A study on the Correlation of between Online Learning Patterns and Learning Effects in the Non-face-to-face Learning Environment (비대면 강의환경에서의 온라인 학습패턴과 학습 효과의 상관관계 연구)

  • In the non-face-to-face learning environment forced into effect by the COVID-19 pandemic, online learning is being adopted as a major educational technique. Given the lack of research on how online learning patterns affect academic performance, this study focuses on the number and duration of online video learning sessions as a major factor based on midterm and final exams, and with a formative assessment for each type of learning. The correlation of the learning effects was analyzed. The analysis focused on computer programming subjects, which are among the most difficult liberal arts subjects for arts and science students at the university level. The analysis of cases of actual students showed no correlation among weekly formative assessments, the number of learning sessions, and the learning duration. On the other hand, the number of learning sessions (r=.39 p<0.05) and learning duration (r=.42 p<0.05) were correlated with the midterm and final exams. Elements, such as SMS text, bulletin board, and e-mail, were excluded from the analysis because not all students have access to them. Therefore, the results can be improved if future analysis of the students' learning patterns in a non-face-to-face lecture environment is performed considering more factors/elements and the learners' needs.

  • 본 논문에서 구현한 평가 시스템은 클라이언트/서버 환경 하에서 교사로 하여금 서버에 저장되어 있는 문제은행을 자신의 PC에서 손쉽게 관리하고, 인터넷을 통해 학생들을 테스트할 평가 문제를 자유롭게 출제할 수 있도록 투명성을 제공하고 있다. 또한 테스트 결과를 다양하게 통계 처리하여 보여줌으로써 교사가 학생 및 학급별 학습 능력 수준을 손쉽게 파악할 수 있도록 처리하였다. 학생들은 인터넷 접속을 통해 문제를 풀고 즉시 보여지는 채점 결과를 통해서 자신의 오답과 정답을 즉시 비교해 볼 수 있으며, 더불어 문제 해설 부분을 통하여 보충학습의 효과를 얻을 수 있도록 하였다. 이에 본 논문은 교사가 학생 수준에 적합하게 학생들을 개별 지도할 수 있는 자료를 제공함으로써 기존의 교사 주도적이고 획일화된 주입식 교육 방식의 문제점을 해결하며, 이를 통해 학생들에게 학습 의욕을 향상시킬 수 있는 기회를 제공하고자 하였다.

  • 최근 스마트 러닝이 학교현장에서 자리매김하고 스마트 기기도 활용이 됨으로써, 과거에는 수행할 수 없었던 평가방식과 학습활동의 관리가 가능해졌다. 하지만, 아직도 학교현장을 위한 앱이나 웹 프로그램의 개발은 활성화되고 있지 않다. 본 연구에서는 학생들이 수업시간에 직접 스마트기기를 활용하여 학생들의 학습활동을 평가하고 이를 데이터화함으로써 향후 학생들 스스로의 자기관리나 교사들의 학습자 지도에 도움이 될 수 있는 웹응용과 앱을 개발함을 목적으로 한다.

  • According to previous researches about online evaluation in many e-Learning contents, it took too much time and effort to generate test questions for formative or achievement tests using a database as an item pool. Furthermore, it is hard to measure accomplishment of learners for each unit through overall tests provided by existing e-learning contents. In this paper, to efficiently cope with problems described above, the item pool based on Item Form was transformed into Interaction Date Model in Run-Time Environment of SCORM2004. And the contents for the math concepts and principles that students would learn from regular classroom were developed in accordance with SCORM. In addition, Confidence Factor Function was used to take an objective view in measuring the accomplishment of learners through the items automatically generated by LMS(Learning Management System).

  • 해상풍력발전단지 환경평가를 위한 조류충돌저감장치를 개발하기 위하여, 천연기념물 조류를 구부할 수 있는 인공지능 카메라를 개발한다. 보호해야 할 조류를 90프로 이상 정확하게 구분하기 위한 계층구조 라벨링 방법을 고안하고 YOLO5 모델을 사용하여 학습을 수행하고, 그 결과를 보인다.

  • In the information-oriented society, the paradigm of education has changed from the existing traditional teaching-centered education to the learning-centered education. In the Web-based Learning System which an learning-centered educational environment using the internet, students should have responsibility of their learning as taking more opportunities to participate their learning positively, to control their process of learning and to evaluate their learning by themselves to improve self-directed loaming ability. In this paper, the Web-based Learning System with a Self-Study Plan to lead students to select own purposes and methods of the study and write a self_evaluation is developed. The Self-Study Plan is a guide to lead the process, an order to have an individualized study and a report to evaluate own study. In addition, the suggested System is designed through object-oriented method using the extension mechanism of UML to archive the improvement of reuse and maintenance.

  • In order to adapt learners' individual differences in learning ability, individual learning and level-learning have been recommended. However, instructing each student accordingly is not easy issue. In this paper, an online learning support system based on Keller's Personalized System of Instruction theory is developed. As a class-based system, it supports teachers and students to conveniently conduct frequent formative evaluations. It enables students to study at their own learning pace and to reach their learning goals. And it adopts point system and level system to induce self-directed participation. Our implementation results confirm teachers can conduct formative evaluations efficiently.

  • As e-learning is recognized in new education form, Learning Management System that manage general activity of learning to maximize effect of education is being developed actively. Usually, Learning Management System includes course registration and learning as well as learner's learning recording and tracking, evaluation in online. But, most systems is lacking a tool that learners can collaborate with companion learners, and planning learning and set valuation basis as leading. In this paper, we can expect effective collaborative learning activities because can make debate and team project smooth by suggesting collaborative learning module that can drive voluntary participation such as group formation, learning plan, mutually estimation as leading to learner in Learning Management System of blended learning base that support online and offline environment both.

  • 유선인터넷을 통한 원격교육, 사이버대학 등을 통해 각종 학습이 활발하게 이루어지고 있으나 아직까지 이동성의 장점으로 인하여 많은 잠재력을 가진 무선인터넷을 이용한 학습 환경은 초기 단계이다. 본 논문에서는 국내 사용자의 무선인터넷 이용실태에 대해 알아보고 관련연구 및 기존의 사례 분석을 통해, 교사가 웹에서 편리하게 문제와 학습 내용을 제공하고 학생은 웹 뿐만 아니라 언제든 이동 중에도 활용 가능한 모바일 단말장치를 이용해 영어 학습을 할 수 있는 유$\cdot$무선 연동 학습지원시스템을 설계, 구현하였다. 구현된 시스템은 교사가 교육 목적에 따라 다양하게 대그룹과 소그룹을 지정하여 학습 내용과 문제를 제공할 수 있도록 하였으며, 학생은 문제를 풀면 즉시 답과 해설을 피드백받을 수 있다. 또한 학생으로부터 교사가 평가를 받음으로써 수업 기술 개선에 도움이 될 수 있는 도구로도 활용 가능하다.

Study on Detection Technique for Cochlodinium polykrikoides Red tide using Logistic Regression Model under Imbalanced Data (불균형 데이터 환경에서 로지스틱 회귀모형을 이용한 Cochlodinium polykrikoides 적조 탐지 기법 연구)

  • This study proposed a method to detect Cochlodinium polykrikoides red tide pixels in satellite images using a logistic regression model of machine learning technique under Imbalanced data. The spectral profiles extracted from red tide, clear water, and turbid water were used as training dataset. 70% of the entire data set was extracted and used for as model training, and the classification accuracy of the model was evaluated using the remaining 30%. At this time, the white noise was added to the spectral profile of the red tide, which has a relatively small number of data compared to the clear water and the turbid water, and over-sampling was performed to solve the unbalanced data problem. As a result of the accuracy evaluation, the proposed algorithm showed about 94% classification accuracy.
