The Estimation of Fatigue Design Strength on Base Metal and Welded Parts of Rail (철도궤조(鐵道軌條) 및 용접연결부(鎔接連結部)에 대한 피로설계강도(疲勞設計强度)의 평가(評價))

  • The strength and load of structure are varied with the Passage of time, and become a process of probability. It is possible to estimate the reliability from the relation between strength and load. Considering the safety, It is reasonable to estimate allowable stress from the safety factor based on the reliability. In this study, the method to estimate probability of fracture, which is index of reliability for rail subjeict to long term fatigue load were examined. In estimation of reliablity it is meaningless to evaluate numerical value especially this difficult case estimating parameter of random variable. To overcome this problem, conventional design method estimating relative reliability were proposed. In this study the Cornell method were examined. The uncertainity of random variale, ie coefficient of variation which is the index of variation of strength and load were considered. The effect of uncertainity related to probability of fracture, and safety factor based on reliability were examined. The results of this study are followed. The reliability of weld metal were influenced by variation of strength more then load, and base metal were influenced by load. It is confirmed that the allowable stress range calculating with factor of safety based an reliability is conservative.

  • 50kg NSI PCT(Prestress Concrete Timber, sleeper) is developed for the purpose of low maintenance cost, Extend life cycle, Track stability, Friendly Environment, Good running quality. In this study, as a part of research which is to make renovated NSI turnout, the main objective of this study is the optimization of PC sleeper's section, the number of PS tension wire. For this purpose, the finite element analysis was conducted to evaluate the serviceability and the safety of NSI PC sleeper developed.

  • Stainless steel sheets are widely used as the structural material for dynamic machine structures, These kinds structures used stainless steel sheets are commonly fabricated by using the gas welding, For fatigue design of gas welded joints such as various type joint. It is necessary to obtain design information on stress distribution at the weldment as well as fatigue strength of gas welded joints. Thus in this paper, ${\Delta}P-N_f$ curves were obtained by fatigue tests. and, ${\Delta}P-N_f$ curves were rearranged in the ${\Delta}{\sigma}-N_f$ relation with the hot spot stresses at the gas welded joints. Using these results, the accelerated life test(ALT) is conducted. From the experiment results, an life prediction model is derived and factors are estimated. So it is intended to obtain the useful information for the fatigue lifetime of welded joints and data analysis by statistic reliability method, to save time and cost, and to develop optimum accelerated life prediction plans.

  • 지금까지 국내 보안감리 평가는 정성적인 평가에 머물러 있어 평가를 담당하는 감리인마다 평가 결과가 서로 상이하여 피 평가자에게 신뢰를 심어주지 못하는 결과가 초래되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 보안감리에 대한 국내의 연구와 해외 사례를 참조하여 SI사업에서의 보안감리평가 효율성을 제고할 수 있는 방안 및 평가체계를 정량화하는 방안을 제시하였다. 이를 위해 SI사업의 소프트웨어 개발 및 개발 환경(네트워크, 서버 등)을 중심으로 한국전산원에서 제시하고 있는 보안감리 지침과 한국정보시스템감리인협회의 보안관련 세부 감리지침을 통합하고 세부 감리지침에 따른 평가를 정량화 하였다. 보안감리 평가의 정량화 방안에 대한 감리전문가의 인터뷰와 사례 프로젝트의 적용을 통하여 연구 모형에 대한 검증을 실시하였다.

  • 선체용 복합재료 및 구조용 접착제와 신공법인 진공 성형법으로 건조한 레저선박에 강화플라스틱 구조기준을 그대로 적용하기에는 무리가 있으며, 따라서 복합재료, 수지, 접착제 및 진공 성형법 등 현장조사를 토대로 복합소재 및 접착제를 이용한 시험편을 제작하여 복합재료의 기계적 특성, 구조용 접착제에 대한 신뢰성 평가 및 국내외 기준 비교 검토를 통한 국내 실정에 적합한 검사기준을 제안하고자 한다.

  • 피 측정물의 변위를 기계적 변화로 감지하여 나타내는 LVDT는 상호인덕턴스 변화를 이용하는 대표적 변위 트랜스듀서이다. 본 연구에서는 LVDT에 대한 상품화를 위한 설계와 제작, 그리고 신호변환장치에 대한 과정을 기술하였으며, 최종 성능 특성을 측정하여 상품화를 위한 신뢰성의 정도와 선형도 등을 평가하였다. 이러한 상품화 과정을 통하여 산업현장에서 자동계측과 제어를 위한 트랜스듀서로 활용할 수 있도록 하고자 한다.

  • The mechanical reliability of flexible devices has become a major concern on their commercialization, where the importance of reliable bonding is highlighted. In terms of component materials' properties, it is important to consider thermal damage of polymer substrates that occupy large area of the flexible device. Therefore, room temperature bonding process is highly advantageous for implementing flexible device assemblies with mechanical reliability. Conventional epoxy resins for the bonding still require curing at high temperatures. Even after the curing procedure, the bonding joint loses flexibility and exhibits poor fatigue durability. To solve this problems, low-temperature and adhesive-free bonding are required. In this work, we develop a room temperature bonding process for polymer substrates using carbon nanotube heated by microwave irradiations. After depositing multiple-wall carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) on PET polymer substrates, they are heated locally with by microwave while the entire bonding specimen maintains room temperature and the heating induces mechanical entanglement of CNT-PET. The room temperature bonding was conducted for a PET/CNT/PET specimen at 600 watt of microwave power for 10 seconds. Thickness of the CNT bonding joint was very thin that it obtains flexibility as well. In order to evaluate the mechanical reliability of the joint specimen, we performed lap shear test, three-point bending test, and dynamic bending test, and confirmed excellent joint strength, flexibility, and bending durability from each test.

  • Increased cumulative running times of railroad vehicle brings out such degradation as wear and fatigue. It don't adapt corrective maintenance which repairs a poor pan after a trouble but use preventive maintenance which fixes a bad part before a trouble. There were a few researches for preventive maintenance such as inspect affairs and facilities management. They couldn't estimate the operation reliability on railroad vehicle. Therefore, this study proposes the preventive maintenance procedure that predict repair period of end beam for uncovered freight car using reliability function and instantaneous failure rate on the basis of fatigue test and load history data.

The Effect of Insulating Material on WLCSP Reliability with Various Solder Ball Layout (솔더볼 배치에 따른 절연층 재료가 WLCSP 신뢰성에 미치는 영향)

  • A major failure mode for wafer level chip size package (WLCSP) is thermo-mechanical fatigue of solder joints. The mechanical strains and stresses generated by the coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) mismatch between the die and printed circuit board (PCB) are usually the driving force for fatigue crack initiation and propagation to failure. In a WLCSP process peripheral or central bond pads from the die are redistributed into an area away using an insulating polymer layer and a redistribution metal layer, and the insulating polymer layer affects solder joints reliability by absorption of stresses generated by CTE mismatch. In this study, several insulating polymer materials were applied to WLCSP to investigate the effect of insulating material. It was found that the effect of property of insulating material on WLCSP reliability was altered with a solder ball layout of package.
