The Effect of Corporate Support in Learning on Individual Participation in Learning and Organizational Learning (기업에서 학습지원이 개인의 학습참여와 조직학습에 미치는 영향 분석)

  • This study examines corporate support in learning on individual participation in learning and organizational learning. For this purpose, First, what does corporate support in learning affect individual participation in learning? Second, what does corporate support in learning and individual participation influence organizational learning? This study analyzed 1,268 employees at 139 companies. Sample sizes averaged about 9.22 employee per corporate. This paper used statistical method of hierarchical linear model. Above all, the findings show that corporate support in both formal and informal learning has meaningful effect on individual participation in formal learning and relationship. The findings reveal that corporate support in formal learning has influence on capacity, organizational memory, learning competency, adaptation to environment except sharing value. Furthermore, individual participation in learning has positive effect of increased organizational learning in all areas. In particular, it is shown that participation in informal relationship plays an important role to improve individuals' organizational learning ability.

Organizational Learning for Innovation Performance of Ventures: The Mediating Role of Entrepreneurial Orientation (벤처기업의 조직학습과 혁신성과: 기업가적 지향성의 매개역할)

  • While organizational learning (OL) is vital for ventures to build knowledge bases necessary for successful innovation, less attention has been paid to how learning organizations leverage it for performance improvement. We investigate entrepreneurial orientation's (EO) role in performance-by-learning mechanisms underpinning ventures' innovative initiatives, adopting dyadic performance indicators: technological competitiveness and business performance. Analyzing 218 Korean ventures, our study shows that firms valuing OL, characterized by acquisitive and experimental learning, exhibit high EO, facilitating productive use of knowledge-based resources and enhancing performance. Importantly, EO fully mediates the performance implications of OL. Our findings suggest that a comprehensive learning approach for knowledge acquisition and experimentation provides ventures, often facing smallness and newness liabilities, with a fertile entrepreneurial ground for increased innovation returns.

  • 최근 세계경제의 중장기적 불황과 성장률의 하락을 경험하고 있는 가운데, 새로운 상품이나 서비스를 탄생시키고 생산방식의 변화와 혁신을 통해 조직의 지속가능성을 높이는 조직구조에 대한 관심이 날로 높아지고 있다. 이러한 분위기에서 중소벤처기업의 성장은 국가경제에 미치는 영향이 매우 크다는 것을 모두 공감하고 있으며, 이러한 중소벤처기업이 기업의 성과를 높이고 그러한 성과를 지속할 수 있도록 구성원들의 학습역량을 높이기 위한 다양한 노력들이 지속되고 있다. 본 연구의 목적 역시 벤처기업 CEO의 기업가정신과 리더십이 학습민첩성과 어떠한 상관관계를 가지고 있는가를 조사하고 탐험과 활용을 하는 양손잡이 조직구조가 매개역할을 하는지에 대해 분석 하는데 있다. 본 연구에서는 벤처기업 CEO의 기업가정신과 리더십이 조직구성원의 학습민첩성에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구를 양손잡이 조직구조의 매개효과를 중심으로 진행하였다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 CEO의 기업가정신과 리더십이 벤처기업의 양손잡이 구조를 증진하고, 증진된 양손잡이 구조가 학습민첩성에 영향을 미칠 것이라는 인과적 경로를 검증하고자 한다. 불확실한 환경 하에서 조직의 지속적인 성장과 생존을 위해 새로운 변화에 빠르게 대응할 수 있는, 그리고 조직 내의 핵심 역량으로 요구되고 있는 학습민첩성(Learning Agility)을 종속변수로 설정하여 본 연구를 진행하였다.

A Study on Effect of Organizational Performance of SME in Gumi by R&D Learning Organization (R&D 학습조직이 구미지역 중소기업의 조직성과에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of R&D learning organization activities of domestic small and medium-sized businesses on economic/technological results. This study, through investigation on preceding studies of domestic and foreign learning organization researchers, examined the definition, characteristics, and deteriorating factors of learning organization, and learned dependent variables, which are the definition of organizational performance, and relationship between learning organization and organizational performance. Then it performed a survey targeting small- and medium-sized businesses in Gumi and grasped the relationship between R&D capability (study planning, vision goal adequacy, project management, commercialization of technologies) and learning organization capability (creation of constant learning opportunities, knowledge sharing and utilizing system, strategic learning leadership) by classifying them to seven independent variables, using regression analysis. Because this study grasped the effect of R&D learning organization activities on organizational performance, it is expected to promote forming R&D learning organization for active R&D activities and contribute to enhancing small and medium-sized businesses' recognition on the need of R&D activities.

  • This is a case study on organizational learning with action learning. It targets B industry belonging to Shoe manufacturer. We apply action learning techniques as consulting skills to promote the organization of specific learning activities. Action Learning solves the challenges faced by the company with the ability to enhance the member while participating in the program. Therefore, it is a good methodology to overcome the uncertainty environment. Through a case study, in the maturing process of a learning organization can see the conditions that are necessary for the ongoing maintenance of that identity, organizational learning activities. Findings to the continued operation of the enterprise learning organization suggest the establishment of a learning organization, and direction and strategic importance. Systems and learning environments should be built and then repeat the process of practice to master the new learning organization. It suggests to learn a new organizations operating methods that require repetition of the course of action.

The Influence of Learning Organization Building Factors on Psychological Capital and Innovative Behavior in Firms (기업의 학습조직 구축요인이 심리적 자본과 혁신행동에 미치는 영향)

  • This paper aims to examine the mediating effects of psychological capital on the relationships between learning organization and innovative behavior. 310 sheets of questionnaires were gathered from the organizational members of the companies in 5 cities, including Seoul and Pohang and analysed using structural equation modelling technique. The results show followings: First, the human factor of learning organization has a significant influence to the innovative behavior and the psychological capital. Second, structural factor of learning organization has a significant influence to the psychological capital but does not have a significant influence to the innovative behavior. Third, the mediating effect of psychological capital has a significant partial effect between human factor of learning organization and innovative behavior, and full effect between structural factor of learning organization and innovative behavior. The results of this study implies that some guideline could be used in promoting learning organization and making implementing strategy.

  • Recently, due to the continuous changes in the business environment and increased competition, enterprises are introducing technology management to increase their value and enhance their competitiveness. In this study, based on the structural equations model, we investigated the effects of the core success factors of knowledge management on job fidelity and organizational performance and the mediating effects of organizational learning. In addition, organizational culture and information technology and process were assumed to be the key factors affecting knowledge management, and organizational learning was represented by experimental learning, indirect learning, and shared learning. As a result, it was found that knowledge management positively affects business fidelity and organizational performance and, even when it is mediated by organizational learning, it positively affects business fidelity and organization performance directly or indirectly. Therefore, we were able to confirm the importance of utilizing knowledge management in companies and to suggest an appropriate application scope for applying knowledge management and organizational learning.

  • The knowledge management starts from the enhancement of learning capability in the members of the organization. The strategic change into the learning organization should be aligned with the change of organizational strategy, structure and processes. The study employed action learning methodology to transform the traditional organization into the learning one. The learning organization project has been successful thanks to the members' zeal and consensus to change the processes. However, not every learning team has been so successful. Some cases complained time consuming where others expect to be helpful for their incentives. The researchers concluded that the most important point for success of the learning organization project should be the support of top management.

  • This study was proceeded to find out the effect of learning orientation on the organizational cynicism by introducing organization-based self esteem as a moderating variable. For the experimental study 400 questionnaires were distributed to employees working in deluxe hotel in Seoul and 236 responses were used for the analysis. With SPSS statistical program reliability test, confirmatory factor analysis, and regression analysis were performed. The study found that the learning orientation had a significant effect on organizational cynicism and organizational-based self-esteem had a moderating effect between learning orientation and organizational cynicism.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest implications for the importance of shared leadership of leaders by analyzing the influence of learning orientation and unlearning on the recognition of leader's shared leadership and employees'. The questionnaire survey was conducted on the employees who work as knowledge workers in the domestic SMEs. A total of 387 questionnaires were collected using SPSS 24.0 statistical package. The results of this study were that the relationships between a leader's shared leadership and innovation behavior, shared leadership and learning orientation, and learning orientation and innovation behavior were positive. In addition, learning orientation mediated in the relationship between shared leadership and innovation behavior, and unlearning reinforced the relationship between shared leadership and learning orientation. The implication of this study is that the employees themselves need continuous reinforcement activities for active unlearning and learning orientation in order to improve the innovation behavior of the employees. In addition, the shared leadership of leaders in employees and organization is more important.
