The purpose of this study is to compare the job satisfaction of school library employees with independent variables. and to discern the variables that cause the greatest impact on job satisfaction. The study's 254 questionaries were collected from December 1, 2006 to December 31, 2006 from 327 school library employees. In this study, it is proved that there are differences between the job satisfaction of school library employees and independent variables: gender, the level of school library, length of service. and employment style. Tips for the inherent roles of school library media center were Provided based on inadequacies and other findings revealed through this study.

The purpose of this study is to improve the evaluation system of school libraries in Korea. Major issues to improve the evaluation system were identified through school library evaluations and an analysis of the existing evaluation system of the Committee on Library and Information Policy. The issues include evaluation organizations, purposes of evaluation, selection of objects, evaluation period length, systems of evaluation, and ways to receive results. Alternatives for improving the evaluation system were selected through surveys and professional consultation. Finally this study proposed a more effective evaluation system which emphasizes the self-regulation and responsibility of provincial education offices in Korea.

지식기반사회와 정보홍수시대로 갈수록, 도서관의 존속여부에 대한 고민으로 도서관경영의 중요성은 심화되며, 관련 연구가 많이 이루어지고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 동시출현단어 분석을 통해 도서관경영 분야의 지적구조를 분석하였다. 데이터 수집은 2001~2013년도까지 한국연구재단에 등재된 5개의 문헌정보학 관련 학회지를 대상으로 하였으며, 해당 논문 수는 413건이다. 데이터 처리후 군집분석을 실시하여 9개의 군집을 형성하였으며, 해당 군집은 장서개발, 디지털도서관, 공공도서관, 마케팅 및 조직관리, 국립중앙도서관 및 작은도서관, 인사관리(직무/자격제도), 대학도서관, 학교도서관, 서비스 품질평가이다. 이러한 연구 결과는 기존의 도서관경영 분야의 주제영역과 비교하였다.

The purpose of this study is to develop the evaluation indicators of school libraries in Korea. To do this, the indicators were extracted from an analysis of seven foregoing studies. The draft of evaluation indicators was made after reviewing the validity of each indicator according to the criteria: quantifiability, objectivity and possibility of obtaining evaluation materials. The feasibility of the standards and measures used by the Committee on Library and Information Policy was examined to improve the validity of new indicators. To decide the distribution of marks for evaluations, the opinions of teacher librarians and professionals on the importance of indicators was surveyed, the evaluation indicators used by the Committee on Library and Information Policy were analyzed, and an intensive review was done by professionals. A draft of an evaluation index with thirty indicators in six categories is proposed.

The purpose of this study was to elicit the priority of the index of the operation evaluation of the school library, and to present measures for improvement of the evaluation index that reflects the project sites. To this end, the school library evaluation index was analyzed by applying the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) analysis method to teacher librarians who are the representative personnel of the school library. According to the research, the priority of the upper tier evaluation areas was human resources, library services, information resources, library management, facilities and environment, and the priority of the lower tier evaluation items was human resource allocation, human resources expertise, reading education, information literacy education, efforts to activate education, book composition snowflake, the latest book, budget, facility access, book status, appropriateness of facilities and facilities, management plan, proximity accessibility, PR and marketing, school library steering committee, cooperation, use of materials current status. The conclusions drawn from this study could be used as basic data in the application of fieldworked school library assessment indicators.

The purpose of this paper is to discuss marketing strategies for school library. The writer divided marketing environment of school library into macro-external environment, micro-external environment, substantial environment, and operational environment. And analyzed characteristics of four target audiences-school administrator, teachers, students, and parents and local society-for school library marketing and suggested approach strategies to each target audiences. Four communication strategies of school library media specialist for effective marketing are discussed ; administrative communication, behavioral communication, cooperative communication, and social communication.

KSLA(Korea School Library Association) is a representative professional association related to school libraries and teacher librarians in Korea. This study tried to propose the strategic plan of KSLA. To do this, major works of KSLA are defined after analyzing current issues of school libraries and the internal environment. Among them, 12 works are selected as strategic works. The survey was carried out to decide which works are regarded as more important or less. After all, this study proposed the strategic plan for 4 works, which are the revision of school libraries promotion law, the revision of elementary and secondary education law, the investigation of teacher librarians' grievance cases and the collection of outstanding educational cases in school libraries.

This study was conducted to propose the improvements by analyzing the actual state of Education Information Disclosure related to the school libraries of elementary and middle schools and by grasping its problems. In order to do that, we examined the Education Information Disclosure standards in school libraries in Korea. The actual state of information disclosure on 13 items related to school libraries was analyzed, using S High School in Seoul as a case study. In addition, in understanding the values of school libraries easily and informing them exactly through Education Information Disclosure, it was judged that the forms and guides for disclosure and the level of school introduction services were somewhat insufficient. On the basis of that, some improvements were proposed, which could help to make the operation and management of Education Information Disclosure in school libraries more efficient.

The purpose of this study is to find ways to improve the evaluation system of school library operation whose participation rate is getting lower. We conducted analyzing the current status of operating evaluation of school libraries through literature search. In doing so, questionnaire method was conducted to inquire the recognition of the 205 staff members of school libraries. The outcome of the survey shows that the participation rate of operating evaluation of school libraries decreased from 22.2% in 2009 to 7.2% in 2017. The validity of the quantitative evaluation method was significantly low at 2.84 and the validity of the qualitative evaluation method was 2.97. The average score of the validity index for 'Establishing the annual operation plan' was the highest at 3.90, and that of 'Community service' was the lowest at 2.27. The biggest reason for not participating in the evaluation was due to the staff's high workload. There is a need to seek ways to improve the evaluation index and ways to participate since the result shows very low awareness of the school library evaluation. Through this study, it is expected that the school library evaluation will become the foundation for effective revitalization of school library operation.
