We investigated the microstructure and morphological characteristics of microplastics added to rinse off cosmetics by scanning electron microscope. The size of the microplastic was in a wide range of sizes, from $250{\mu}m$ to 1.5mm in diameter. The small microplastics were in the shape of elongated particles and the large microplastics were cuboidal. Most cubic microplastics were observed in the form of squares or rectangles. The surface of the cubic microplastic was smoothly observed without protruding portions, but irregularly many gaps were formed. The gap between openings was measured from about $5{\mu}m$ to $20{\mu}m$. It has not been confirmed that these gaps are formed from the surface of the microplastic to the inside there of.

세계의 화장품 개발방향은 소비자의 욕구와 다양화와 관련기술 등의 발달로 인하여 피부미화, 청결 등의 단순한 효능에서 이제 고기능, 다기능을 갖는 제품들의 개발로 변화되고 있다. 이러한 세계적인 추세에 따라 국제화된 국내시장에도 기능성 화장품이 수입 또는 제조되고 있으며 국내 소비자들도 이러한 제품을 선호하는 경향을 보이고 있으므로 이를 적정하게 규제하며 소비자를 보호하기 위하여 기능성 화장품의 정의가 필요하게 되었다. 정의설정을 위해 미국, EU, 일본 등의 화장품의 정의와 범위 등을 연구하고 실제 판매되고 있는 제품들을 참고하여 기능성 화장품을 정의하였다. 또, 이러한 화장품의 범위 등을 구체적으로 설정하고 이에 대한 규제동향 등을 제사하고자 한다.

Cosmetics have had only simple efficacy such as cleansing, beautification, and so on. The latest development tendency for cosmetics turned to make goods that is effective and efficacious for whitening, anti-wrinkle, etc., due to various wants of consumers, development of relative technical, etc. According to this stream, Korea Cosmetics Law has been enacted by the Notification of the Korea Food and Drug Administration in 2000. The establishment of Korea Cosmetics industry and opened regular 'Cosmeceuticals Time'. Since the Korea Cosmetics Law took effect on July 2000, the cosmeceuticals system has settled down according to its lights. This research studied how women consumers were understanding the cosmeceuticals system focused on their life style. This study is considered to offer a basic information about consumer's type and to be a groundwork data for working out a marketing strategy about the subdivision of cosmeceuticals market.
