The Busan Financial Center: Evaluation and Future Direction (부산금융중심지에 대한 평가와 향후 과제)

  • In this paper, I evaluate national and regional policies for financial centers and Busan Fiancial Center and find the way of the future development of Busan Financial Center. And I found that national policies for financial centers was focused on general improvements of financial industry, so a little tasks for Busan Financial Centers were listed. Therefore I suggest that central government should have more national policies for enhancing Busan Financial Center and promoting participation of private financial firms. And I propose the broader incentive schemes for financial firms moving to Busan, and expect that combining national deregulation policies like Regulation-Free Zone and Regulatory Sandbox and Moonhyun-North Port financial free zone and FinTech cluster plans of Busan will make a big progress of Busan Financial Center.

A Study on Design of Location Service Protocol using SDL in the IMT-2000 System (SDL을 이용한 IMT-2000 시스템에서의 위치 서비스 프로토콜 설계에 관한 연구)

  • The Location Service (LCS) feature which provides the terminal UE’s geographical location information has been important issues in IMT-2000 system. The existing location positioning methods are classified into the cell ID based, OTDOA, and network assisted GPS. In this paper, a new hybrid location positioning method which combine three of these methods is proposed. Then the LCS protocol is developed under SDL (Specification and Description Language) development environment after designing a new LCS system architecture and behavior. This protocol design covers the LCS functional model and signaling procedure, system architecture, primitive and data structure, and process SDL diagrams.

Analysis of the Distinction of the Korean Movies in the Japanese Market (일본에 수출된 한국영화 특성 분석)

  • The purpose of the study is to identify the characteristics of films to be exported into a larger market abroad, especially the Japanese film market which occupies more than a half of the export costs of the Korean movies. Our analysis shows that the factors such as the reputation of a director and actors in Japan, the box-office record in Korea and genres have influence upon the export to the Japanese market. Among genres, comedy movies were less exported, while melodramas was more. We expect that this result will be helpful when film producers plan movies for export from the stage of pre-production.

  • The problems of developing web based adaptive hypermedia for education using XML are discussed in this paper. We define two different markup languages using XML. The one structures the domain model and the another describes the user model. These language can be easily extended and authored, with the result of obtaining a simple methodology for data structuring in the field of web based educational adaptive hypermedia. Also, We have suggested three learning rules that automatically restructures hypertext networks according to their user browsing behavior. The user profile is contained in a user model, while the knowledge about the domain can be represented in the form of a concept based domain model. Accordingly.

Analysis on Spatial Sampling and Implementation for Primal Trees (Primal Tree의 공간 분할 샘플링 분석 및 구현)

  • The general octree structure is common for various applications including computer graphics, geometry information analysis and query. Unfortunately, the general octree approach causes duplicated sample data and discrepancy between sampling and representation positions when applied to sample continuous spatial information, for example, signed distance fields. To address these issues, some researchers introduced the dual octree. In this paper, the weakness of the dual octree approach will be illustrated by focusing on the fact that the dual octree cannot access some specific continuous zones asymptotically. This paper shows that the primal tree presented by Lefebvre and Hoppe can solve all the problems above. Also, this paper presents a three-dimensional primal tree traversal algorithm based the Morton codes which will help to parallelize the primal tree method.

  • The study is content-based video retrieval system based on the news video domain as researching for the video data processing method for searching the multimedia information. For the implementation of effective system, We retrieval meaning information and special information using the knowing knowledge about formation and structure of the video data. These are possible to retrieval searching by articles fast and accurately by indexing contents the users want to search. The news domain used in experiment of our system is the KBS news on the air nowadays and precision and recall is used to evaluate the experiment and performance.

  • Presentation is the most important factor in the usability of a web site. A poor layout makes a bad influence on the searching ability of the user by reducing search speed and causing mistakes. Recently many web sites visualize 3D information and there is plenty of research on it. Such a layout improves the usability of web pages and information awareness both in quantity and quality. This paper proposes design guides on 3D information browsing and has experiments on searching speed of the users for 2D and 3D displays of the same data and were analyzed.

  • Being a symbolic image to let traditional 'mother wonlee' contents characters known widely, need to be made in a way that can deliver the powerful message of korea An-dong traditional local contents and the value of regent story. As for the contents character develope methods and the scope of the study, an theoretical study was conducted based on literature review, and, factor plus fiction field surveys, and the legend story and then an effect of character marketing on global contents with original identity. 'mother wonlee' pre-production plaining have been analysis with creative described based on the ancients features and the classification of ancient original characters, and the situation and the concept of An-dong local place. as a results this thesis is show up how to make up a main character develop processing and make a features design processing of the characters who different age and a scenes. as a conclusion is drawing about a 'Wonlee' and 'Eungtea' both main Character plaining processing and graphics; traditional face, all clothes, body proportion, etc. Also we trade to traditional patten with character planing. it will be a high value industry which facilitates a variety of industries in conjunction with marketing traditional source characters in global. Recognizing the value of traditional story main character design and graphics marketing and utilizing the value through various media will create infinite value, enabling the global marketing.

Adaptation Techniques of an Object-based MPEG-4 Player to PDA (객체 기반 MPEG-4 재생 기술의 PDA 적응 기법)

  • As the computing technique and mobile devices get developed, the demand of multimedia contents for mobile environment has been increased. The multimedia contents provided on PDA has so far been limited to the materials such as video and audio. MPEG-4 is the international standard used for supporting to properly save, communicate multimedia in formation such as video, audio, image, text and two-dimensional object, which can present various, multimedia contents by using adaptation techniques. However, since most MPEG-4 contents are not used for PDA but desktop, it seems not to be played on PDA where needs low power consumption, limited memory capability and GUI, and so on. In this paper, we propose the adaptation techniques, which can present the MPEG-4 contents on PDA, using scene composition with MPEG-4. The proposed scheme consists of three subparts: physical adaptation, variation adaptation and resource adaptation. Physical adaptation adjusts the physical difference of between the authoring environment and playback environment. Event adaptation part transforms events used for desktop to the events used for playback on PDA. The resource adaptation enables efficiency of playback to promote by using the essential information table on BIFS parser. As the proposed scheme is applied to MPEG-4 player, we see that the MPEG-4 contents are efficiently played on PDA.

  • 새학기의 시작과 더불어 게임판도에도 많은 변화가 있었다. 우선 막대한 제작비가 투입된 대작RPG의 오픈베타서비스가 시작되었다. 기본적인 구도는 당초 대작3인방으로 불리던 웹젠의 <썬>이 예상보다 오픈베타서비스 일정이 늦추어지는 바람에 한빛소프트의 <그라나도에스파다>와 넥슨의 <제라>가 맞대결을 펼치고 있는 양상이다. 이 두게임은 이미 김학규 프리미엄으로 개발 초기부터 관심이 집중되었다는 점과 캐주얼게임의 지존 넥슨에서 최초로 개발한 정통성인 RPG라는 점에서 관심을 불러 일으키고 있다. 한편, 게임계뿐만 아니라 사회 전체 이슈로 떠오르고 있는 ‘리니지 도용 사태’는 시간이 지날수록 그 피해규모가 급증하며 엔씨소프트 및 게임·IT업체 들의 주가가 큰폭으로 하락, 후폭풍이 만만치 않았다. 그러나 명의도용의 원인이 되었던 <리니지> 게임은 사회적 파장과는 무관하리만큼 게임사용량의 큰 변화 없이 여전히 막강한 위세(?)를 떨치고 있다. 이번 명의도용 사태가 엔씨소프트에겐 악재로 작용했지만, 리니지 게임에는 전국적 홍보를 할 수 있었던 호재로 작용 했다. 개학과 더불어 전체 게임 사용량이 소폭 하락했던 2월! 그럼 지금부터 2월 한달간 게임동향을 살펴봤다.
