Pilates exercise program when exercise intensity based on the instructions of the ACSM (2010) as 1-4 weeks 50-60% HRR, 5-8 weeks 61-70% HRR to give 50-70%, maintaining the strength of 4 weeks. Pilates exercise program by gadgetry has increased the strength of wireless heart rate meter (Polar Analyzer, Polar Electro of Finland) Karvonen (1979), proceed individual target heart exercise obtained as a way now to check your strength workout through individual conciousness. We estimated immunoglobulin change for Pilates mat exercise by gadgetry during 8-week. It showed the following conclusions. First, immunoglobulin IgA has been increased and Interaction effects has been showed thruough Pilates mat exercise programs for 8 weeks. Second, immunoglobulin IgG has been increased and showed Interaction effects has been showed thruough Pilates mat exercise programs for 8 weeks. Third, immunoglobulin IgM has been increased and showed Interaction has been showed effects thruough Pilates mat exercise programs for 8 weeks. Therefore, this study was conducted on a Pilates mat exercise using props immune function are positive hormonal changes, can prevent private for the disease and effective exercises that are the fodder.

Female 30 elderly patients classified into the control group and the exercise group, who was conducted Pilates Mat exercise was gradually intensity applied for 60 minutes, three times per 1week, a total of 12 weeks. The following were result the study. Body composition showed statistically significant increased(p<.01) in skeletal muscle and body fat rates was decreased(p<.01), and there was no statistically significant difference in body fat mass. Vascular flexibility showed systolic pressure was statistically significant decreased(p<.01) and peripheral pulse pressure were statistically significant decreased(p<.01), and there was no statistically significantly difference in diastolic pressure and aorta pulse pressure. As a result of all these, it was judged that a positive effect for body composition, and vascular flexibility after pilates mat exercise in 12 weeks.

  • This study aims to provide basic data for maintaining and promoting health of obese middle-aged women who are interested in various chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease and coronary artery disease by comparing and analyzing the effect on body composition and lipid metabolism through a 12-week Pilates mat exercise program for obese middle-aged women. This study targeted middle-aged women residing in Gyeonggi-do A, who are obese middle-aged women in their 40s and 50s with a body fat ratio of 30% or more, and had no regular exercise in the past three months. Obese middle-aged women(n=19) were divided into two groups, the Pilates mat exercise program group(n=9) and the control group(n=10), conducting exercise for 60 minutes three times a week for 12 weeks. As a result of analysis, the exercise group had a positive effect on body weight, skeletal muscle mass, body fat mass, body fat percentage, and BMI in body composition, but not in the control group. In the lipid metabolism, the exercise group had a positive effect on TC, TG, HDL-C, LDL-C, and FFA, but not in the control group. These results suggest that the 12-week Pilates mat exercise program conducted in this study is an exercise program that can prevent cardiovascular and chronic diseases in obese middle-aged women.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the difference of muscle activity according to application of a foam roller during pilates. The 8 male subjects were selected and quadruped position, bridge, and core control movement of pilates were randomly assigned to 9 movements on a static mat motion, static foam-roller motion, and dynamic foam-roller actions. This program was conducted once at intervals of 1 week. The muscle activity of erector spinae, rectus abdominis, external oblique, gluteus medius, rectus femoris, and biceps femoris were measured and the collected data was analyzed by one-way ANOVA. First, in the quadruped, the rectus abdominis and external oblique, rectus femoris of the dynamic foam-roller actions showed higher muscle activity than the static mat motion and the static foam-roller motion(p <.001), gluteus medius muscle activity was also significantly higher (p <.05). biceps femoris were significantly higher in static foam-roller motions than in static mat-motion and dynamic foam-roller actions(p <.05). Second, biceps femoris muscle activity was highest in dynamic foam-roller actions than static mat-motion and static foam-roller motions during bridge(p <.001). Third, in the sitting core control, the rectus abdominis and gluteus medius of the dynamic foam-roller actions showed higher muscle activity than the static mat motion and the static foam-roller motion(p <.001). and activity of erector spinae muscle was also significantly higher (p <.01). external oblique were significantly higher in static mat-motion than in static foam-roller motions and dynamic foam-roller actions(p <.05). Considering the muscle activity during pilates exercise, it would be more effective to apply the method and difficulty.

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of pilates mat exercise (PME) and instability support surface exercise (ISSE) for TUG (Time up & go) and static balance in the elderly person aged 65 or more. Method : 30 subjects in Y-equestrian were randomly divided two group, pilates mat exercise (PME) group and instability support surface exercise (ISSE) group. Each group carried out 40 minutes exercise two times a week for 12 weeks. TUG (Time up & go) and Biorescue were measured for static balance. Result : The results were as follows, the TUG between pilates mat exercise (PME) group and instability support surface exercise (ISSE) group in post-test, were significantly different in measures (p<.05). And there were significant in two group after exercise (p<.05). The static balance between pilates mat exercise (PME) group and instability support surface exercise (ISSE) group in post-test, were significantly different in measures (p<.05). And there were significant in two group after exercise (p<.05). Conclusion : These finding revealed that pilates mat exercise was effective on TUG and static balance in the elderly person aged 65 or more so that these exercise can be new alterative exercise for obesity management in the elderly person.
