Preliminary Investigation of Pavement Adjustment Concepts for Slab Thickness Deficiency in Portland Cement Concrete Pavement (콘크리트 포장의 슬래브 두께 손실에 대한 지불규정 기준 정립을 위한 기초연구)

  • The current standards and specifications for the road pavement construction have been developed based on materials and construction methods. The pavements constructed in accordance with those specifications do not guarantee high performance of pavements since they do not consider long-term performance of pavements. Therefore, as part of the study to develop performance-based construction standards for pavements, the payment adjustment methods based on the pavement performance are currently being developed. This paper presents preliminary studies performed to develop the payment adjustment methods when there is deficiency in the concrete slab thickness that is one oi the most important factors for the pavement design and construction. First, the payment adjustment methods in USA were investigated. Then, the AASHTO failure equation, the relationship between slab thickness and stress, and the relationship between stress level and pavement life were employed to propose the payment adjustment concepts based on the pavement performance for the deficient slab thickness. The variation in the slab thickness according to measurement locations was investigated by taking cores. In addition, the measurement methods of slab thickness and the variation of measured thicknesses depending on performers were analyzed, and finally the methodology to develop the thickness deficiency ranges for the use in the payment adjustment methods was proposed.

The Statistical Correlation Between Continuous Driving Time and Drowsy Accidents (연속주행시간과 졸음사고간 통계적 상관관계 분석)

  • During recent 5 years, it was recorded that 20% of total accident frequency and 30% of total number of death have been occurred due to drowsy driving. Drowsy driving accident is result from the loss of driving ability due to driver's accumulated fatigue. Continuous driving time can be measured as a surrogate variable to quantify the level of fatigue. The main purpose of this research is to investigate statistical correlation between the proportion of continuous driving vehicle (more than 2 hours) and the number of drowsy accidents. To carry this out, continuous driving time was measured using GPS route-guidance trajectory data. Also, accident frequency, traffic volume and segment length were collected to estimate safety performance function (SPF) for Jungbunearuk expressway in Korea. Through various types of estimated SPFs, statistical correlation was analyzed based on estimated statistical indices. This research can provide theoretical background for enforcement to regulate commercial vehicle driver's continuous driving time. In addition, throughout the trajectory data expansion, it is expected that strategy for anti-drowsy driving facilities installation can be established based on the suggested methodology.

  • A tongue coating evaluation method for WTCI(Winkel Tongue Coating Index) is proposed in this paper, which is used as the diagnostic criteria in the tongue diagnosis. This method uses the color channel analysis and tongue coating extraction from the ultraviolet tongue image. Proposed method analyzes the histogram distribution of the respective color channel for extracting a tongue coating, and performs the verification test from the selected color channel in the tongue coating extraction. Also, Objectivity of the tongue diagnostic criteria is verified by the artificial sample and real-tongue image experiments. In order to evaluate the performance of the proposed Computerized Assistant WTCI Evaluation method, after verifying a measurement accuracy by using the artificial sample images, and applying to the various real-tongue image of subjects. As a result, the proposed WTCI method is very successful.

  • We performed the development and performance evaluation of reflective type heart rate measurement system for PAPS. We used chip LED and chip photo TR. for low power driving. The measured PPG signal is preprocessed using high pass filter and low pass filter, and the preprocessed signal is displayed by LabVIEW. Also LabVIEW include the algorithm that extract effective signal and calculate the heart rate. We made sure that it will be able to apply to measurement equipment with high accuracy and repetition from exercising subject using this system and algorithm.

  • A laser speckle is a random pattern that has a granular appearance produced by reflected light when a coherent laser illuminates an irregular course surface. Laser speckle system has many advantages. It can detect some animals functional parts. Moreover, it relatively consists of simple and in-expensive system. It is very important that detecting micro-vessels through image processed image. Current study is to improve image quality through variable image processing method. But this paper made laser speckle endoscope for miniaturization and commercialization laser speckle system. We had endoscope test through goldfish's tail. We will compare the processed speckle image and halogen image.

  • 헤드폰 또는 이어폰으로 오디오 청취 시 흔히 음상이 머리 내부에 맺히는 현상이 발생하게 되며, 이러한 현상을 음상 내재화(Inside Head Localization; IHL)라 한다. 오디오의 음상이 머리 주변 혹은 머리 내부에 맺히게 되면 공간감이나 입체감이 떨어지게 되어 음향의 현실감을 저하시키게 되며 또한 청취에 따른 피로도가 증가하게 된다. 이러한 음상 내재화 현상을 제거하여, 헤드폰/이어폰을 통해 오디오 청취 시 음상이 머리의 외부에 맺히도록(Out of Head Localization; OHL) 하는 기술을 음상 외재화(Sound Externalization) 기술이라 한다. 룸 임펄스 응답이 방향 큐와 연계하여 생성되었을 경우 외재화가 가능하다는 실험적 사실을 바탕으로 기존의 음상 외재화 방법은 일반적인 HRTF (Head Related Transfer Function)를 이용하여 외재화 필터를 구성해왔다. 본 논문에서는 구체마이크로폰을 이용하여 녹음한 멀티채널 룸 임펄스 응답을 기반으로 모델링 된 외재화 필터를 이용한 음원 외재화 방법을 제안한다. 또한 실험 및 결과 분석을 통하여 본 알고리즘의 전방 음원 외재화 성능의 우수성을 입증하고, 외재화 알고리즘 적용 후의원 신호 음상 보존 성능을 확인한다.

  • With a widespread of sensor-rich mobile devices, the analysis of human activities becomes more general and simpler than ever before. In this paper, we propose two deep neural networks that efficiently and accurately perform human activity recognition (HAR) using tri-axial accelerometers. In combination with powerful modern deep learning techniques like batch normalization and LSTM networks, our model outperforms baseline approaches and establishes state-of-the-art results on WISDM dataset.

  • Frame relay is a fast packet switching technology that performs relaying and multiplexing frames with variable lengths over a wide area link at the T1 or E1 speed, by elminating error and flow control in the network. In frame relay networks, congestion control is typically performed through the rate enforcement with a discard eligibility (DE) bit, and the explicit negative feedback meachanisms using explicit congetion notification bits. In this paper, we consider the congestiong control scheme using the rate enforcement mechanism with DE bit for frame relay network. Assuming that each frame with exponentially distributed length arrives according to the Poission fashion, we can treat the frame relay switch as an M/M/1/K priority queueing system with pushout basis. We analyze and present the blocking probabilities and waiting time distributions of frames.

  • In this study, two types of LED spot light with the development of the current broadcast studio-light is installed in the space being used in many products, companies in the UK Arri-650W, 1000W Fresnel spot light and illumination, color temperature and color rendering comparison of data measured compared with the target of the shooting and the color rendition on images was measured by comparing the color. In the future, broadcast - shooting LED spot light replacing whether the available studies on the performance evaluation were analyzed. Experimental evaluation of a replacement for halogen lights in LED Spot light is potential was confirmed.

  • 콤바인 곡물 포대 자동화장치개발은 콤바인 운전자 및 작업자의 피로경감과 안전보호 및 작업성능의 향상을 기하기 위하여 행하여 졌으며, 본 연구의 개발은 기존의 콤바인 작업이 2명이 소요되는 것을 운전자 1명이 수확작업을 할 수 있도록 하며, 노동력의 절감과 작업의 편리성을 도모하고자 하였다. 이러한 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 1) 곡물 포대의 정 위치화를 위해서 용량형 근접위치센서를 설치하였으며, 포대의 과다이송에 따른 모터의 부하를 최소화 하기위해 선단부와 슈트부에 각각 위치센서를 설치하여 포대의 위치를 제어하였다. 2) 곡물 투입장치부의 작동은 공기압축기와 공압실린더를 이용한 공압시스템을 사용하였으며, 곡물의 투입량제어는 슈트부 게이트의 열림시간을 제어하여, 곡물의 투입량을 제어하였다. 3) 포대 배출장치는 이송장치로부터 이송되어진 충진된 포대를 제 2의 포대가 충진하는 영역 밖으로 밸트 컨베이어를 이용 이송하도록 하였다. 4) 포대는 B3 포대의 경우가 가장 투입량이 많은 것으로 나타났으며, 가진을 한 경우가 하지 않은 경우보다 비교적 투입량이 많은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서 개발된 포대 자동화장치에서는 포대의 가진 장치를 장착하지 않았으며, 실험은 인위적으로 가진을 하여 실행하였으며, 향후 전체적인 장치의 성능 향상을 위해서 포대의 가진 장치가 필요한 것으로 나타났다.
