  • 태양광발전, 풍력발전등의 분산형 전원의 보급, 전력전자기기의 보급 확대, 부하설비의 다양화등에 의해, 교류 계통의 전력품질에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 전력품질로서 지금까지 전압, 주파수, 평균정전회수, 정전시간, 순간전압강하, 고조파에 주안점을 두고 있었다. 여기서는 전력품질 국제규격의 현재의 적용규격과 장래의 발전방향에 대하여 비교, 검토한 사례를 소개하고자 한다.

Design of Test Site for Large-Scale Wind Turbine Performance Verification (초대형 풍력터빈 시험을 위한 실증시험장 설계)

  • This paper designs a wind turbine test site based on international regulations for the certification of wind turbine prototypes. The maximum height of the meteorological mast installed at the test site is 140m, and power facilities capable of testing up to three wind turbines of 5MW or more are installed. The weather resources measured at the mast can be recorded and analyzed using a monitoring system. Wind turbine manufacturers can use this test site during the certification period, and the installed wind turbines can be used for continuous power generation projects. Therefore, this test site can provide fundamental data for measuring the long-term performance and durability of wind turbines, which can be used to improve models or develop new wind turbines.

  • 본 논문은 새로운 풍력단지를 조성함에 있어서 이로 인해 배전계통의 보호방식에 끼치는 영향을 분석한 것이다. 분석 대상으로는 $1.6MW{\times}12$(19.2MW)의 유도발전기들로 구성되는 Wind Farm이 154kV S/S의 주변압기 직하에 전용선로로 도입되는 것으로 하여 이 때의 배전계통의 보호방식에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다.

  • The Yeongnam southeastern region, with Ulsan as its focal point, is planning large-scale floating offshore wind power projects. Additionally, due to the establishment of new nuclear power plants and the extension of existing ones, there is a demand for the expansion of the power grid. The government has announced plans to establish a new power grid for this region as part of the 10th power supply plan. However, there are anticipated challenges in the actual construction phase, primarily because of the presence of national parks and cultural heritage protection zones near Gyeongju. As a result, this study presents an alternative approach that minimizes the creation of new power lines by utilizing existing ones. Using the Power System Simulator for Engineers (PSS/E), an analysis of transient stability was conducted and demonstrated its feasibility.

Assessment of Offshore Wind Power Potential for Turbine Installation in Coastal Areas of Korea (터빈설치를 위한 한국 연안 해상풍력발전 부존량 평가)

  • In this paper, wind data at 20 locations are collected and analyzed in order to review optimal candidate site for offshore wind farm around Korean marginal seas. Observed wind data is fitted to Rayleigh and Weibull distribution and annual energy production is estimated according to wind frequency. As the model of wind turbine generator, seven kinds of output of 1.5~5 MW were selected and their performance curves were used. As a result, Repower-5 MW turbines showed high energy production at wind speeds of 7.15 m/s or higher, but G128-4.5 MW turbines were found to be favorable at lower wind speeds. In the case of Marado, Geojedo and Pohang, where the rate of occurrence of wind speeds over 10 m/s was high, the capacity factor of REpower's 5 MW offshore wind turbine was 56.49%, 50.92% and 50.08%, respectively.

  • In this paper, we introduce the linear regression model taking the parametric spatial association structure into account and employ it to five-year averaged wind speed data measured at 460 meteorological monitoring stations in South Korea. From the prediction map obtained by the model with spatial association parameters, we can see that inland area has smaller wind speed than coastal regions. When comparing the spatial linear regression model with classical one by using one-leave-out cross-validation, the former outperforms the latter in terms of similarity between the observations and the corresponding predictions and coverage rate of 95% prediction intervals.

  • 국내 신재생에너지의 보급은 정부 보조금 지원을 통해 국내 지역별로 다양한 형태, 발전 용량으로 보급되고 있다. 그 중에서도 태양광 발전의 주택보급과 산간지역의 풍력발전 보급은 발전 규모와 설비가 대형화 되어 가고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 발전 시스템 지원을 위한 지역 기후 현황 분석과 발전 시스템과의 연계를 통해 특성을 분석하고자 하였다.

  • This paper presents a novel random sampling method for generation adequacy assessment including wind-power. Although a time sequential sampling has advantages than a random sampling in its assessment results, it takes long assessment time. Therefore, an effective random sampling method for generation adequacy assessment is highly recommended to get specific reliability indices quickly. The proposed method is based on the Monte-Carlo simulation with state sampling and it can be applied to generation adequacy assessment with other intermittent power sources.

  • 현대 전력산업은 IEC61850의 표준화작업이 한창 진행중이다. IEC61850-7-4는 전력설비 요소마다 Logical Node를 선언해 놓았다. 현재의 Logical Node는 보호, 제어, 인터페이스, 기록, 자동, 측정, 센서 & 모니터링, 변전기기 등의 그룹으로 나뉘어져 있다. 그러나 본 논문에서 대상으로 하는 GIS 예방진단 시스템에 관한 Logical Node와 공통 데이터 클레스(CDC: Common Data Class)가 명확히 선언되지 않았다. 1993년 IEC61850의 객체모델이 제안될 때부터 변전소의 다양한 설비를 완벽하게 객체화 할 수 있는가에 대한 의문이 있었으며 현재에서 이런 의문점을 개선하기 위하여 TC57위원회에서는 지속적인 모델 수정 및 정비 작업을 수행하였다. 실제로 현재에도 전력품질에 대한 logical node가 'Q'그룹으로 새롭게 제시되고 있고 풍력발전이나 분산전원에 대한 logical node가 추가되거나 기존의 IEC61850-7-4의 내용이 수정되고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구는 이와 같이 변전설비 자동화에 필요하지만 IEC TC57에서 표준화되지 않은 온라인 GIS 예방진단용 설비에 대한 표준모델을 제시하였고 모델에 대한 logical node나 CDC를 구성하였다.

Development of a Cross-flow Type Vertical Wind Power Generation System for Electric Energy Generation Using Convergent-Divergent Duct (축소-확대 유로에 적용한 횡류형 수직 풍력발전시스템의 개발)

  • New concept of wind energy conversion system is proposed to increase the energy density at a given working space. The quality of wind for wind power generation is depend on its direction and speed. However, the quality is not good on land because wind direction is changeable all the time and the speed as well. The most popularly operated wind turbine system is an axial-flow free turbine. But its conversion efficiency is less than 30% and even less than 20% considering the operating time. In this research, a cross-flow type wind turbine system is proposed with a convergent-divergent duct system to accelerate the low speed wind at the inlet of the wind turbine. Inlet guide vane is also introduced to the wind turbine system to have continuous power generation under the change of wind direction. In here, the availability of wind energy generation is evaluated with the change of the size of the inlet guide vane and the optimum geometry of the turbine impeller blade was found for the innovative wind power generation system.
