직접측정법에 의한 피로크랙 개구거동의 해석 (Analysis of Fatigue Crack Opening: Belhlavioll Using Direct Measuring Method)

  • 본 연구에서는 크랙선단의 소성변형에 의해 발생하는 소성유기 크랙개구거동 을 검토하기 위하여, 크랙선단 최인접 영역에서 COD를 측정할 수 있는 직접 측정법을 개발 사용하고 (1) 직접측정법의 적용범위와 크랙선단의 개구거동 (2) 측정위치에 따 른 개구하중의 변화 (3) 개구비에 영향을 주는 하중변수등에 대하여 고찰하였다.

  • 탄소강 평활재 및 미소결함재를 사용하여, 미소 정류크랙의 크랙 개폐구거동의 상세한 관찰과 초기결함을 상정한 미소 원공과의 상호 한계크기의 비교 검토를 통하여, 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 평활재의 정규크랙은, 피로과정중에 압축잔류응역이 크랙선단의 개구를 억제하는 것에 의하여 정류하게 되고, 그 크기는 평활재의 피로한도를 저하시키지 않은 미소 원공의 한계크기와 거의 일치하여, 두 경우가 역학적으로 거의 등가함을 시사해 주고 있다.

  • The fatigue crack opening behavior is analyzed using finite element method. Because extremely fine mesh subdivision is required when using constant stress constant strain triangular element, this study uses conventional two dimensional eight node isoparametric elements. Since plasitc zone size is similar to crack propagating length per each load cycle because of relatively large element size, a new analysis model that a crack propagates every two load cycle is suggested. the opening load and crack opening displacement can be obtained accurately by this method.

  • The constant .DELTA. K fatigue tests are performed in SS41 and its weldment. The LASER ISDG method is used in determination of crack opening ratio. This method is more precise than indirect measurement method, faster and easier than other direct measurement method. And obtained results are followed 1) Crack opening ratio U is proportional to fatigue crack growth rate da/dN at constant .DELTA. K 2) Fatigue crack growth rate da/dN in weldment increases in weld metal and heat affected zone, decreases in base metal as crack grows.

SB41용접재의 피로크랙 진전거동에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Fatigue Crack Propagation Behavior in the SB41 Welding Material)

  • SB41 material is welded automatically and is investigated some effects of the welding residual stress in the growth and propagation of fatigue crack, so as to study the fatigue behaviour in the welding residual stress field. The summarized results are as follows; 1) In case of the load amplitude is constant, as the stress ratio is changing to 0.1, 0.33 and 0.5 the propagation life is constant but the growth life decreases. And than, when maximum load or minimum load is constant as the stress ratio increases the growth life and propagation life. 2) It was shown that fatigue crack propagation ratio da/dN was almost constant regardless of the stress ratio change at constant load amplitude and that the larger stress ratio, the slower was the fatigue crack propagation ratio. 3) The opening ratio U is influenced by $K_max$ but it isn't only the function of $K_max$ because data range is very large. 4) The fatigue life of the specimens on tensile compressive residual stress field was decreased and increased respectably more than that of the base metal.
