In this article, the 664 academic articles are examined in terms of the characteristics of the researchers, the field of comics studies, the research theme and the research methodology. This study is on the basis of the recognition that there have been no consensus on what the core essence of comics studies is. As a result, there are a few articles on the academic identity of the comics studies. The comics studies have not consider the distinctive characteristics of the Korean comics significantly. In Korea, over 50% of the academic articles on the comics have been published by comics scholarships in the field of pedagogy and human sciences. Since the 1990's, comics studies have started to consider the value of the comics positively. The comics text studies also have increased since the 1990's in Korea. The comics studies on the comics policy and comics industries have been increased since 2000. The rise of comics studies is concomitant with the increased awareness of comics in Korea. The article concludes that the comics studies need to become an independent academic discipline in the future. The interdisciplinary studies on the comics is necessary to study the diverse aspects of the comics. In addition, the infrastructure for the comics studies should be established in order to improve the comics studies.

  • Concepts in mathematics have been formulated for unifying and abstractizing materials in mathematics. In this procedure, usually some developments happen by necessity as well as for their own rights, so that various interesting materials can be produced as byproducts. These byproducts can also be established by themselves mathematically, which is called byproduct mathematization (sub-mathematization). As result, mathematization and its byproduct mathematization interrelated to be developed to obtain interesting results and concepts in mathematics. In this paper, we provide explicit examples:the mathematization is the continuity of trigonometric functions, while its byproduct mathematization is various trigonometric identities. This suggestion for explaining and showing mathematization as well as its byproduct mathematization enhance students to understand trigonometric functions and their related interesting materials.

  • Because a development figure is treated restrictively in elementary school, not only there are brought out the concept image, but also the definition of the development figure in textbook in not unique. Furthermore, since the comparison and analysis of 'definition element' between the materials in textbook are nor carried out, its educational value as well as the teaching for concepts and objectives does not give rise to public discussion. In this note, we will investigate the definition and teaching of the development figure in Korea and Japan. And through three viewpoints of its definition and related debate, we will consider the fundamental understanding and objectiveness of a development figure, and suggest its mathematical application. This study will promote teachers's critical and didactical insight for the didactical transposition.

  • Modern society is the age of the information. As new information is springing up every day and pace of change becomes faster, the importance of communication skills is growing. The recent mathematics education is recognized as not a fragmentary mathematical knowledge or results of the learning, but a procedure of mathematical thinking, and the effective expression skill of their mathematical ideas and the ability to forward it to others are regarded very serious. As the method of mathematics evaluation, mathematical essay is introduced to replace the existing multiple-choice written test. This method assess the ability which students have, that express the reorganized knowledge and information according to given situation by themselves. Ultimately, it is expected to help that students get the higher order thinking skills such as logical thinking and creativity. However, definition of elementary mathematical essay is unclear, and proper teaching methods is lacking for each stage of elementary school students. Thus, in this paper, I have defined the concept of elementary mathematical essay and made a foundation of elementary mathematical essay research, then researched about the effective utilization of elementary mathematical essay using school education. Also elementary mathematical essay teaching-learning materials is developed and applied to analyzed the students' responses. Using this program, in real elementary school education, the implications has deduced.

  • Agricultural meteorology has advanced during the last 100 years from a descriptive to a quantitative science using physical and biological principles. The agricultural community is becoming more aware that using climate and weather information will improve their profitability and this will no doubt increase the demand for agrometeorological services. Hence it is timely that the needs and perspectives for agrometeorology in the 21$^{21}$ Century are grouped under two major headings: agrometeorological services for agricultural production and agrometeorological support systems for such services. Emphasis must be placed on the components of such support systems comprising of data, research, policies and training/education/extension. As Monteith (2000) mentioned, food supplies ultimately depend upon the skill with which farmers ran exploit the potential of good weather and minimize the impact of bad weather. Recent developments in instrumentation, data management systems, climate prediction, crop modelling, dissemination of agrometeorological information etc., provide agrometeorologists the tools necessary help the farmers improve such skills. The future for operational applications of agricultural meteorology appears bright and such applications could contribute substantially to promote sustainable agriculture and alleviate poverty.
