  • After the pandemic, universities are shifting to distance learning, and the information use environment of libraries is rapidly changing. Therefore, there is a need for academic libraries to provide learning and research support services to users in response to these changes. This study analyzed the following contents, focusing on the contents of online services of academic libraries in order to understand the services provided by academic libraries after the pandemic, 1) the current status of online information services provided by 60 academic libraries at domestic and foreign and 2) the experience and requirements for using the online information services of academic library were investigated. As a result of the study, academic libraries at domestic and foreign responded to the untact environment by providing various online information services and users showed high experience and requirements for the electronic resource service and online user education service of academic libraries after the outbreak of the pandemic. Based on the analysis of the current status of online information services provided by domestic and foreign academic libraries after the outbreak of the pandemic, as well as the experiences and requirements of university students, several strategies were proposed to improve the quality of university education and library online information services and to plan services that respond to user needs.

  • This paper explores effectiveness of integrating Problem-Based Learning with Web 2.0 technologies in Computer subject matter education for improving quality of lessons and adapting of social needs for pre-service teachers. Students have studied about computer subject matter for 4 times. The process of leaning have recorded by Web 2.0 tools that is one of the cloud services. Also the students have written reflection journals about experiences of PBL process and results. The PBL process and reflection journals have been analyzed by qualitative data analysis. Conclusions are drawn as to potential for the use of Web 2.0 tools for PBL in computer subject matter. The results of the analyses showed the following: 1) Increasing the understanding of the computer subject matter education, 2) enhancing students' competence in using ICT potentially, 3) cultivating teaching and learning strategies on Web 2.0 environment and 4) enhancing competence of future teaching activities through experiencing e-portfolio as a performance-assessment tool.

  • This study examined the effects of Cyber University students' educational participatory motivation and life satisfaction on their satisfaction with their major. The subjects were 937 adult learners at one of the Cyber Universities in Seoul, Korea, who were over 20 years of age. The results were as follows. First, the main motivation of the Cyber University students was goal-oriented, followed by learning-oriented motivation and activity-oriented motivation. Second, there were significant differences in their educational participatory motivation, life satisfaction and major satisfaction according to their sex, age, occupation, marriage and major. Third, their life satisfaction and three types of educational participatory motivation had positive effects on the satisfaction with their major in the order of life satisfaction, goal-oriented motivation, learning-oriented motivation and activity-oriented motivation. These findings suggest that adult learners' quality of life and motivation to learn are very important for increasing the degree of satisfaction with their major.

  • This study analysed the programming attitude and degree of achievement as the 6 types of learning styles which is suggested by Grasha and Reichmann(1974) after a performance of the programming education using the Diki-3000 which is the teaching tools of the specific manipulative activities, in order to prepare the programming education method according to the characteristics of elementary school learners. As the result of the study, the programming attitude according to the 6 types of the learning styles has indicated more positiveness in the independence type than in the dependence type, in the competition type than in the cooperation type, in the participation type than in the avoidance type. In the side of the degree of the achievement, the independent, competition, and participation types indicated more positive than the other types. Also, as the result of an structured interview with learners, which was conducted for deep understanding, there was an understanding of differences of requests to the programming learning classified by the learning styles, and suggestion of a plan for improvement of the Diki-3000 programming in the aspect of an educational environment, teaching tools, teaching contents, and teaching methods in this study.

  • Teaching methods should focus on enabling the students to adopt an open mind towards new experiences and to be flexible to change. Moreover, their purpose lies in encouraging the students to build their ability to discern values so that they can make the right decisions when they are at a crossroad. However, traditional teaching methods were centered on textbooks and on the teachers. This type of teaching method needs to change so that the new teaching method will focus on the students themselves, taking levels of individual students into consideration to enable development of their creativity in line with the demands made during the 21st century, an era of information and globalization. Projected learning method is appropriate for the Physical Education (PE) classes where various activities aim to increase the level of cooperation among students and their investigative skills. Moreover, PE classes pay special attention to the practical aspect. Accordingly, this research makes recommendations for the class execution methods based on projected learning by improving the curriculum for the PE classes, and the effect of these methods are subject to verification.

  • A knowledge-based society values creative and independent individuals. This study depicts operational approaches to the effective utilization of school libraries as teaching/learning media center in order to support independent learning in relation to the way in which constructivist teaching-learning(CTL) improves learners' self-learning abilities. The result of this study seems to imply that self-learning based on constructivism is possible only when school libraries are managed as teaching/learning media centers and that the more variety there is in learning materials and when more direct interaction exists, there is more creativity and self-learning abilities are achieved in the learning process.

  • Many web-based learning systems have been developed and used widely. Most of the researches on web-based learning systems assume learners' active participation in the learning activity. However, learners do not always actively participate in the learning. This paper presents a novel self-regulated learning strategy to create a learning environment that encourages learner's active participation. We have derived sub-strategies that can be implemented as a web-based system. The derived sub-strategies have been implemented as an advanced web-base system and are verified by an empirical study.

  • Nowadays it is required for a student to have the ability to select right things in quantity of knowledge and constructing those in the right way for the individual. Because memorizing a little bit of everything doesn't allow a person to work up to their potential and be the person society wants. In the basis on the revised Information and Communications Technology guidelines at elementary and middle school, it is demanded to start education in elementary schools. Meanwhile elementary school students usually feel bored or find it difficult in learing through the existing program. So I will plan the lesson by Scratch program for programming education and see the effect of this after using that method.

  • The purpose of this study was to development a model of the practical skill instruction of the special subject using the problem-based learning in the technical high schools For the study, various literature researches were reviewed intensively about problem solving process, problem -based learning, and learning principals. The process of the practical skill instruction using the problem-based learning was composed with planning, executing, testing and evaluating. In this practical skill instruction using the problem-based learning, the teacher serves as a coach or guide for students' learning. As a facilitator, the teacher challenges, questions, and stimulates the students in their thinking, problem solving and self-directed study. In this process, students represent problem by thinking aloud, assuming responsibility for their own learning, having self-directed study as well as doing cooperative study, and as a result, education changes move from teacher-centered to student-centered.
