Improvement of Damage Localization Performance for CFRP-debonding defects using Piezo-electric Sensors (압전센서 기반 CFRP 부착면 탈락 손상영역 탐색성능 향상)

  • 최근 콘크리트 구조물의 안전성강화를 위해 탄소섬유 강화 플라스틱(CFRP) 보강 공법이 널리 사용되고 있지만 잘 알려진 바와 같이 CFRP 보강재와 콘크리트 표면사이의 부착면 탈락은 보강재 자체의 손상보다 발생할 확률이 높고 이러한 부착면 탈락은 보강의 효과를 무의미하게 만들기 때문에 구조물 전체의 파괴로 직결될 수 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 CFRP 부착면 탈락손상을 실시간으로 검색하기 위해 압전센서를 사용하는 구조물 건전성 평가 기술을 적용하였다. 이의 검증을 위해 CFRP로 보강된 콘크리트 보를 제작하였고 3단계로 증가하는 부착면 탈락 손상을 발생시켰다. 손상 증가 단계마다 CFRP 표면에 배열된 압전센서로부터 임피던스와 유도초음파 신호를 계측하였고 손상에 따른 신호변화를 정량화하기 위해 손상지수인 RMSD를 계산하였다. 더 구체적인 부착면 탈락 손상위치 탐색을 위해서 두 가지 계측 기법으로부터 구해진 RMSD 값를 중첩시키는 Superposed RMSD 가 제안되었다. 구해진 Superposed RMSD 값을 사용하여 커브 피팅이 수행되었고 도출된 커브의 최고값에 해당하는 위치값을 찾아 실제 손상위치와 비교함으로써 제안된 기법의 가능성을 검증해 보았다.

  • 한 문장의 주어가 우리말에서처럼 수의적으로 나타날 수 있는가 혹은 영어에서처럼 반드시 표면에 나타나야 하는가에 따라 공주어언어 (null-subject language)와 비공주어언어(non-null-subject language)로 분류된다. 이러한 주어 탈락 현상에 대하여 이론적으로 다양한 가설이 제기되어 왔다. 본 논문에서는 한국어의 언어 습득 자료에 나타나는 주어 탈락의 양상을 살피고, 이를 비공주어언어인 영어자료와 공주어언어인 이탈리아어, 포르투갈어, 중국어자료와 비교함으로써 궁극적으로 이론적 가설을 비교 평가하는 데 이바지하고자 한다.

EFFECTS OF ACID ETCHING TIMES ON ENAMEL SURFACE MORPHOLOGY AND SHEAR BOND STRENGTH OF ORTHODONTIC ATTACHMENT TO ENAMEL (산부식시간이 법랑질 표면 부식형태와 교정장치의 전단접착강도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this in vitro study was to evaluate the effects of different acid etching times on the enamel surface morphology, shear bond strength and debonding failure mode of orthodontic attachment. Ninety six extracted human mandibular premolars were divided into eight groups of twelve teeth. The buccal surfaces were etched with $37\%$, phosphoric acid for 5, 10, 15, 30, 45, 60, 90 and 120 seconds, respectively. Two teeth from each group were used for scanning electron microscope examination. On the etched buccal surfaces of remaining teeth, orthodontic attachments(lingual buttons) were bonded with light cured orthodontic adhesive. Twenty foot hours after bonding, a Instron universal testing machine was used to determine shear bond strength of orthodontic attachment to enamel. After debonding, bases of orthodontic attachments and enamel surfaces were examined under stereoscopic microscope to determine failure mode. Statistical analysis of the data was carried out with one nay ANOVA and Duncan's multiple range test The results were as follows; 1. There was no statistically significant difference in shear bond strengths between the various etching times(p<0.05). 2. The failure modes of orthodontic attachments had some differences. In 5, 10 and 15 seconds etching groups, the percentage of adhesive/enamel interface failure was higher than that of adhesive/attachment interface failure. On the contrary, in 30, 45, 60, 90 and 120 seconds etching groups, the results were reversed. 3. The etching patterns of enamel surfaces had a great variation. So, we could not find any correlation between etching pattern and bond strength. 4. The findings in this study indicate that in vitro reduction of the etching me to 5 seconds maintains clinically acceptable bond strength. However, further study is required to determine the cause of failure mode in 5, 10 and 15 seconds groups.

Shear bond strength of rebonded orthodontic bracket with flowable resin (Flowable resin을 이용한 브라켓의 재접착 시 전단결합강도에 대한 연구)

  • This study was performed to evaluate clinical practicality of the rebonding method with flowable resin without the removal of the residual resin on the debonded theeth and debonded bracket base after debonding. The samples of the control group (group I) were rebonded with Transbond XT using the usual rebonding method after the residual resin was removed. At experimental group, the brackets were rebonded with Transbond XT(group II) and CharmFil Flow (group III) without removal of residual resin which is the possibility becoming the index (or rebonding to similar position With initial bonding. The Shear bond Strength of the each group was measured. Patterns of bonding failure were evaluated with modified ARI score. and the shear bond strength according to patterns of bonding failure at experimental group was compared. Between the control group $(6.51\pm1.21MPa)$ and the group II rebonded with Transbond XT $(6.30\pm1.01MPa)$ did not have significantly difference in the shear bond strength (p=0.534), and the shear bond strength of group II was Significantly lower 4han the group III rebonded With CharmFil Flow $(7.29\pm1.54 MPa)$ (P=0.009). At control group, there was not large difference if distribution of bending failure pattern. But at experimental group, bond failure did not occur in interface between the resin-enamel. and bond failure between the resin-bracket, within the resin was distributed similarly. There was not significantly difference in the shear bond strength according to patterns of bonding failure at experimental group (P>0.05) The result of this study showed that the method suggested in this study aid flowable resin as rebonding adhesive could be useful in clinically.

Making Method of Deterioration Map and Evaluation Techniques of Surface and Three-dimensional Deterioration Rate for Stone Cultural Heritage (석조문화유산의 손상지도 제작방법과 표면 및 3차원 손상율 평가기법)

  • This study focus on the suggestion of standard legend, the process system on making method of deterioration map, the development of crack index (CI), and the evaluation techniques of surface and 3D deterioration rate for stone cultural heritage. The standard legends of deterioration forms were made using a common graphic program after crack, blistering, scaling, break-out, granular disintegration, and perforation were subdivided. The deterioration map improved accuracy and reliability on deterioration range using 3D digital restoration and high resolution photograph mapping technique. Also, quantitative deterioration evaluation of stone cultural heritage was carried out developing the crack index, and the 3D deterioration rate of a break-out part was calculated by virtual restoration modeling. As a quantitative deterioration evaluation of Magoksa Temple stone pagoda based on the results described above, the north face showed high deterioration rate of bursting crack (1.70), hair crack (1.34), scaling (20.2%) and break out (13.0%), and the 3D deterioration rate of first roof stone was 6.7%.

An Experimental Study on the Flexural Strengthening Effect of Reinforced Concrete Beams Flexural Strengthened by CFRP (CFRP로 보강된 철근콘크리트 보의 휨 보강효과에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • Recently, many researches have been conducted about reinforced concrete structures strengthened with FRP plates. In case of structures strengthened with FRP plates, the issue of premature debonding FRP plate has been raised through many previous researches. The purpose of this paper is what structural behavior and flexaural capacity of reinforced concrete beams which are strengthened for flexure is investigated about the using secondary ironware in the method of external bonded CFRP plate, and the method of near surface mounted CFRP-Rod. Also, in order to evaluate flexural capacity, experiments of the reinforced concrete beams with exteranl bonded CFRP plate and near surface mounted CFRP-Rod have been compared and investigated.

A Study on Fire Resistance and Spalling of HPC Beam with Fiber-Cocktail in ISO Fire under Loading Condition (표준화재 재하조건하에서 Fiber Cocktail을 혼입한 고강도 콘크리트 보의 폭렬특성 및 내화성능에 관한 연구)

  • In an attempt to control the spalling in high strength concrete, spalling reducer was mixed to identify the effect and thermal characteristics of concrete beam member at high temperature. The member was manufactured in such as way of adding 40~60MPa of high strength concrete into spalling reducer, and then fire resistance performance were monitored under the ISO standard fire load condition in accordance with KS F 2257. As a result of test, fore rate performance of 40MPa beam without spalling reducer was 180minutes, 50MPa was 174minutes and 60MPa was 152minutes, indicating that 50MPa and 60MPa beam appeared 6~28minutes short to become a 3-hour rate. However, 50 and 60MPa beam mixed with spalling reducer appeared to have satisfied the requirements for 180minutes. A spalling was occurred in surface of 50 and 60MPa beam mixed without spalling reducer, while no spalling or surface failure was occurred with 50 and 60MPa beam mixed with spalling reducer. Thus polypropylene fiber mixed with the concrete proved to be effective, but viewing that the surface of 60MPa was peeled off partially, the steel fiber mixed appeared not to be effective for the beam more than 60MPa.

An Experimental Study on the Flexural Behavior of RC Beams Strengthened with NSM and EBR CFRP Strips (표면매입 및 외부부착 탄소섬유판으로 보강된 RC보의 휨 거동에 관한 실험 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the flexural strengthening effectiveness for the beams combined reinforced with NSM CFRP strips and EBR CFRP strips. To accomplish this objective, a total of nine concrete T beams were tested. From this study, it is found that the flexural stiffness and strength of the beams combined reinforced with NSM and EBR strips were significantly improved compared to the beams strengthened only with NSM CFRP strip. The maximum increase of flexural strength was 347% compared to the beam without CFRP strip. Failure of the beam combined reinforced with NSM and EBR strips (T shape) is initiated by debonding of EBR strips attached on the bottom face, and it was succeeded a part of separatio-n of NSM strips along the longitudinal direction and secondly failure of NSM strips was occurred, eventually sudden explosive failure with the separation of concrete cover in the shear region. This result shows that the NSM and EBR strips have good combination to resist applied load and the combined reinforcement with NSM and EBR strips can redistribute appropriately the total stress subjected concrete beam to the EBR and NSM strips.

Effect of Epidermal Changes in the Mice Skin Following Glycolic Acid Peeling (글리콜산을 사용한 화학적 필링이 Mice 피부 표피에 미치는 영향)

  • In this study, we applied 15% glycolic acid peeling agent and 30% glycolic acid peeling agent to the dorsal skin of mice and analyzed the oil content, moisture content, and pH value of the skin before and after test using cutometer. Ultrastructure for changes in the epidermis of mice were observed under a dermoscope and a scanning electron microscope before and after test. When using 15% glycolic acid peeling agent, the changes of moisture content was measured 74.67 AU for the normal control group and 70.21 AU for the experimental group, the oil content was 13.49 mg/$cm^2$ for the normal control group before test and 8.25 mg/$cm^2$ after test, and the pH value was 6.70 and 5.36 before and after test, respectively. When using 30% glycolic acid peeling agent, the moisture content was measured 74.46 AU for the normal control group before test and 53.50 AU for the experimental group after test, the oil content was 13.82mg/$cm^2$ and 5.70 mg/$cm^2$ before and after test, and the pH value was 6.45 and 4.58 before and after test, respectively. As such, it was found that the changes of moisture and oil content on the skin rely on the concentration of peeling agent and the degree of exfoliation of keratin. The surface of stratum corneum of mice with application of 15% glycolic acid peeling agent was relatively smooth and the exposed cellular surface of keratinocyte had some wrinkles. The surface of stratum corneum of mice with application of 30% glycolic acid peeling agent was smooth. No wrinkles were observed under high-resolution scanning electron microscope.

Deterioration Assessment and Conservational Scientific Diagnosis of the Stone Pagoda in the Bunhwangsa temple, Gyeongju, Korea (경주 분황사석탑의 풍화훼손도 평가와 보존과학적 진단)

  • The stone pagoda of the Bunhwangsa temple made by piling small brick-shaped stones. The major rock forming stone bricks are andesites with variable genesis. Rock properties of the pagoda roof stone suffer partly including multiple peel-offs, exfoliation, decomposition like onion peels, cracks forming round lines and falling off stone pieces. The stylobates and tabernacles in all the four directions the pagoda are mostly composed of granitic rocks. Those rock properties are heavily contaminated by lichens and mosses with the often marks of inorganic contamination by secondary hydrates that are dark black or yellowish brown. Within the four tabernacles and northern pagoda body situated to relatively high humidity. There are even light gray precipitate looking like stalactites between the northern and western rocks of the body Their major minerals are calcite, gypsum and clays. The stone lion standing in the southeast and northeast side are alkali granite, while that in the southwest and northwest lithic tuff. Total rock properties of the pagoda are 9,708 pieces, among the all properties, fractured blocks are 11.0%, fall out blocks are 6.7% and covered blocks by precipitates are 7.0%, respectively. The pagoda has highly deteriorated the functions of the rock properties due to physical, chemical and biological weathering, therefore, we suggest that this pagoda has need to do long term monitoring and synthetic conservation researches.
