Surrounded by powerful states, Korean maritime and airspace jurisdiction is constantly exposed to intrusions by its neighbors. Korean government has been, however, exercising significant degree of moderation in response to the occasions. This is where my research starts off: why does Korean government implement only mild measures, which sometimes seem to be insufficient, to infringements on maritime and airspace jurisdiction? I found the answer from the principles and rules of international law: to promote peace and prosperity of the international community, it placed limitations on state rights and prohibited use of force. This point will be elaborated in the paper by examining the contents of restriction and the history of the relevant principles. In the second part of the paper, I explore what strategy could be employed by a state to protect its jurisdiction under present international legal regime. Interestingly, international law, which restricts state jurisdiction, at the same time provides opportunities for lesser powers to protect their state jurisdiction. In the meantime, diplomatic efforts are required. I offer examples of Norway and Philippines, who successfully upheld their arguments against powerful states via international legal regime.

This study aimed to investigate the current state and trends of health literacy research conducted on female marriage immigrant in South Korea over the past 10 years. A total of 107 related studies were searched through the web database, and 10 of them that met the inclusion criteria were finally analyzed. Most of the studies conducted in the healthcare fields such as nursing. Of the 9 studies were descriptive study, and there were no intervention studies. Most of studies involving women from main country of origin such as Vietnam, China, and the Philippines, and many studies conducted convenience sampling of less than 200 subjects from some regions for reasons such as accessibility. As a tool for measuring health literacy, KHLAT was most frequently used. For future research, collaborative research with healthcare fields and other fields through interdisciplinary interaction is necessary, and a circumstance in which field workers actively participate in research should be prepared. In addition, further studies including larger sample and community-based intervention improve health literacy are needed. Finally, efforts to improve the methodological consistency in the application of health literacy tools and to develop standardized instruments are required.
The purpose of this study is to draw out the trade effect of the Korea ASEAN FTA by carrying out a panel analysis. For achieving such a purpose, Panel Unit Root, Panel Cointegration Test, Pooled OLS, Hausman Test, Fixed Effect, Random effect are performed. The last 15 years's data over the period of 1997 to 2011 concentrated on the ASEAN countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippine, Singapore, Thai, Vietnam is used in this study. Major implications are summarized as following. First, our government need to maximize the effect derived from conclusion of FTA(Free Trade Agreement) in order to enhance the competitive edge through obtaining a stable foreign market. Second, it necessary for our government to improve a national system by orienting a FTA conclusion complying with WTO's product and service-related regulation.

This paper looks into the measurement of modeling ability in different fields like science, mathematics, operations research and management science and emulates the ideas to system analysis and design where modeling is a very useful skill. An assessment tool was designed to measure the graphical modeling ability in systems analysis and design. It was administered to 92 students and submitted to 10 MIS experts and tested statistically for its reliability and validity.
In Korea, national information infrastructure has been grown well because of the rapid growth and supply of Internet, but threats of cyber terror and cyber war are also increasing. Cyber attacks on knowledge information society threaten industry, economy and security. Major countries realize that cyber attacks can cause national heavy loss. So, they are trying to adopt policy on their cyber safe. And natural environmental crisises are increasing around the world. Countries such as India and Philippine in which tsunami, typhoon and earthquake are often occurring have national systematic disaster management system that can prevent and recover. We need systematic management for prevention and recovery from cyber terror, and need to establish national cyber disaster management system. Therefore, in this paper, we analyze major countries's cyber security policy and suggest a method of establishing the national cyber disaster management system.
Association of South East Asian Nations(ASEAN) has recently decided to develop ASEAN Highway Network to connect member countries by road in an attempt to achieve a goal of closer economic integration in the region. This entailed the necessity to newly construct or upgrade some 5,481 km of road sections to make ASEAN Highway Network functional. This study offers haw we can prioritize development of these road sections using the Analytic Hierarchy Process. Particularly, it shows how individual road sections can be prioritized considering the importance of corridor or road group where the individual road section lies. It also develops how values of different evaluation criteria can be compared in the same scale. This new approach can be useful in prioritizing highway development in such cases where candidate road sections are widely scattered around the region, so detailed benefit and cost analysis is practically too demanding to carry out.

Dengue is an acute febrile viral disease which is found in tropical and sub-tropical regions around the world. Dengue fever has steadily increased in both incidence and distribution over the past 50 years. Even though Korea is not an endemic country for dengue fever, with the increasing numbers of overseas travelers in Korea, the numbers of imported dengue cases are steadily increasing. Here, we report a case of imported dengue hemorrhagic fever in a Korean child presenting with fever and epistaxis. Dengue fever should be considered if a patient who has a recent travel history to endemic areas showed classical symptoms.
The Indonesian Archipelago is located in the southern tip of the Eurasian plate. The diverse subduction system of the Indonesia region records interactions between three megaplates (Eurasian, Indian-Australian, and Pacific plates) and many smaller plates. The geology of Indonesian Archipelago is characterized by many factors such as subduction zone complexes, magmatic arc rocks associated with plate tectonics, the arc granite and volcanic rocks, and the related metamorphic rocks. The base-metal deposits of Indonesia have a great effect on petrochemical character of parent rocks and geotectonic environments. The base-metal deposits can be classified into four types as hosted by felsic-intermediate intrusive rocks, hosted by ultramafic rocks, hosted by volcanic rocks, and hosted by sedimentary rocks. The gold deposits are divided into three types: epithermal gold deposits, porphyry copper associated gold deposits, and alluvial gold deposits. Especially, Indonesian island uc, with its numerous plates tectonic, has an high potential for epithermal gold deposits. Indonesia with many old and present subduction zones and sub-aerial calcalkaline volcanic rocks is a very promising country for epithermal gold mineralization.
This paper investigates the characteristics of Korean international tourism demand for selected 13 destination countries by estimating income and travel price elasticities using quarterly data from 1990:1 to 2006:2. Major findings of this paper could be summarized as follows. First, long-run equilibrium relationships between Korean international tourism demand for 13 destination countries, real income and travel price variables are confirmed. Second, the estimated income elasticities of Korean tourism demand for 13 destination countries are all elastic; especially, those for Australia, Philippine, Thailand and China are very elastic. And their estimated values vary with destination countries, which implies the income effects for 13 destination countries are all different; however there is no evidence that the income effects could be characterized by traveling distances. Third, the estimated travel price elasticities of Korean tourism demand for 13 destination countries also differ from destination countries; in most cases, they are elastic except those for Hong Kong and United States. The most travel price elastic countries are Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
