The purpose of the study is to verify whether literature therapy program for prevention of smartphone addiction is effective for adolescents. The subjects of this study were 150 students of J City, K middle school. After completing the program, they were conducted post-test for both the experimental and control groups. The study found that the program was effective in mitigating smartphone addiction but not in reducing the directed life problem. It was also found to be effective in reducing tolerance and loss of control and problems of withdrawal and emotional experience. The study suggests that institutional arrangements are needed for linking with related organizations in the region because it is difficult to effectively prevent the increasing problem of smartphone addiction unless an adolescents program for youth is linked to the school. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct parent education for prevention of smartphone addiction in computer curriculum of school subjects.

In this study, an educational program was developed so that artificial intelligence could be used as a transdisciplinary convergence education with other disciplines. The main educational content is designed for 8 hours using machine learning to help students understand the molecular structure dealt with in high school chemistry. The program developed in this study calculated the I-CVI (Item Content Validity Index) value through expert review, and as a result, none of the items were rejected with a score of .80 or higher. Because the program of this study combines the content elements of the chemistry subject and the information (artificial intelligence) subject academically, it is expected that the learner will be able to increase the convergence talent literacy. In addition, since it is not required to secure a additional number of hours for this educational program, the burden on teachers may be low.

In this paper, we propose a python education program that applies computational thinking for non-majors and programming beginners. In this study, we focus on the basics of program logic, breaking away from the difficult grammar and memorization-oriented programming education. And by applying the problem-solving procedure of computational thinking, we propose an educational program that allows non-majors and programming beginners to learn programming easily. In this paper, an 8-week educational program was applied to middle school students with little text coding experience. and through a post-satisfaction survey, it was found that their confidence in programming increased, and they were able to apply computational thinking could be applied to life and other subjects. Although the importance of programming education is being emphasized, it is expected that it will be used as a useful educational program when composing program education for non-majors and beginners in programming for learners who still find it difficult to learn programming.

Most of the volunteering and community service had no direct link with classroom learning. Service-learning educational methodology that directly and intentionally integrates the classroom learning with service to the community. Research has found that this combination can improve the academic learning of the course material, give participants a deeper understanding of the social issues they address and provide valuable community services. And, service-learning has been offend environment to meet many of the KEC 2005 criteria that many be difficult to integrate into traditional engineering course. In studying, recognizing why service learning is a new attempt what is different form other learning experiences, we would like to search management strategies for service learning course and program development.

In the 21th century, world citizens have more chances to meet and interact with people from different cultural or ethnic backgrounds than ever before. It is therefore inevitable that multiculturalism has become one of the integral part of music education. Educators in every field should make conscious efforts to provide opportunities and experiences for students so that they can adequately cope with these culturally diverse encounters. This study is to grasp the current state of multicultural education in the teacher education program in Korea and America. Also it is aimed to figure out the current multicultural music course offerings available for undergraduate music education majors at the selected 10 American Universities. It is expected that this study may suggest an idea of multicultural-world music education in teacher education.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of mathematics-centered STEAM program which was operated in free semester system classes on middle school students' interest in science, technology/engineering, and mathematics(STEM) career and integrated problem solving ability. The study was conducted with 40 first graders in a middle school for 12 weeks using mathematics-centered STEAM program developed for the use of free semester system classes by the support of the Ministry of Education/KOFAC in 2016. According to the results of STEM career interest survey, mathematics-centered STEAM program was effective for improving middle school students' interest in STEM career. And it was also effective in the development of students' integrated problem solving ability.

The purposes of this study were to analyze vocabularies used the section of 'Living Earth' in 11-grade Earth science textbooks with the Science Word Analysis (SWA) program and to investigate the vocabularies selected by the 11th grade students as difficult ones. For the purpose, we extracted the Earth science vocabularies from six textbooks, and classified into the scientific and non-scientific vocabularies with SWA program based on the standard Korean language dictionary. Also, we investigated the difficulty of each vocabulary by using questionnaire to three hundred sixty students. From the results analyzed with the program, it was found that the frequency of the scientific vocabularies out of the level was the largest any other level in all textbooks. And from the survey, most of the vocabularies selected by students as difficult to understand were classified into out of the level. From these results, it were suggested that the students' cognitive level should be considered in developing science textbooks and difficult vocabularies should be replaced to easy ones within the limits of changeless in the meanings.

This study aimed at developing a convergence education program about skin care and social welfare with the purpose of operating liberal arts courses to foster the creativity and character building of university students and the development findings are as follows. The name of the developed course is "beauty treatment welfare and community service" and details were developed for the course overview, goals of the course, textbooks, course management, assignments, and assessment. The lesson goals of this course are character building by fostering creative and outstanding individuals demanded by the society and equipped with the basic knowledge of majors like skin care and social welfare as well as the capability to share and consider through service learning related education for the increase in convergence critical thinking skills and the convergence of skin care and social welfare. The details of the course comprised of introduction about the course, understanding the concept of convergence, understanding the concepts of skin care and social welfare, convergent thinking education and practicum, and education about service learning performance sharing meeting. The service learning is targeted on the socially disadvantaged, such as children and elders, and students can engage in service twice a week with 3 hours for each service session. The assessment is evaluated with midterm (30%), final exam (30%), report (20%), and attendance (20%). This study stresses importance on the development of a convergence education program for skin care and social welfare, which are still undeveloped while convergence education is expanding in university, and with this research as the start, it is anticipated for various approaches to be actively implemented about convergence education in the field of beauty treatment.

The purpose of this study was to develop educational programs of STEAM-based project under the theme of "Photography of Earth" for the circle activities of the creative experiential activity, to be applied this program to them and to identify technology subject self-efficacy and change in attitude toward engineering. In order to achieve the research objectives, this program was applied to middle school student in Cheonan, STEAM-based circle during 9 class instruction. The results of this study are as follows. First, the STEAM program contents for circle activities were selected through utilizing a five-stage design model(preparation, design, development, implementation and evaluation) and analyzing the curriculum. After that we have developed a teaching plan, STEAM-Story, student activity sheets from the viewpoint of cultural fusion and have applied the circle activities of the creative experiential Activity during 4 months. Second, The result of the test(pre- and post-test) about STEAM program that has been developed were different about technology subject self-efficacy and attitude toward engineering. Therefore, we have verified that the effect of the STEAM-based project under the theme of "Photography of Earth" for the circle activities on the attitudes toward engineering and self-efficacy in middle school is effective.

Death preparation education is not only preparing for future death but also for happier and meaningful life. Death is a persistent problem faced by all human beings and can be found in connection with the Home Economics(HE) curriculum in that it is a contextual practical problem of individuals and their society. The purpose of the study is to develop the practical problem-based death preparation education teaching-learning plans that can be applied to middle and high school HE subject. As a result of the study, the HE death preparation education program was developed. The program name is 'Death Preparation Education for the Happy Life of Me and Family'. Also, 12 practical problems and the 4 teaching-learning plans were developed. This study is expected to be used as educational materials to allow middle and high school students to take death naturally in their lives and to practice meaningful everyday life for worthy death during the HE classes. As a follow-up study, we propose a study to examine the needs of death preparation education in HE curriculum and to verify the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process of death preparation education in HE class.
