Taxonomic study for the comantulid crinoids collected from Korea Strait was conducted. A oligophreatan species, Parametra orion (A. H. Clark, 1907) belonging to the family Thalassometridae, was identified and turned out to be new to the Korean fauna. The family Thalassometridae is newly reported in Korea.

1990년 12월부터 1997년 7월까지 제주도의 8개 지점에서 4종(Phyllidia ocellata, Fryeria menindie, Phyllidiella pustulosa, Phyllidiella cooraburrama)의 혹갯민숭이과가 채집되어 이들의 색채변이 및 분포범위에 대하여 논하였다. 또한 원색 사진과 함께 재기재를 하였다. 혹갯민숭이류는 한국해역에서 새로이 기록되는 과이다.

1993년 4월 부산시 부산 공동어시장에서 채집된 전갱이과 어류 1개체가 등지느러미와 뒷지느러미에 1개의 작은 토막지느러미가 있는 점에서 전갱이아과 Caranginae에 속하는 종으로, 가라지속 Decapterus의 한국 미기록종인 홍기가라지(국명신칭) Decapterus tabl로 동정되었기에 이를 기재하였다. 본종은 상대적으로 측선이 완만한 경사를 이루고, 측선의 경사 부위에 모비늘이 없으며, 측선 모비늘수가 34-48개이고, 두정부의 비늘은 안구의 중앙 뒤쪽까지 분포하고 있다. 또한 복추골에 2개의 측돌기공 및 꼬리지느러미가 적색인점 등이 동일 속의 다른 종들과 잘 구분된다.

한국의 자생해조 발굴연구의 과정에서 털가시우무(Hypnea flagelliformis Greville ex J. Agardh)가 동해 연안에서 채집되었다. 본 종은 뚜렷한 주축, 잘록한 기부의 가지, 주축 및 가지에 밀생하는 다수의 짧은 소지가 있으며, 수세포 벽에 원형질 비후가 없다는 점이 특징적이다. 털가시우무는 한국산 미기록종으로 본 연구에서 처음으로 보고된다.

A naturalized species, Silene antirrhina L is newly reported in Korea. S. antirrhina L. was found along the Geumho riverside in Daegu. S. antirrhina L. is similar to S. koreana Kom. and S. armeria L. in that it has dark glutinous areas. S. antirrhina L. can be distinguished from congeneric species by the stamens and styles of its sepal and seed surface which are finely papillate. The Korean name of S. antirrhina L. "Ganeun-Kkunkkunijangguchea" was newly formulated based on the overall characteristics of this thin and small plant and on the Korean name of S. koreana Kom. photos of the habitat and a description and key of characteristics are provided.

An unrecorded species, Carex rugata Ohwi, was found in Jeollabuk-do and Jeollanam-do. This species is distinguished from Carex breviculmis R. Br., C. mitrata Franch., C. polyschoena H. Lev. & Vaniot, C. genkaiensis Ohwi, C. formosensis H. Lev. & Vaniot and C. kamagariensis K. Okamoto by having achenes with excavated faces. Carex rugata Ohwi was named 'Ju-reum-cheong-sa-cho' in Korean based on its specific epithet. In this study, a description, illustrations and photographs of the species are provided.

34 species of Chloropidae are recorded from South Korea, 22 (Aphanotrigonum occultivirgatum, Calamoncosis duinensis, Conioscinellu gallarum, Dicraeus stackelbergi, Elachiptera biculiminata, Elachiptera tuberculifera, Gampsocem sp., Meijerella inaequalis, Psilacrum sp., Rhodesiella nitidifrons, Rhopalopreruin anthracinum, Scoliophthalmus japonensis, Siphunculina sharmani, Speccafrons pallidiventris, Togeciphus katoi, Chloropsina sp., Cryptonevra diadema, Cryptonevra inquilina, Lasiosina orientalis, Meromyza sororcula, Pseudop(4chychaeta sp. and Steleocerellus ensifer) for the first time, bringing the total to 45 in Korea.
