(1) School-age children with a lower level of mother attachment perceived higher level of loneliness than children with a higher level of mother attachment. And school-age children with a higher level of rejection sensitivity perceived higher level of loneliness than children with a lower level of rejection sensitivity. The purpose of this study was to examine the mediation effect of peer attachment on the relationship between children's depression and mother attachment. The respondents in this study were 697 school aged children attending elementary schools in Daegu and Gyeongbuk Province. Questionnaires, which required self-reporting by children, were used to investigate mother attachment, peer attachment and depression. The collected data were analyzed by Structural Equation Modeling(SEM) and Sobel test using AMOS 8.0, and SPSS 15.0. The results of the study were as follows. Structural Equation Modeling(SEM) revealed that peer attachment partially mediated the relationship between mother attachment and depression. First, mother attachment had a direct effect on peer attachment. Second, peer attachment had a direct effect on depression. Third, mother attachment had an indirect effect on depression as a mediated effect of peer attachment.

This study was conducted to provide basic data about the depression of parents with school-aged children by identifying the actor and partner effects of family interaction and self-esteem on depression among parents with school-aged children. Data on 1,475 pairs from the Wave 7 Panel Study on Korean Children were analyzed by using the SPSS 18.0 program and the AMOS 18.0 program. The SPPC consisted of 6 domains, self-perception(scholastic competence, social acceptance, athletic competence, physical appearance, behavioral conduct and global self-worth). The collected data were analyzed by means of MANOVA, Repeated measures MANOVA, and Multiple Regression Analysis(using SPSS PC(19.0 version). The results were as follows. (1) Among the domain specific areas of self-perception, global self worth scored the highest amongst the other subscales(scholastic competence, social acceptance, athletic competence, behavioral conduct and global self-worth) in both boys and girls. (2) Level of depression in school children differed according to sex and domain specific self-perception which was social acceptance, physical appearance, behavioral conduct and global self worth. Questionnaires were used to investigate the children's depression, school adjustment and parental behavior. Data were analyzed by SPSS-WIN program, including mean, standard deviation, correlational analysis, ANOVA, and regression. Results were as follows. (1) The children who perceived their parents' support and warmth as higher were less depressive than those who perceived them as lower. (2) The children who were good at school were less depressive than those who were not. (3) There were interaction effects of the children's school adjustment and parental behavior perceived by children on their depression. The regression analysis showed that the children's school adjustment was more influential on the depression of school aged children than the parental behavior perceived by children.

The participants of this study were 215 students in the 5th and 6th grades and their mothers residing in Daegu. Collected data were analyzed using t-test, paired t-test, ANOV A, Scheffe's test, and hierarchical multiple regression. Findings of this study are as follows: 1. School-aged children perceived that their maternal grandmothers rendered more emotional and informational support than their paternal grandmothers. 2. Paternal grandmother's social support as perceived by the grandchild varied significantly with the frequency of face-to-face contact, the frequency of phone contact, and the friendship between the paternal grandmother and the mother. Maternal grandmother's social support as perceived by the grandchild, on the other hand, varied significantly by the level of grandmother's education, the frequency of face-to-face contact, and the frequency of phone contact. 3. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of the spread of a new type of coronavirus infection (COVID-19) on the mental state in school-age children and parents focusing on the aspects of sleep disorders and depression. A questionnaire survey was conducted for 123 parents and 108 school-age children who visited Department of Pediatric Dentistry, Kyung Hee University Dental Hospital at Gangdong from April 2, 2020 through April 25, 2020, via the direct writing method. Participants were assessed with Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index, Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)-7, Center for Epidemiology Scale for Depression. Logistic regressions were used with a level of significance of 5%. The prevalence of GAD, depression, and poor sleep in parents were 34.1%, 17.1% and 44.7%, respectively. The prevalence of GAD in children was 20.4%. Logistic regression showed that stress from Emergency Alert Messages about COVID-19 was associated with GAD and depression in parents. In children, the degree of emotional change after COVID-19 was associated with GAD. This study confirmed that there was a change in the psychological status of children and guardians due to the epidemic of coronavirus disease-2019, and it would be necessary to consider their psychological status during dental treatment.

The data were analyzed by t-test, Pearson's correlation, simple regression, enter regression(using SPSS 12.1). Major findings were as follows: (1) Parents' conflict was significantly associated with children's depression in low income and non-low income family. (2) Parents' conflict was significantly associated with parents' child-rearing in low income and non-low income family.
