The french modernist garden of the 1920-30s, significant when studying the history of gardens, has been disregarded in landscape architecture studies. This study aims to review and examine the main characteristics of the French modernist garden in relation to Cubism. In addition this study seeks to recover an unnoticed phase from landscape architecture history and lies in a same thread with studies on the theory of Modernism in landscape architecture. The french modernist garden is closely connected with Cubism, as Cubist garden is a popular synonym for the French modernist garden. used simplified and geometrical forms like Cubist painters. In spacial composition, the French modernist garden offered images of various views in one space, much like the Cubist paintings which showed various aspects of an object simultaneously on the canvas. In the French modernist garden, gorgeous colors and various textures were emphasized, much like the synthetic Cubism. Moreover, in the history of landscape architecture, the state of the French modernist garden which tried to change the traditional gardens into a space more suited to the new life style, is similar to that of Cubism as an art movement in the history of art of the early 20th century.

컴퓨터 게임에 대한 인식은 심리적, 사회적으로 강력한 그 영향력에 비해, 미약한 실정이다. 이에, 긍정적이고 진지한 컴퓨터 게임에 대한 접근을 시도함으로ㅆ, 미래의 주류가 될 가능성이 큰 이 새로운 미디어 형태에 대한 위상을 고취시키는데 도움이 되고자 한다. 프로이트를 기점으로 하여, 주로 프랑스의 후기구조주의적 입장의 도움을 빌러 컴퓨터게임에 대한 이해를 도모하려 노력하였다. 그 결과, 꿈에 대한 연구에서 출발하여, 욕망과 언어구조, 그리고 주체와 대상 간의 차이에 의한 역동으로 컴퓨터 게임 플레이를 조망하기에 이르렀고, 인간의 심리와 신체를 통해 현실에 그 흔적을 남기는, 적적히 컨트롤해야할 파르마콘적 존재로서 컴퓨터 게임에 대한 결론을 내리게 되었다.

This report is the summary of case studies about four quarry rehabilitation and restoration works in France and Austria. In Europe, the rehabilitation program should be prepared before quarrying, and this program should be meet with the expectations of stakeholders (owners, neighbors and NGOs), and the requirements of ecological restoration and environmental protection of the government. This program integrates the concept of sustainable development as well as the often exceptional potential for enhancing ecological diversity offered by quarries. Subsequently, the long-term rehabilitation effort is coordinated as closely as possible with quarrying operations, and finally the site is shut down, all measures are taken to ensure the long-term future of the rehabilitated site. The coordinated restoration project applicable to sections where quarrying operations are still in progress confines the working area to keep the visual impact of the quarry to a minimum. The re-established sites offer such great ecological diversity that they were classified as special plant and wildlife ecological zones. Wide range of rehabilitation alternatives offer opportunities to combine environmental preservation goals with social benefits. The actions include agriculture/forestry, recreational/educational developments and other uses.

일반적으로 근대 디자인의 역사는 19세기 중반 영국에서 시작된 것으로 이해되고 있다. 이 시기의 유럽은 프랑스 혁명과 한업혁명을 거치면서 성장한 부르주와 계층이 역사의 전면에 부상하며 과거 봉건적 전퉁사회와는 전혀 다른 근대사회를 성립해가고 있었다 새롭게 사회의 주역으로 부상한 부르주아 계층은 그들만의 고유한 새로운 미학을 확립하고자 했고 이러한 과정에서 근대 디자인이 탄생하게 되었다. 본 연구에서는 지난 150여 년간의 디자인의 역사를 근대 프로젝트로서의 디자인 혹은 모던 디자인 프로젝트라는 관점에서 파악하고자 한다. 초기 근대 디자인 이념의 형성과정에서부터 최근의 탈근대 논의에 이르기까지의 디자인 역사를 모던 디자인 프로젝트의 형성과 변질, 그리고 이에 대한 비판과 재평가라는 맥락에서 이해하고자 하는 것은 이ㅓ한 논의가 현재 진행중인 탈근대로의 급격한 전환과정을 이해하고 미래에 대한 전망을 갖게 하는데 도움이 되기 때문이다.

나노물질의 위험성에 관한 지식과 규제가 부족하지만, 지속가능하고 책임있는 나노기술의 발전을 위해서는 나노물질의 잠재적인 위험을 언급해야 한다. 이 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 해결할 수 있는, 웹에 기반한 교육 및 소통 도구인 '나노스마일'을 소개한다. 원래 프랑스 원자력청 내부 교육을 위해 개발된 '나노스마일'은 2006년 유럽 과제인 '나노세이2'에 포함되면서 그 대상을 일반 대중까지 포함하고 서로 작용하는 웹사이트로 발전되었다. 웹사이트 운용 중 수집된 훈련과정에서의 반향과 웹사이트의 전망 및 한계도 서술되어 있다.

What is the fundamental cause of the broader gap between East and West medicine? This is a very long story that began in the late Renaissance and still continues today. Why it took so long time from the end of the XIIth century when acupuncture was firt imported to Europe to XX century when it was finally settled in France? We present three cases which caused the delayed establishment : A "blisters" article from Diderot and D'Alembert in the eighteenth century, the practice of acupuncture by Dr. Berlioz in Paris in early 19th century, and the reception of the works of Georges Soulie de Morant in France in the 1930's. We attempt to show the misunderstanding that has always prevailed between the East and West medicines because of different viewpoint : the West has not understood the richness and subtlety of the approach of East asian thought and wanted to "align" the Asian medical modality to west medicine with inappropriate and insufficient "experiments" without enough explanation of the principles and philosophical backgrounds. It was not the matter of technology but the mutual incomprehension of history and culture.

Magnum Korea, a 2008 exhibit at the Hangaram Art Museum in the Seoul Arts Center, introduced representative images of Korea to commemorate the 60th year of the founding of the nation. Twenty photographers of various backgrounds participated in Magnum Korea. This study focuses on one of the exhibited photographers, the French photographer Bruno Barbey. Born in Morocco, Barbey occupies a special position in today's modern photography not to mention in the Magnum group of traditional medium of photography. His photographic world is affiliated with the humanism of Robert Diosneau, particularly as his photographic medium is based on communication and code. Among the photographs in the Magnum Korea collection, Barbey's photographs can be organized into six different subjects: industrial structures in nature, industrial buildings, traditional relics of culture, terminals, markets and restaurants, and daily life. This paper takes special interest in Barbey's unique perspective on Korea's traditional cultural assets focusing on 'Seoul, Jogyesa'. What is the uniqueness of our culture as contained in Barbey's works? In other words, how did he capture the special characteristics of our culture that are often overlooked or ignored because they are so familiar to us? A semiotic approach is used to discover what common but special situations and realities of Korea attracted this photographer and how he managed to capture them in his photographs.

2020년 7월 하순에 전남 해남의 무화과 농장에서 Aclees속에 속하는 바구미가 발견되었다. 이 바구미는 무화과곰보바구미(신칭), Aclees taiwanensis Kôno, 1933로 동정되었다. 아마도 아열대 및 열대 아시아가 원산인 이 외래종 바구미는 이탈리아와 프랑스에도 침입되어 무화과나무에 심각한 피해를 일으키고 있다. 이 논문이 한국에서 보고되는 Aclees속 바구미에 대한 첫 보고이다.

본 논문은 우주 선진국 및 우리나라의 민/군 지구관측위성 개발 동향에 대해 조사하였으며, 국내 위성사업의 현황 및 향후 방향에 대해 기술하였다. 우주 선진국의 민/군 지구관측위성 개발 동향은 미국, 러시아, 프랑스, 독일, 이탈리아, 이스라엘, 중국 그리고 일본에 대해 조사하였으며, 이를 바탕으로 향후 지구관측위성 개발 방향에 대해 예측하였다. 일반적으로 위성 개발이라는 용어는 위성시스템을 구성하는 위성체, 지상체 및 발사체 등을 모두 포함하여 개발하는 개념으로 사용되지만, 본 논문에서는 위성 시스템이 아닌 위성체 자체의 개발을 중점으로 사용하였다.

이 연구는 도서관의 전자책 서비스가 지속되기 위한 전제 조건으로서, 전자책 라이선스의 합리적인 개선방안을 마련하기 위한 것이다. 전자책 라이선스를 둘러싸고 벌어지는 국내 도서관과 출판계의 첨예한 갈등을 이해하고, 이를 바탕으로 그 해결방안을 제안하고자 한다. 이를 위해서 전자책 대출 라이선스가 가지는 법적인 의미를 분석한다. 출판계와 도서관이 갈등을 빚는 근본적인 원인을 전자책의 특성을 함께 다루었다. 아울러 전자책 라이선스의 다양한 유형을 정리하고 우리나라를 비롯한 세계 주요 국가들(미국, 독일, 프랑스, 일본)의 도서관 전자책 라이선스 현황과 갈등의 양상을 파악하였다. 이를 바탕으로 국내의 문제를 해결하는 데 도움이 될 시사점을 제시하였다.
