Development of a Framework for Semi-automatic Building Test Collection Specialized in Evaluating Relation Extraction between Technical Terminologies (기술용어 간 관계추출의 성능평가를 위한 반자동 테스트 컬렉션 구축 프레임워크 개발)

  • Due to the increase of the attention on relation extraction systems, the construction of test collections for assessing their performance has emerged as an important task. In this paper, we propose semi-automatic framework capable of constructing test collections for relation extraction on a large scale. Based on this framework, we develop a test collection which can assess the performance of various approaches to extracting relations between technical terminologies in scientific literatures. This framework can minimize the cost of constructing this kind of collections and reduce the intrinsic fluctuations which may come from the diversity in characteristics of collection developers. Furthermore, we can construct balanced and objective collections by means of controlling the selection process of seed documents and terminologies using the proposed framework.

  • An important task for any software project manager is to be able to predict and control project size. Unfortunately, there is comparatively little work that deals with the problem of building estimation methods for software size in fourth-generation languages systems. In this paper, we propose a new estimation method for estimating for software size based on minimum relative error(MRE) criterion. The characteristic of the proposed method is insensitive to the extreme values of the observed measures which can be obtained early in the development life cycle. In order to verify the performance of the proposed estimation method for software size in terms of both quality of fit and predictive quality, the experiments has been conducted for the dataset I and II, respectively. For the data set I and II, our proposed estimation method was shown to be superior to the traditional method LS and RLS in terms of both the quality of fit and predictive quality when applied to data obtained from actual software development projects.

  • Up until now, when a user search product information, the keyword-based search that mainly uses frequency of words or vocabulary information has been utilized in large. In the keyword-based research, the user should have to bear additional burden in order to search the displayed results manually once again because it shows those files that have no connection at all with the inquiries made by the user. To resolve such a problem, ontology has been emerged. In this paper, product search system using ontology was constructed directly and also tested how accurate search it does perform through the searching according to classification. To test this, about 40,000 product data of A discount store, which was operating on/off line discount stores, were constructed as database, and developmental environment for User Interface was tested by having developed the search system using JSP and PowerBuilder 9.0. Results from the test proved that the search method using Domain Ontology for product presented and designed in this paper was superior to the existing keyword-based search method.

Factors Influencing the Quality of Life of Stroke Patients : A Systematic Review (뇌졸중 환자의 삶의 질에 영향을 끼치는 요인: 체계적 문헌고찰)

  • Objective : To synthesize and identify the studies that delineated the relationship between quality of life and other factors in stroke patients in South Korea. Method : Electronic databases were searched, including KISS, NDSL, National Assembly Library and KmBase. The search terms included stroke, quality of life and correlation, relationship. Only papers published in Korean were included. Results : Twelve studies, from 256 references screened, were included. All studies were non-experimental and correlational analysis. A correlation coefficient between Quality of Life and ADL .293~.622, Depression -.804~-.533, Cognition .090~.610, Quality of Sleep .107, Quality of Satisfaction .367, Fatigue -.260, MAL(Quality of Movement .208, Amount of Use .364), Family Support .824, Pain -.306, Motivation for Rehabilitation .51~.86, Balance .740, Self-efficacy .388 were analyzed respectively. Conclusion : The quality of life of stroke patients was influenced by multiple factors. Occupational therapists need to consider the functions of upper extremity and activities of daily living as well as depression, cognition, sleep, family support, pain, and self efficacy to improve quality of life of stroke patients.

  • Mobile Ad-Hoc network is the network(MANET) of mobile nodes which has no fixed infrastructure, and mobile node in MANET can move and communicate freely each other. Recently, many researches for mobility management of mobile nodes are actively carried out by using the location information of mobile nodes. The location management is an important issue in MANET because location information of mobile node is frequently changed in MANET. In this paper, an adaptive mobility management scheme using fuzzy-logic based GQS by considering the mobile locality is proposed in order to manage location information of mobile nodes in MANET efficiently. The proposed scheme selects mobility databases adaptively from GQS by considering the locality of mobile node. The performance of the mobility management scheme proposed in this paper is evaluated by an analytic model and compared with that of existing UQS based mobility management scheme.

개선된 퍼지 ART 기반 RBF 네트워크와 PCA 알고리즘을 이용한 여권 인식 및 얼굴 인증

  • 본 논문에서는 출입국자 관리의 효율성과 제계적인 출입국 관리를 위하여 여권 코드를 자동으로 인식하고 위조 여권을 판별할 수 있는 여권 인식 및 얼굴 인증 방법을 제안한다. 여권 이미지가 기울어진 상태로 스캔되어 획득되어질 경우 개별 코드 인식과 얼굴 인증에 많은 영향을 미칠 수도 있으므로 기울기 보정은 문자 분할 및 인식, 얼굴 인증에 있어 매우 중요하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 여권 영상을 스미어링한 후, 추출된 문자열 중에서 가장 긴 문자열을 선택하고 이 문자열의 좌측과 우측 부분의 두께 중심을 연결하는 직선과 수평선과의 기울기를 이용하여 여권 영상에 대한 각도 보정을 수행한다. 여권 모드 추출은 소벨 연산자와 수평 스미어링, 8 방향 윤곽선 추적 알고리즘을 적용하여 여권 코드의 문자열 영역을 추출하고, 추출된 여권 코드 문자열 영역에 대해 반복 이지화 방법을 적용하여 코드의 문자열 영역을 이진화한다. 이진화된 문자열 영역에 대해 CDM 마스크를 적용하여 문자열의 코드들을 복원하고 8 방향 윤곽선 추적 알고리즘을 적용하여 개별 코드를 추출한다. 추출된 개별 코드 인식은 개선된 RBF 네트워크를 제안하여 적용한다. 제안된 RBF 네트워크는 퍼지 논리 접속 연산자를 이용하여 경계변수를 통적으로 조정하는 개선된 퍼지 ART 알고리즘을 제안하여 RBF 네트워크의 중간층으로 적용한다. 얼굴 인증을 위해서는 얼굴 인증에 가장 보편적으로 사용되는 PCA 알고리즘을 적용한다. PCA 알고리즘은 고차원의 벡터를 저 차원의 벡터로 감량하여 전체 입력 영상들의 직교적인 공분산행렬을 계산한 후 그것의 고유 값에 따라 각 영상의 고유벡터를 구하므로 PCA 알고리즘을 적용하여 얼굴의 고유 벡터를 구한 후 특징 벡터를 추출한다. 따라서 여권 영상에서 획득되어진 얼굴 영상의 특징벡터와 데이터베이스에 있는 얼굴 영상의 특징벡터와의 거리 값을 계산하여 사진 위조 여부를 판별한다. 제안된 여권 인식 및 얼굴 인증 방법의 성능을 평가를 위하여 원본 여권에서 얼굴 부분을 위조한 여권과 기울어진 여권 영상을 대상으로 실험한 결과, 제안된 방법이 여권의 코드 인식 및 얼굴 인증에 있어서 우수한 성능이 있음을 확인하였다.

Discovery Of Cyclic Association Rule With Loose Cycle and Error Cycle over Loose Cycle (오차를 허용하는 주기적 연관규칙 탐사를 통한 오차의 경향성에 관한 연구)

  • 주기적인 연관규칙은 타겟데이터베이스를 일정 단위시간으로 나누었을 때 연관규칙이 만족하는 구간이 일정한 주기마다 발생하는 패턴을 탐색하는 방법이다. 하지만, 이 방법은 엄격한 주기를 가지도록 하여 실제 데이터에 그대로 적용하기가 어려웠다. 예를 들이 편의점 데이터에서 매일 오전 7시-8시 사이에 주기적으로 발생하는 연관규칙을 발견할 때, 이러한 연관규칙을 주기적인 연관규칙이라고 한다. 하지만, 실제 데이터에서는 날씨와 같이 사람의 행동에 영향을 미치는 다른 요인 때문에 항상 일정한 주기를 가지는 연관규칙을 찾기는 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 주기가 일정하지 않은 연관규칙을 찾기 위해서 연관규칙의 주기성을 허용 오차를 포함하며 재정의하고, 오차를 허용하기 위한 탐색 알고리즘을 보완하였다. 반면에, 오차를 허용함으로써 오차를 허용하지 않는 경우보다 더 많은 주기성을 찾을 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 동일한 주기를 가지지만 오프셋이 다른 여러 개의 비슷한 주기가지 찾게 되어 사용자가 의미 있는 연관규칙을 찾는데 방해가 된다. 본 논문에서는 이를 해결하기 위해서 오차를 허용하는 주기적 연관규칙의 오차의 정도를 측정하기 위한 단위로 집중도(intensity)와 경향성(tendency)을 제안한다. 주기적 연관규칙이 매 주기마다 정확한 세그먼트에 나타나는 정도를 나타내는 집중도와, 최소 평균오차를 의미하는 경향성을 이용하여 유사한 주기들 중에서 대표주기만을 찾을 수 있도록 한다. 또한, 오차를 허용하는 주기적 연관규칙에서 오차가 주로 발생하는 패턴을 분석함으로써 고객들의 수요 경향성을 더 잘 파악할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 평소에는 매일 오진 7시∼8시에 나타나던 연관성이 지각하는 사람들이 같은 월요일에는 1시간 늦은 8시∼9시에 나타난다는 오타 정보까지 파악할 수 있다. 이러한 월요일마다 1시간 늦게 나타나는 오차의 경향성을 나타내는 오차 주기(error cyc1e)를 이용함으로써 고객들의 수요의 경향성을 좀 더 세밀한 부분까지 파악할 수 있게 해 준다.

  • We introduce a novel feature extraction scheme for online handwritten digit based on utilizing Zernike moment and angulation feature. The time sequential signal from mouse movement on the writing pad is described as a sequence of consecutive points on the x-y plane. So, we can create data-set which are successive and time-sequential pixel position data by preprocessing. Data preprocessed is used for Zernike moment and angulation feature extraction. this feature is scale-, translation-, and rotation-invariant. The extracted specific feature is fed to a BP(backpropagation) neural network, which in turn classifies it as one of the nine digits. In this paper, proposed method not noly show high recognition rate but also need less learning data for 200 handwritten digit data.

Analysis of Research on Compassion Satisfaction among Nurses (간호사의 공감만족에 대한 국내 연구 분석)

  • This study aimed to review and summarize the trends in research pertaining to the compassion satisfaction of nurses in Korea and to make suggestions for future research. For this study, RISS, KISS, NDSL, and National assembly library databases were searched using the key words 'nurse' and 'compassion satisfaction' or 'professional quality of life' and 'nurse'. Eighteen papers on compassion satisfaction of nurses were reviewed. This was a non-experimental study (100%), and included hospital nurses (100%). The general characteristics of interest pertaining to compassion satisfaction were age, position, career, educational status, and etc. The variables with respect to compassion satisfaction were burn out, compassion fatigue, job satisfaction, resilience, and etc. The findings of this study provide preliminary data on research trends in the compassion satisfaction of nurses. Nursing managers need to maximize strategies to enhance compassion satisfaction of nurses. A qualitative study and a development of a program focused on compassion satisfaction are recommended for future research.

A Systematic Review of the Variables Related to Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder in Firefighters (소방공무원의 외상 후 스트레스 장애 관련변인에 관한 체계적 문헌고찰)

  • This study examined the Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)-related variables of firefighters through a systematic literature review. Electronic databases were searched, including RISS, National Assembly Library, NDSL, KmBase. The search terms were PTSD, Post-Traumatic Stress, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and Firefighter. Eleven studies from 146 references screened were included. All studies were non-experimental and correlational analyses. The positive correlation factors were age, duration of work, traumatic events, frequency of mobilization, number and strength of traumatic events experienced, work burden, coping method, D-type personality, depression, and anger rumination. The negative correlation factors were resilience, social support, self-esteem. To improve the mental health of firefighters in the future, professional intervention programs should be constructed to improve resilience, social support, and self-esteem, which are protective factors of PTSD.
