  • We isolated endophytic fungi from the coniferous leaves of Abies koreana and Taxus cuspidata inhabiting Mt. Hallasan, Korea. The isolated fungal strains were identified based on a phylogenetic analysis using nucleotide sequences of the internal transcribed spacer region, large subunit region of ribosomal DNA, and translation elongation factor region. Results confirmed four prevously unreported endophytic fungi in Korea: Lachnellula hyalina, Ochrocladosporium elatum, Phacidium lacerum, and Phyllosticta cussoniae. In this report, we describe the morphological characteristics of these fungi and the results of the phylogenetic analysis.

  • We report a taxon of the unrecorded genus Knorringia (Polygonaceae) from Baengryeongdo, Ongin-gun, Incheon-si in the Korean peninsula. This taxon is K. sibirica (Laxm.) Tzvelev subsp. sibirica., has been known from Siberia, Mongolia and China. The new Korean name, 'Si-be-ri-a-yeo-kkwi', was given considering the species epithet and the type locality, Siberia. Description, illustration and photograph showing habitat were given.

  • Twenty six species of 8 genera of the Korean Cochylini belonging to Tortricidae, excluding a genus Phalonidia, are recognized during the course of this study. Among them 7 species, Aethes citreoflavus Kuznetsov, Cochylidia heydeniana (Herrich- Sch$\ddot{a}$ffer), C. moguntiana (R$\ddot{o}$sier), Eupoecilia angustana (H$\ddot{u}$bner), E. kobeana Razowski, Pseudargyrotoza calvicaput (Walsingham), and Stenodes cuspidatus Ge, are reported for the first time from Korea. A key to the genera is given. Male and female genitalic structures of 7 unrecorded species are briefly redescribed and illustrated.

  • A newly recorded species, Schoenoplectiella ${\times}$uzenensis (Ohwi ex T. Koyama) Hayasaka, was found in Chosan Lake, Gosu-myeon, Gochang-gun, Jeollabuk-do, Korea. Schoenoplectiella ${\times}$uzenensis differs from its related species in having short rhizomes and 1 to 3 spikelets showing inflorescence. Schoenoplectiella triangulata has very short rhizomes and 520 spikelets with inflorescence. Schoenoplectiella lineolata has long creeping rhizomes and 1 spikelet showing inflorescence. We propose the new Korean name of 'Go-Chang-Go-Rang-Ei' based on its initial collection site. A description, line drawing, color photographs, table, and a species key of Korean Schoenoplectiella are provided for species identification.

  • In the subfamily Drepanepteryginae of Hemerobiidae, Neuronema albostigma has been the only species known in Korea. Here we report that the genus Drepanepteryx Leach, 1815 and its species Drepanepteryx phalaenoides ($Linn{\acute{e}}$), 1758 are newly reported as a member of Drepanepteryginae in Korea. Together with a key for the species of Korean Drepanepteryginae, a brief description, COI barcoding sequence, and photos of adult and male genitalia for the species are provided.

  • We reported an unrecorded species of the genus Allium (Alliaceae) which is growing along riversides in the central part of Korean peninsula. A. longistylum Baker, has been known to distribute only in China. The new common name, 'Gang-bu-chu', was given considering the habitat characteristics such as growing riversides in Korea. In this study, we described morphological characters, and provided illustrations as well as photographs of the habitat.
