Comparative analyses were carried out on SCI publication results produced by scientists during their employment at the five domestic ocean-related college and six major oceanographic institutes in other countries. Assessment of research performance included bibliometric indicators : type of research categories, and, evaluation of the reliability of citation data to establish future research goals. Analysis parameters also included number of SCI publication results, cited frequency, higher ranked author group, higher ranked Journal group, higher ranked SCI category for each academic and research Institutes in oceanography. Such analyses can help improve and achieve institutional goals in the future as well as help managing and prioritizing majors scientific journals and information services.

International research cooperation is emerging as one of the strategies for improving research performance. Therefore, in this study, through the analysis of research reports on the theme of international research cooperation, the subject and issues of international research cooperation were identified and the characteristics of these studies were confirmed. To this end, related report data were constructed, statistical data analysis and big data analysis of the data were performed. Considering the current international research cooperation network, it is necessary to conduct international research cooperation centered on developing countries while paying attention to the increase in China's proportion of international research cooperation. Second, it is necessary to emphasize the importance of international research cooperation in various countries, including developing countries, in that the interdependence of research between countries increases and the citation index of actual joint research is higher. Third, it can be seen that the subject field in which international research cooperation can be activated may vary depending on the type of support project. Therefore, it suggests that in order for international research cooperation on more diverse topics to be carried out, projects supporting them must also be diversified.

References at the end of an academic paper are information that helps authors keep their research ethics, readers refer to related prior studies. Also references are useful information for linking citations and citations between articles. As bibliography metrics develops, bibliographic data is used as an important data for assessing the academic influence of countries, institutions and individual researchers. However, it is not easy to identify and link the reference data due to the diversity of the bibliographic citation formats, the loss of information due to the abbreviation of journal names and author names, and typos by authors. This study investigated the method of improving the bibliographic data mapping rate by analyzing the unmapped cases. As a result, it was found that the main cause of the article-reference mapping failure was the similarity of abbreviated journal names. Research team suggested that continuous management of journal title authority data and improving the DOI registration rate as ways to improve the identification and mapping rate. This study is differentiated from other studies in used database. Bibliography mapping was attempted for domestic and foreign integrated journal database that is mainly subscribed, used, published and cited in Korea. Through reference construction volume and mapping rate improvement, it can be used as citation analysis and service database reflecting domestic situation that is different from overseas citation index database.

Recently, many countries in the world try to develop alternative energy sources, however, traditional hydrocarbon resources are still occupying most of the energy resources. Exploration demands for high technologies are increasing in the development of limited oil & gas resources field owing to the exhaustion of hydrocarbon resources for access area. Therefore, an effort for the development and the application of new technologies such as azimuth seismic survey, ocean-bottom seismic survey and marine controlled-source electromagnetic survey is necessary as well as an understanding of the existing technologies such as 2D/3D seismic survey. This dissertation is designed with the purpose of introducing marine hydrocarbon exploration technologies and analyzing their internalexternal researches, development and science information. In this study, we analised total 616 dissertations for the marine petroleum exploration released in the Sci-expanded DB of 'web of science' during the 2001~2014 periods.
