한국에서는 예로부터 한국 원산이나 중국 원산의 장미가 재배되었는데, 19세기 후반부터는 미국$\cdot$유럽으로부터 서양 장미가 들어와 다채로운 원예종의 장미를 재배$\cdot$관상할 수 있게 되었다. 장미는 꽃의 여왕이라는 별명으로 항상 우리에게 즐거움과 기쁨을 주는 상징의 꽃으로 여겨지며 지금도 사랑하는 이에게 장미꽃 선물은 당신을 향한 증표로 세계인의 사랑을 독차지하고 있다. 장미는 사랑으로, 추억으로 아름다움으로 영원한 향기를 낼 것 같은 신비로움으로 우리의 마음을 전달해 주는 영혼의 꽃이다. 오늘날 장미는 야생종 사이의 잡종이거나 그 개량종으로, 예로부터 주로 향료용$\cdot$약용으로 재배되어 오다가 중세 이후에 관상용으로 개량하여 재배하게 된 원예종이다. 서양에서는 주로 향료용$\cdot$의약용$\cdot$장식용으로 재배되어 온 것과는 달리, 동양에서는 주로 관상용으로 재배되었다. 중국에서는 장춘화(Rosa chinensis;nina rose) 등의 장미가 재배되어 왔으며, 고대중국 회화에도 장미가 많이 그려져 있다. 한국에서도 예로부터 장미가 주로 관상용으로 재배되어 온 것으로 여겨지고 있다. 즉, 조선 세조 때 편찬된 원예서$\ll$양화소록(養花小錄)$\gg$에는 장미는 자태가 아름답고 아담하다고 하였으며, 또 가우(佳友)라 하여 화목 9 등품제 가운데 5등에 놓고 있다. 이처럼의 우리의 사랑을 받고 있는 장미에 피해를 주는 몇몇 해충 종에 대해서 생태 및 방제법을 소개하고자 한다.

근대 사회로 진입을 시도하면서 서양의 근대 문물이 국내로 쏟아져 들어오게 되었다. 그 중 전등은 고종의 필요에 의해 빠르게 도입되면서 서울의 경관을 근대적으로 이행시켰다. 전등으로 인한 야간경관은 도시의 시공간적 변화를 모두 지니는 경관으로 근대도시를 이해하는 데 중요하다. 이 연구는 서울 최초의 근대적 야간경관의 형성 과정을 추적하고자 했다. 한국에서 전등이 가장 먼저 설치된 곳은 1887년 경복궁의 건청궁이었다. 하지만 고종이라는 특정 인물을 위해 만들어졌다는 점에서 일면 중세적인 성격을 지닌 경관이라 할 수 있다. 궁궐에서만 사용되었던 전등이 민간인에게까지 전파된 데에는 전차 부설이 중요한 역할을 한다. 당시 사람들에게 전차는 부국강병의 지표이자 개화된 사회의 상징이었다. 전차의 이용객이 늘어나게 되면서 운행시간은 22시까지 연장되었다. 이때 전차의 야간운행은 1900년 종로 보신각에 가로등을 설치하는 계기가 된다. 종로 가로등은 민간이 볼 수 는 최초의 근대적 야간경관이다. 종로 야간경관은 일반 백성들이 쉽게 볼 수 있었으며 당시 백성의 상권을 위하여 조성되었다는 점에서 진정한 의미에서 최초의 근대적 야간경관이라 할 수 있다.

In today's man's domestic environments, the development of furnishings in their various shapes and functions is as complex as human lives. Architecture, Interior, and Furniture, each one of these have the relationship closer and closer to the direct human environments. In this study, by choosing the theme of sitting , the transformation of man's behavioral models would be examined in sociological terms. By viewing the chair as an emblematic objects made for more than just sitting, the chair has revealed the relations of man with his environment since the history of furnishings began. Qualified architects and designers know that chairs are no longer the objects, but the primary subject of furnishings. Through this examination of the emblematic typologies of periodic chairs in the history of the Western culture, in terms of their relationships with politics , religions, monarchies, societies, and etc., the meaning of the designs could be find and which could be the resolutions for the future innovative design. These refound or recreated meanings in the history of design could create another typology for the future reality.

The purpose of the research was influential in the fashionable dacolleta of women's costume in the mid-l5th century. The results were as follow: A variation of social environment and an aesthetic sense brought on desires to express human nature. Especially, the importance for costume of the appearance of a new spirit, confirmed and developed on the contemporary. The first symptoms of humanism were leaning towards secular art, an ideal of man at once more independent and avid for action, and an interesting applied to the individual and particularity. In addition, love affairs between the ladies and knights led to increasing interest in the beauty of weakness and tenderness in the women's body Sorel Agnas who was a lover of Charles VII, France king, had a great influence on the fashion of decollette in women's costume. It was just a dacolletta to express an ideal of beauty to neckline in women's dress in contemporary.

Social awareness of mathematics and academic attitudes toward the value of mathematics education has kept changing according to the intellectual, political and religious contexts. In this article, we examine how mathematics was defined and recognized in liberal arts education of the Roman Empire and early medieval Western Europe. This study analyzes how mathematics was described in encyclopedic works written in the Roman era after the mid-second century BC and in the Western European monasteries and cathedral schools after the fifth century. Ancient Greek mathematics took a clear place in liberal arts education through encyclopedia writings and prepared a mathematics curriculum for medieval universities. I hope this study will contribute to understanding the origin and context of the mathematics curriculum of medieval universities.

In this paper, we investigate a relation between the history of western logic and religion. Logic, as distinct from theology, began in Greece in the sixth century B. C. After running its course in antiquity, it was again submerged by theology as Christianity rose and Rome fell. Its second great period, from the eleventh to the fourteenth centuries, was dominated by the Catholic church, except for a few great rebels, such as the Emperor Frederick II(1195-1250). This period was brought to an end by the confusion that culminated in the Reformation. The third period, from the seventeenth century to the present day is dominated by science; traditional religious beliefs remain important but are felt to need justification, and are modified wherever science seems to make this imperative.

본 기고부분에서는 레이저 라만 분광법을 이용하여 나노입자에 흡착된 자기조립박막의 구조를 밝히고 응용성을 모색하는 일을 소개하고자 한다 Au 나노입자는 최근 재료과학과 의학 및 생물학에서 그 쓰임의 폭이 넓어지고 있다. 나노입자가 처음 사용된 예들 중에 가장 잘 알려진 것은 고대 로마 시대의 Lycurgus 컵에 기인한다고 한다. 컵 안에 함유된 미량의 은이나 금 나노입자에 의해서 반사했을 때와 투과할 때의 빛깔이 다르게 보이며 이러한 성질은 중세건축물의 스탠드 글라스에 이용되어 왔다. 근대적인 의미에서 Au 콜로이드의 수용액이 작은 미세입자가 분산되어 있다고 생각한 사람은 전기화학의 창시자라 할 수 있는 영국의 Faraday라 할 수 있다.(중략)

This is a study on the dualism of gender through the costume in the Middle Age. Jeanne d'Arc was an existential person in the Hundred Year's war(1338-1453). She persisted in retaining male attire and armour at her own request. One of the points for which she had been condemned was the wearing of male apparel. It was judged as an evil spirit and rendered Jeanne a witch and a heretic therefore she was burned to death in the market place at Rouen, on the 30th May, 1431. It is one of the evidence which represent dualism of gender through the costume.

본 논문에서는 구조물이 과도한 기진력을 받을 때에 구조물의 진동 제어를 위하여 제안 되어진 여러 가지 포화 제어 알고리듬들의 유용성을 실제적인 관점에서 살펴보았다 제안된 포화 제어 알고리듬 중세서 수정된 뱅뱅 제어 알고리듬이 매우 유용한 것임을 확인할 수 있었으나 이는 제어력 파형 결정 파라미터의 어떤 범위내에서만 효과적이며 그 범위를 넘어서는 경우에 있어서는 제어기를 불안정하게 할 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다 따라서 수정된 뱅뱅 제어 알고리듬의 적용시에 과도한 외부 기진력에 대하여 제어기의 안정적인 작동에 의한 구조물의 진동제어효과를 얻기 위해서 제어력 파형 파라미터를 과도 기진력의 크기에 따라 변화시키는 적응형의 방법을 제안하였고 이의 유용성을 수치실험 및 유압식 질량 감쇠기를 장착한 축소 구조물 검증 실험을 통하여 확인하였다.

The attempt to find the origin of Post-modern aesthetics from the Middle Ages is easy to perceive the thinking system of contemporary design. The Middle Ages showed that things and God's relation were symbolized all things were connected with analogical ideas as mysticism(alchemy, gnosticism), and God's world was represented with the metaphor. While the hybrid style of Post-modern architecture expressed that the rationalism was opposed to Ideology, partly, the idea of irrational with mysterious, also unscientific with analogical discourse . And the Symbolism of Post-Modern Design is means of popular Communication. Exactly, the common feature of ideology with pre-rationalism and anti-rationalism are against the dominated ideology in present. In conclusion, the relation of significancy effect In Chaos and In composition can be considered inspirational source historically.
