Trends in technology of diesel particulate trap system (디젤 입자상 물질 필터 트랩 시스템의 기술동향)

  • 디젤자동차로부터 배출되는 입자상 물질은 건강에 나쁘기 때문에 1980년에 미국환경보호청(EPA)에 의해서 디젤승용차 및 디젤 소형트럭의 입자상 물질 규제가 제정되고 이의 대책으로서 엔진 개조와 병행해서 후처리장치, 주로 입자상 물질 트랩 시스템의 개발이 미국, 유럽, 일본에서 시작되었다. 트랩시스템은 아직 개발단계에 있고 여러가지로 개발과 개량이 계속되고 있다. 여기에서는 그들의 개발의 동향을 소개한다. 1. 입자상 물질 트랩 시스템. 2. 입자상 물질 트랩 시스템의 개발 상황.

  • In this paper, a design approach of LC trap filter for output side harmonic reduction of single phase NPC multilevel inverter is proposed, and THD of the output voltage and harmonic FFT of the output current are analyzed. The proposed filter consists of a conventional LCR filter cascaded with an LC trap filter and it is tuned to inverter switching frequency. A NPC multilevel inverter inverter is used an inverter system for high power application and DSP(TMS320C31) is used for the controller. The effectiveness of the proposed system confirmed through simulation and experimental results.

  • In order to reduce particulate emissions from diesel vehicles, mathematical model is established and analyzed on ceramic wall-flow monolith filter. A wall-flow monolith filter placed in the exhaust stream of a diesel engine can effectively limit the emission of diesel particulates through the monolith. The accumulated particulates can then be periodically combusted inside the monolith by directing hot gas to the monolith while normal engine exhaust is routed around the monolith system. The resulting low flow rates through the monolith require consideration of gas dynamics through the channels as well as particulate combustion to analyze this regeneration process. A mathematical model of the regeneration is formulated as a system of nonlinear partial differential equations describing the conservation of mass, momentum and energy. Numerical solutions are obtained by using a finite difference techniques for the spatial discretization. So we can use filter simulation program for the purpose of filter design and actual filter regeneration

  • Urgent increasing of the vehicles influence air pollution and the damage of the plants and animals. Particularly, exhaust-ing particulate of diesel vehicles give serious effect to human life. Therefore, this study aim to reduce amount of particulate and to contribute developing after-treatment in diesel engine. Through the experimental and theoretical study about charac-teristics of the electric heat regeneration, various results are obtained.

  • A mathematical model for wall-flow monolith ceramic diesel particulate filter was developed in order to describe the processes which take place in the filter during regeneration. The major output of the model comprises ceramic wall temperature and regeneration time(soot reduction). Various numerical tests were performed to demonstrate how the gas oxygen concentration, flow rate and the initial particulate trap loading affect the regeneration time and peak trap temperature. The model is shown to b in reasonable agreement with the published experimental results. This model can be applied to predict the thermal shock failure due to high temperature during combustion regeneration process.

  • The exhaust emissions from diesel vehicle are known to be harmful to human health and environment. Recently, one of the most environment problems is particulate matter. In this study, through the actual exper iment and heat transfer of exhaust pipe in light duty diesel engine equipped with the ceramic filter trap of throttling type, following results are obtained. 1. In case of light duty diesel engine equipped with ceramic filter trap of throttling type, Power and torque of engine were decreased about 5%, compared with the case without trap system. It means that was not so much effect on base engine performance.2. If the length of exhaust pipe when equipping with ceramic filter trap is suitably controlled, the range of regeneration will be expand much more.3. Particulate matter reduction efficiency of ceramic filter trap system was about 70%-80%, so it was proved a good system to reduce particulate matter.In experiment, test was conducted to estimate engine emission in 2,476cc light duty diesel engine which was equipped with ceramic filter trap.

  • Filtering genes that do not appear to contribute to regulation prior to the statistical analysis of time course gene expression data can reduce the dimensions of data and the possibility of misinterpretation due to noise or lack of variation. In this paper, we compare six different functions for filtering genes with flat pattern under the percentile criterion on an observed sample and that on a bootstrap sample. The result of applying to the yeast cell cycle data shows that the variance function is most similar in both samples.

  • SNMP is a simple, application layer protocol and that is sending and receiving the management information among network devices. It exchanges the management information by the PDUs that have the management information names and values. Until now, network management is so inconvenience because of console-based management by using SNMP. This paper shows the Web-based SNMP network management system that is using the designed private MIB and GUI. In this paper, we have proposed a virtual SNMP agent supporting scalability of network management. With the virtual agent, large-scale network can be managed simply by trap filtering and hierarchical management.

  • In SAW filters with a small aperture, diffraction effect is not negligible and degrades the frequency response near the trap. A computer simulation program for diffraction analysis is developed, and an effective diffraction compensation method is proposed to compensate the diffraction effect. A TV-lF SAW filter was designed with the diffraction taken account by the proposed method, which satisfies given frequency specifications.

  • Ceramic filter using energy trapping effect is used bandpass filter at high frequency. In this paper, the resonant points of the symmetrical modes and antisymmetrical modes were theoretically analyed and synthesized these modes in order to know the filter characteristics. We simulated them using the computer and also fabricated the ceramic filter using PZT-4 piezoelectric plate made by Valpey Fisher Co., The 1.5[.mu.m] - thick platinum electrode were deposited on the ceramic plates with the various masks. The characteristics of the fabricated filters were measured using the spectrum analyzer. Experimental data were compared with the theoretical results. The maximum-pass frequencies coinsided exactly. The bandwidths of the fabricated filters were slightly different between theoretical and experimental results. We found that these phenomenon were caused by the stray capacitance between the two neighbor electrodes..
