을 직류 플라즈마로 처리함으로써 효율적인질소도핑 조건을 도출하고자 하였다. 그래핀의 합성은 200 nm 두께의 니켈 박막이 증착된 몰리브덴 호일을 사용하였으며, 원료가스로는 메탄을 사용하였다. 그래핀의 질소 도핑은 평행 평판형 직류 플라즈마 장치를 이용하여 암모니아($NH_3$) 플라즈마로 처리하였으며, 플라즈마 파워와 처리시간을 변수로 최적의 도핑조건 도출 및 도핑 정도를 제어하였다. 그래핀의 질소 도핑 정도는 라만 스펙트럼의 G밴드의 위치와 반치폭(Full width at half maximum; FWHM)의 변화를 통해 확인하였다. NH3 플라즈마 처리 후 G밴드의 위치가 장파장 방향으로 이동하며, 반치폭은 감소하는 것을 통해 그래핀의 질소도핑을 확인하였다.

Nominal Flexural Strength Considering Strain-hardening Effect of HSB600 Steel for Composite I-girders in Positive Bending (HSB600 강재의 변형-경화를 고려한 강합성 I-거더의 정모멘트부 공칭휨강도)

  • This paper proposes nominal flexural strength considering strain-hardening effect of HSB600 high performance steel for compact composite I-girders in positive bending. Unlike conventional steels, HSB600 undergoes strain-hardening just after yielding without going through yield plateau. However, because the nominal flexural strength specified in domestic and foreign bridge design specifications has been developed for the conventional steel composite girders, the nominal flexural strength does not appropriately consider the strain-hardening of HSB600. Therefore, plastic moment considering a strain-hardening is proposed so as to consider effect of the strain-hardening of HSB600 on flexural strength and then moment-curvature analysis is performed to a wide range of cross-sections. From results of the analysis, a parameter representing the effect of the strain-hardening on the flexural strength of HSB600 composite girders is proposed. Furthermore, by using this parameter, the nominal flexural strength considering the strain-hardening effect for HSB600 composite I-girders in positive bending is proposed and then evaluated by comparing with the current AASHTO LRFD bridge design specifications.

Synthesis of Structured Lipids from Corn Oil and Conjugated Linoleic Acid with Immobilized Lipase-Catalyzed Reaction (옥수수유와 conjugated linoleic acid로부터 고정화 효소를 이용한 재구성지질의 합성)

  • Structured lipids (SL) were synthesized by esterification of corn oil and conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) in a continuous packed-bed column reactor. The effects of flow rate, reaction temperature, and substrate molar ratios were studied. The reaction was catalyzed by TL IM (immobilized lipase from Thermomyces lanuginosa). Results of triacylglycerol (TAG) analysis by GC showed that the incorporated CLA isomers were mainly cis9, trans11- and trans 10, cis12-CLA. Slower flow rates yielded higher incorporation, and maximum incorporation of CLA was obtained with a molar ratio of 1:3 (corn oil: CLA) at a temperature of $55^{\circ}C$. The obtained SLs had iodine values ranging from 120 to 128. The SLs were composed of TAG $(98{\sim}99%)$, 1,2- and 1,3-diacylglycerol ($0.7{\sim}1.3%$), and a small amount of monoacylglycerol.

A Minimal Resource High-Level Synthesis Algorithm for Low Power Design Automation (저 전력 설계 자동화를 위한 최소 자원 상위 레벨 합성 알고리즘)

  • This paper proposes a new minimal resource high-level synthesis algorithm for low power design automation. The proposed algorithm executes an efficient approach to minimize the power consumption of the functional units in a circuit during the high level synthesis. In this paper, we visit all control steps one by one to reduce the switching activity in CDFG. The register sharing algorithm determines the minimum register after the life time analysis of all variable. According to property of input signal for functional unit, the proposed method visits all control step one by one and determines the resource allocation with minimal power consumption at each control step in a greedy fashion. The effect of the proposed algorithm has been proved through various filter benchmark to adopt a new scheduling and allocation algorithm considering the low rover.

  • 산업 및 기술의 발전에 의해 많은 신소재들이 개발되고 있다. 그 중에서 금속 나노 분말의 경우, 자성소재, 차세대 MLCC, 전도성 페이스트, 살균 등 여러 산업분야에서 관심을 보이면서, 다양한 재료들이 개발되고 있는 추세이다. 그 중에서 금속 나노 분말은 입자 미세화에 따른 경도, 인성, 연성들의 기계적 특성 향상, 전자기적 기능의 향상 등 기존재료에 비해 우수한 물성, 새로운 기능의 발현이 입증되면서 차세대 소재로서 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 또한 최근에는 단순한 나노입자의 제조단계를 뛰어넘어 입경 및 입도의 제어 형상제어를 통한 입자 균일성이 요구되고 있다 DC 열 플라즈마를 이용한 나노입자 합성 방법은 초고온의 온도의 달성이 가능하여, 모든 금속원소에 대한 나노화 및 고순도화가 용이할 뿐만 아니라, 제조공정이 단순한 친환경 공법으로 저비용으로 나노입자를 제조할 수 있는 장점을 갖고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이송식 DC 열 플라즈마를 이용한 Cu 나노분말 제조, 비이송식 DC 열 플라즈마를 이용한 Fe 나노분말 합성 연구를 통해 반응기의 압력과 플라즈마 파워, Gas 유량등의 공정 변수가 나노입자 생성 특성에 미치는 영향을 확인 하였다. 또한 DC 열플라즈마 나노입자 합성 시스템에 대한 장비와 기술도 소개한다.

Delay Characteristics and Sound Quality of Space Based Digital Waveguide Model (공간 기준 디지털 도파관 모델의 지연 특성과 합성음의 음질)

  • Digital waveguide model is a general method that is used in physical modeling of musical instruments. Wave motion is analyzed by time or by space in digital waveguide model. Because sampling is made via time, it is general that musical instrument model is described by wave motion of time. In this paper, we synthesized the musical instrument sound by adding instrument body model to the spatial based string model. In this way, we could improve sound quality and process musical instrument model's tone control variables effectively. We explained about delay error that happens in string and body in space based sampling and showed method to process fractional delay using FD (Fractional Delay)filter. Finally, we explained the relation between tone quality and number of delays. And we also compared the result with time base digital waveguide model.

Test of SRC Column-to-Composite Beam Connection under Gravity Loading (중력하중을 받는 SRC기둥-합성보 접합부 실험)

  • In this paper, steel reinforced concrete(SRC) column and composite beam connections were statically tested under gravity loading. The composite beam consists of H-section and U-section members. Five full-scaled specimens were designed to investigate the effect of a number of parameters on behavior of connections such as H-section size, the presence of stud connector, the presence of stiffeners and top bars. In addition, structural performance of welded joint between the H-section and the U-section members is mainly discussed, with an emphasis on initial stiffness, strength, deformation capacity.
