This study is to represent the research trends of the resource organization in Korea through the analysis of 607 papers related with resource organization in 4,015 papers on journals of 6 library & information science societies from 1970 through 2010. The results of this study are as follows. The average yearly papers in the case of academic journals published 14.8 pieces. The year published the largest number of papers: 2005 and 2009. The order of the number of papers by the domain of resource organization: cataloging, classification, indexing and abstracting, metadata, subject analysis. And the research on basic principle or theory in the resource organization showed insufficient. The research on KDC classification, cataloging rule, metadata element has are usually presented for improvements. But most of the research is not empirical analysis or objective assessment but subjective judgments of the researchers.

한국과학기술정보연구원(KISTI)은 국내 과학기술자의 연구를 돕기 위해 국내외의 여러 기관으로부터 정기적, 또는 비정기적으로 발간되는 학술지, 연구보고서, 특허 및 각종 동향, 분석 정보를 수집하여 서비스하고 있다. 국내에서 생산되는 정보는 그 발생양이 방대하지 않고 일정 수준 이상의 서지정보를 담고 있으며 원문정보까지 제공이 가능하기 때문에 정보의 질이 비교적 높은 편이나, 해외에서 수집되는 학술 정보는 데이터 처리량이 방대하기 때문에 처리시간이 오래 걸릴 뿐만 아니라, 기본적인 서지 정보만을 담고 있어 원문 서비스나 초록 및 주제 분류 등의 부가적인 서비스를 위해서는 추가적인 데이터 가공이 필수적이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 데이터 처리 속도와 이용자 중심의 해외학술정보의 원문 및 부가 서비스 제공 등을 고려한 데이터 가공 방법에 대해 연구한다.

The purpose of this study is to identify international research trends of SDGs by analyzing the networks among the 17 goals of the SDGs. The research scope covers the World Development and the Journal of Development Studies which are the top impact journals in the field of international development. The interconnected 17 SDGs are divided into five categories of people, planet, partnership, peace and prosperity. In this study, we analyzed the abstracts of the papers of the above two journals using Atlas.ti, a qualitative analysis software, in order to identify the connections between 17 goals. The findings from the analysis of 730 abstracts published in two journals since 2015 are summarized as follows. First, issues related to gender have featured prominently in both journals. Second, China and India have been the most popular case countries in both journals. In particular south-south cooperation led by China and India has been dealt with by the World Development. Thirdly, both journals have their own biases towards to certain SDGs. For instance, the World Development have not had many articles on SDG 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17. The SDGs closely associated with the environment and climate change such as 6, 12, 13, 14, and 15 have also been sidelined by the Journal of Development Studies. More balanced research paying attention to all the SDGs in an integrated and balanced manner is required to provide evidence and knowledge conducive to realizing the transformative vision of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

As a major factor for efficient management and retrieval of the articles in databases, keywords are classified into uncontrolled keywords and controlled keywords. Most of Korean scholarly databases fail to provide controlled vocabularies to indexing research articles which help users to retrieve relevant papers exhaustively. In this paper, we carried out automatic descriptor assignment experiments to Korean articles using automatic classifiers learned with descriptors in international database. The results of the experiments show that the classifier learning with descriptors in international database can potentially offer controlled vocabularies to Korean scholarly articles having English s. Also, we sought to improve the performance of automatic descriptor assignment using various classifiers and combination of them.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the research trend of transformational leadership published in domestic journals in the last 10 years and to find some implications for future research. For this purpose, 337 research papers on transformational leadership from 2007 to 2016 were reviewed. This study used descriptive statistics by frequency and percentage and a network text analysis method. The findings of the study are as follows. First, the annual average number of papers published was 33. Second, 'human resource management research' was the most common topic. Third, most of the research subjects were business employees. Fourth, the research method trend analysis showed that the highest proportion was in the quantitative research. Fifth, 'transactional leadership' showed the highest frequency as a result of analyzing the keywords presented in the abstract of the paper. Sixth, as a result of analyzing the network texts, those having the trend of being analyzed with a close connections were 'transactional leadership', which had the highest connection to transformational leadership, showing the closest relationship with 'role satisfaction'.

This study explored research trends by investigating articles published in the Journal of Korean Society of Fashion Design from 2001 through 2015. English key words and abstracts were analyzed using text mining and topic modeling techniques. The findings are as followings. By the text mining technique, 183 core terms, appeared more than 30 times, were derived from 7137 words used in total 338 articles' key words and abstracts. 'Fashion' and 'design' showed the highest frequency rate. After that, the well-received topic modeling technique, LDA, was applied to the collected data sets. Several distinct sub-research domains strongly tied with the previous fashion design field, except for topics such as fashion brand marketing and digital technology, were extracted. It was observed that there are the growing and declining trends in the research topics. Based on findings, implication, limitation, and future research questions were presented.

This study aims to diagnose research trends and to deduct implications from meta analysis of entrepreneurship studies in the Asia Pacific Journal of Small Business (APJSB), one of the most well-known academic journals in management and entrepreneurship field in Korea. Frequency and crossover analysis are executed in multi-dimensions by time period, topic, author, research level, data, and methodology by complete enumeration of every published paper for 40 years in APJSB which included core terms of entrepreneurship in its title, abstract, or keywords. From objective and quantitative schematization of research trends and characteristics of entrepreneurship studies, novel improvement plans which are highly applicable in research fields are suggested such as diversification of studies from ecosystem perspective, identification of authors, and standardized system of extended abstract of research papers. Implications and suggestions derived from the results propose future research directions and tasks when entrepreneurship studies have been rapidly increased. Furthermore, the innovation plans of management system of journals and papers are expected to contribute promotion of entire studies by significantly reducing trial and error, and inefficiency in research process.

This paper aims to find out the kinds of sub-topics that were researched in relation to Information Literacy (IL). The text mining method was applied to the articles with information literacy' in the fields of the descriptor, title and in the LISA Database. Also, out of 214 journals that published these articles, those with the top ten highest frequencies were listed and analyzed. Research results show that 908 articles on information literacy were published in 214 journals and User training' and Students' were major descriptors in the sub-topic area of information literacy. Also, Reference Services Review and The Journal of Academic Librarianship are two key journals in IL research as they have the highest frequency of related articles and have shown increasing trends.

The availability and use (citedness) of Korean medical journals are measured based on the bibliometric data of 82 journals evaluated by the Korean Association of Medical Journal Editors between 1997 and 1999. A Korean medical journal is held on the average by one half of Korean medical libraries investigated. Only 10 journals (12.2%) are covered in any of 36 abstract and index databases in the field of medicine searchable through DIALOG. The journal self-citation rate is 3.402%. 1.092% of papers are cited at least once by SCI journal papers within 3 years after publication. The average SCI impact factor of Korean medical journals is 0.111, However, the impact factor of MEDLINE or SCISearch journals is 10 times higher. The results show that the Korean medical journals are not easily available domestically and internationally. They are hardly cited by Korean colleagues or by foreign scholars either.

Advances in technology are bringing a lot of change.. Due to Korea's economic growth, domestic companies are expanding overseas unlike in the past.. Recently, many small and medium-sized companies, in addition to large companies, are making inroads in Southeast Asian markets thanks to the Korean Wave. This study used the international academic database scopus to identify trends in the company's overseas expansion strategy. A search was conducted under the title of the word overseas advancement strategy, which secured a total of 153 papers. Abstracts of the research paper were refined for analysis and then analyzed using KoNLP package. As a result, 10 important keywords were derived. The purpose of this study is to identify the research trends of companies in overseas market through these results. This study provides a guideline for future research on overseas expansion strategies.
