Relationship between teacher's game recognition types and the acceptance of student game use in school (학교 장면에서 교사의 게임 인식 유형과 학생 게임 이용 수용도의 관계)

  • This study was conducted to understand the relationship between teacher's game recognition types and the acceptance of student game use in school. We surveyed 250 elementary/middle/high school teachers, school counselors and professional counselors. Four game recognition types have differences in gender, age, game experience, attitude toward game, response to game, and the evaluation of academic influence. When we compared the acceptance of student game use according to teacher's game recognition types, the differences in 'need for supervision', 'willingness to use', 'concern and monitoring' and 'acceptance as alternative activities' were identified. However, all types showed low scores of 'acceptance efficacy'. Finally, we discussed what kind of support would be effective to increase the acceptance of game use in school.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate how teachers' acceptance of digital games is constructed in the school context and what factors influence teachers' acceptance. To do this, we conducted a survey on teachers, school counselors, and professional counselors in August 2016. A total of 250 data were analyzed. As a result, it was confirmed that the teachers' acceptance of digital game is composed of 5 factors - need for supervision, willingness to use, concern & monitoring, acceptance as alternative activities, acceptance efficacy. As a result of multi-variate multiple regression analysis, it was found that the teacher's age, the 2 factors of digital media literacy, the teacher's attitude toward student's digital game usage, and teacher's evaluation of the impact of digital games on school achievement have different effects on the 5 factors of teachers' acceptance. This study is meaningful to identify how teachers' acceptance of digital games is constructed and to explore the main factors affecting teachers' acceptance of digital games.

  • 본 논문에서는 길을 기반으로 하여 학습자 스스로 학습의 장면을 결정하고, 학습의 형태를 계획하여 학습을 주도적으로 이끌어 낼 수 있도록 하는 학습자 중심의 자기주도적 학습 환경을 선계 및 구현하였다. 학습 설계 대상은 학습자와 길 사이의 동적 상호작용을 통하여 지필 학습방법으로 학습하기 힘들었던 단원인 고등학교 공통수학의 삼각함수를 선택하였다. 학습자가 학습장면에서 직접 실행해 보고 도형을 이동시켜 변화하는 현상을 관찰하고 탐구함으로써 실시간으로 피드백이 가능하여 학습의 효과를 극대화하였으며 학습자에 대한 정보와 학습의 상태는 DB를 이용하여 관리하도록 하였고 형성평가와 총괄평가는 DB를 이용하도록 설계하였다.

  • 영화 <코러스>에서 아이들이 학교에서 쫓겨나는 선생님을 위해 종이비행기에 편지를 써서 창밖으로 날리는 장면은 관객들에게 많은 감동을 주었다. 언제부터인지 알 수는 없지만 종이비행기는 사람들의 희망을 담아 하늘로 전달하는 메신저의 역할을 하고 있다. 그래서 종종 꿈이 실현되기를 바라는 마음에서 종이비행기를 날리는 행사가 진행되기도 한다. 하지만 종이접기가 종이비행기처럼 상징적 의미가 아니라 실제로 세상의 많은 것을 바꿔놓고 있다. 그렇다면 종이접기가 어떻게 세상을 바꿔 놓고 있을까?

Validation of Korean short version of the Big Five Questionnaire for children (한국어판 아동용 간편 5요인 성격질문지(K-BFQC-SF) 타당화 연구)

  • This study examined the reliability and validity of the Korean short version of the Big-Five Questionnaire for children, a instrument designed to measure Big-Five personality domains of elementary school students. The short Big-Five Questionnaire for children was composed of 15 items based on exploratory factor analyses on th data from 5th and 6th grade elementary school students(N=278). Confirmatory factor analyses revealed evidence of structural validity of the Korean short version BFQ-C. The correlations of K-BFQC-SF with the criteria of depression, academic achievement, career maturity were assessed to verify criterion-related validity. The correlation coefficients were correspondent to the results of previous studies. This study is meaningful in that it is sufficient to assess five factor personality domains in school settings.

  • In this paper, we studied accident-aware smart streetlights to prevent secondary accidents when driving on highways. It used Arduino and sensors to inform drivers of weather conditions, incorporated functions such as LED brightness control according to sunlight and night driving vehicles, and used Raspberry Pi camera OpenCV to learn various traffic accidents, natural disasters, and wildlife.

Exploring Korean Adults' Long-Term Memory of School Science Education (학교 과학교육에 대한 한국 성인의 장기기억에 대한 탐색)

  • 본 연구는 우리 나라의 성인들이 자신의 초중등 학교 시절 경험하였던 학교 과학교육에 대해 어떤 종류의 즐거운 혹은 괴로운 기억들을 현재까지 갖고 있는가를 탐색하였다. 성인들은 오래 전 경험하였던 매우 인상적인 활동이나 장면들을 통해 학교 과학교육을 기억할 것이고, 이러한 기억은 그들의 학교 과학교육에 대한 전반적인 태도에 결정적인 역할을 할 것이다. 따라서 성인들의 학교 과학교육에 대한 이러한 기억들을 살펴보면, 학교 과학교육의 특징을 이해하고 장기적으로 학교 과학교육을 보다 즐거운 경험의 장으로 만드는 데 도움이 될 것이다. 본 연구는 소규모의 설문 조사를 통해 이루어졌으며, 설문 대상은 대구지역의 30-50대 성인 88명이었다. 설문은 현재 과학과 관련된 특정한 직업을 갖고 있지 않은 사람을 대상으로 하였으며, 설문에서 응답자들은 자신들의 초중등 학교 과학교육을 받으면서 가장 즐거웠던 기억과 가장 괴로웠던 기억이 구체적으로 무엇이며 이러한 경험은 초중고 어느 때이었는가를 응답하였다. 성인들이 가장 즐거웠던 기억으로 지적한 것은 실험 실습 활동(65.9%), 야외학습 활동(19.3%) 등으로 전통적인 교실수업 이외의 활동이 약 86%로 나타났다. 그리고 효과적인 교실수업, 교사의 인성적 특징, 과학전람회 참가 등의 경험을 언급한 경우도 부분적으로 있었다. 성인들이 가장 괴로웠던 기억으로 지적한 것은 따분한 교실수업(51.1%), 실험 실습 활동의 부정적인 측면(28.4%) 등으로 나타났으며, 부분적으로 과다한 숙제, 교사의 인성적 특징, 야외학습 활동, 과학수업의 부재 등을 지적한 경우도 있었다. 또한 전체적으로 즐거웠던 기억은 국민학교 시절의 경험에서(56.8%), 반면 괴로웠던 기억은 고등학교 시절의 경험에서(44.3%) 많이 나타났다. 특히, "개구리 해부 실험" 의 경우, 7명이 가장 즐거웠던 기억으로 8명은 가장 괴로웠던 기억으로 언급하여 매우 상반된 견해를 나타냈다. 따라서 동일한 활동일지라도 학생들에게는 매우 상반된 경험으로 작용하게 되며, 이 경우 생명체에 대한 과학실험의 윤리적 문제와 이에 대한 갈등을 분명하게 드러냈다.

Developmental Research on Parent Education Program for Home-School Collaboration (청소년기 문제 예방을 위한 학교-가정 연계 프로그램 개발 - 학교기반의 부모교육 프로그램을 중심으로 -)

  • Although experts have called for increased collaboration between families and school systems, the actual programs for such efforts were not introduced. Thus, this study attemps to develop school-based parent education program for home-school collabration. PEP was developed through the circular process, which consist of planning, design, enactment, and evaluation. The group process of PEP was analyzed qualitatively and the effectiveness of outcomes was examined by nonparametric statistical analysis. Two factors contributed to success of PEP were as follows: 1) Increased homogenities, such as children's developmental stage, same school enrollment, and sense of community belongingness. 2) Consistency and continuity between PEP and Mental Health Prevention Program for students. Through the PEP based on these factors, parents' strong commitment was established and tangible results such as increased knowlege and fluent coping skills regarding children's problematic behaviors were found. Implications for home-school collaboration were explored, as are recommendations for how PEP can be prepared to link between families and schools.

  • Counseling in Korea has developed based on school counseling. School is the first place where counseling started in Korea. Young people in school live today preparing for the future. In order to make them be prepared so that they can function themselves properly in the future, roles of school counselors are very important. School counselors also take the role to help the young students prepare their life well. For the purpose, it is needed to find out what capabilities are required to make them prospect the changes in the future and adopt themselves well to the changing future. This study intends to investigate how school counseling reacts to the changing environment. First of all, it discusses outlook of changes in future society and future vocations, and required model human resources in future society. Then, it identifies how school counseling should be made to help the preparation and what kind of role it should take for the purpose.

  • This study focuses the architectural planning solution and guiding principle for English only classroom spatial layout and operation program to establish English educational environment proper to English curriculum contents and methodology by the grade level of elementary school. To accomplish this purpose of the study, this study proceeds as follows. First, the English facility condition such as type of classroom, retainment and floor space were researched and analyzed through the nationwide survey for elementary schools to understand English educational environment. Second, the study analyzes English educational procedures, contents and methodology and most typical educational scenes, facilities and equipments are extracted through the analysis. Finally, the study pursues the spatial layout factors and proposes the architectural planning principle for English only classroom to provide English educational environment per its size and type.
